TheGEHealthcareElectrodeApplicationSystemKISS™isusedtoassistinthe
applicationofECGelectrodesfortheacquisitionofrestingandexerciseECGs.The
systemisoptimallysuitedfromanergonomicviewpoint.

AnumberofdifferentKISS™versionsareavailable:

•KISS™-10(Standard)andKISS™-12(Standard+Nehb).

•KISS™Multilead(KISS™forCAM-14AcquisitionModule):10-lead(default)and
optionalelectrodeextensionkitsforFRANK,NEHBandA1..A4

Theelectrodeleadsareconductedtoacommontrunkcableviaacentralelectrode
distributor.Integratedintheelectrodes-andtrunkcable-isthepneumatictubing
connector.

AnumberofinstrumentversionsareavailabletomatchtheECGrecorderand
acquisitionmoduleused.

AnoptionfortheelectrodeapplicationsystemKISS™comprisesapolewithan
extendibleswivelarmadjustableinlengthandheightforinstallationonaGE
Healthcareinstrumentcart.Withthebracketsprovidedintheaccessorykit,the
systemcanbemountedtoawalloronaninstrumenttable.

Anelectricallyoperatedsuctionpump,installedintheECGrecorder/stresssystemor
inasystempowersupplyunitgeneratesaconstantnegativepressure,thenegative
pressurecontrollerinthedistributorenablingcontrolledadjustment.

Thenegativepressurecanbeadjustedwithinarangeof80to220mbarinaccordance
withtherequiredapplication.

Thesuctionpumponlyoperateswhennegativepressuremustbecreatedafter
attachingtheelectrodesorwhenalossinpressureforelectrodesalreadyattached
hastobecompensatedfor.Thispermitstheuseofaquiet,lowWattratingpump.

Thepowersupplyunitsuppliesthesuctionpumpwithmainsvoltagesfrom110V
to240V.

Thesilver/silverchlorideelectrodesareattachedbysuctionbypressingbrieyonthe
suctioncupattheapplicationsite.Avalveopensintheelectrodelead,enablingthe
generationofnegativepressure.

Theleadwiresarepluggedintothedistributorheadforeasyreplacement.When
removingtheleadpullontheplug.Whenplugginginanewleaddonotuseforce;the
