Please read this manual carefully and thoroughly before using this product.
SETUP INSTRUCTIONS
1.
Remove the plastic film from the display.
2.
In the back of the unit, open the battery
compartment by sliding its cover up and off in the
direction of the arrow (see figure).
3.
Insert the supplied “AAA” battery in the direction
indicated. The beeper will sound quickly four times.
The display will show a running clock beginning at
AM 12:00:00
.
4.
Replace the battery compartment cover.
TO SET THE CLOCK
1.
Press and hold the
CLOCK
button. A black cursor will
blink in the bottom left corner of the display.
2.
Press the sequence of number keys corresponding
to the present time, adding an initial
0
for singledigit hour numbers. For example: To set the clock to
4:15 (AM or PM), press
0 4 1 5
. To set the clock to
11:30, press
1 1 3 0
. If you make a mistake entering
digits, press the
CLEAR
button. This resets the
procedure to the first step.
3.
Toggle between AMand PM(shown at the left of the
time) by pressing the
START/STOP
button (stenciled
AM ≈ PM
in black).
4.
When the hours and minutes digits (and AM or PM
setting) of the time are correct as shown, add the
seconds digits by pressing any two number buttons
(or
0 0
at the top of the minute for a precise setting).
This saves the clock setting.
5.
To view the clock display in 24-hour (military)
format, press the small gray button on the upper
back of the unit stenciled

TO USE THE STOPWATCH
(COUNT-UP TIMER)
1.
Press the
COUNT-UP
button. The beeper will sound,
COUNT UP
will appear in the upper right corner, and
the display will read
0:00:00
.
2.
Press the
START/STOP
button to start counting up
from 0:00:00. The beeper will sound. Press the
button again to pause the counter, sounding the
beeper again. Press the
START/STOP
button again
to resume counting up.
3.
To reset the counter to
0:00:00
, pause the counter
and press the
CLEAR
button.
4.
The count-up timer “rolls over” to
0:00:00
one
second past 9:59:59.
TO USE THE COUNTDOWN TIMER
1.
Press the
TIMER
button. The beeper will sound,
TIMER
will appear in the upper right corner, and the
display will read
0:00:00
.
2.
Press, in order, the five number keys corresponding
to the desired countdown duration. For example:
To enter a duration of 3 hours, 48 minutes and 30
seconds, press
3 4 8 3 0
. You can enter any
duration—including numbers larger than 60 for
minutes or seconds—but you must enter exactly
five digits. This feature can come in handy. For
example, you can enter a duration of 90 minutes
simply by keying in
0 9 0 0 0
.
3.
Press the
START/STOP
button to begin the
countdown. The beeper will sound. Press the button
again to pause the countdown, sounding the beeper
again. Press the
START/STOP
button again to
resume the countdown.
4.
The alarm will sound when the countdown reaches
0:00:00. To cancel the alarm, press the
START/STOP
button. The display will reset to the last duration
entered. To count down from this value again, press
the
START/STOP
button again.
5.
To reset the countdown counter to
0:00:00
, pause
the countdown and press the
CLEAR
button.
OPERATING NOTE
• In clock mode, the terms
COUNT UP
or
TIMER
will
appear in the upper right corner of the display to
remind you that either the Count-Up timer
(Stopwatch) or Count-Down timer is working.
If both are working, both terms will appear.
