Replacement 24 V. Solenoid Valve for Research Products Humidifiers
Flow
1. Remove old valve, noting direction of ow, voltage and hertz. This
replacement valve has a 24 volt, 60 Hz coil.
2. Re-orient the inlet and outlet of the new valve, if necessary, by loosening
the nut on top of the coil housing, rotating the valve body 180 deg. and
retightening. Do not reverse the brass ttings as the valve will not function
if ow is reversed.
3. The new valve has the ow control orice and protective screen on the
inlet side of the valve. Remove and discard the old orice usually
located in the tubing at the outlet of the old valve.
4. Mount the new valve in its proper position and make tubing connections
to the inlet and outlet. Important: Connections to plastic tubing require a
brass insert inside the tubing, a plastic sleeve on the outside with a brass
compression nut. Copper tubing requires a brass sleeve and a brass
compression nut.
5. Turn on water supply and check operation of unit. Set humidistat to
demand setting and turn the furnace on so the blower circuit will be
energized. The solenoid valve will open and supply water to the humidier.
