DESCRIPTION

CONGRATULATIONS on your purchase of a

GENERAC high pressure washer. It has been designed,
engineered and manufactured to giveyou the best possible
dependability and performance.

This manual contains information for a high pressure
washer that operates at 2,400 PSIat a flow rate of

2.2gallons per minute. This highquality residential system
features 10" wheels, axial campump with stainlesssteel

pistons, automatic cool down system, chemical injection
system, adjustable spray nozzle. Includes safetygoggles,

heavy duty 25' hose, and more.

Pleaseread and retain this manual.The instructions will

enable you to assembleyour unit without tools, and
maintain your high pressure washer properly.

SAFETY RULES

_ AUTION! When setting up,transporting,

adjusting or making repairs to your high pressure
washer,alwaysdisconnect the spark plug wire from
the spark plug and place the wire where it cannot
contact spark plug.

_ DANGER! Engineexhaust gasescontain DEADLY

carbon monoxide gas.This dangerousgas,if
breathed in sufficient concentrations, can cause

unconsciousness or even death. OperatJ_ this

equipment only in the open air where adequate
ventilation isavailable.

_ ANGER! Gasoline is highly FLAMMABLE and its

vapors are EXPLOSIVE.Do Not permit smoking,
open flames, sparks or heat in the vicinity while
handling gasoline. Avoid spilling gasolineon a hot
engine.Allow unit to coot for 2 minutes before
refueling. Comply with all laws regulating storage
and handlingof gasoline.

Read this manual carefully and become familiar

with your pressure washer. Know its applications,

its limitations, and any hazards involved.

• Operate engine only at governed speed.Runningthe
engine at excessive speeds increasesthe hazardof
personal injury. Do Not tamper with parts which may
increase or decreasethe governed speed.

• Do Not wear loose clothing, jewelry or anything that
may be caught in the starter or other rotating parts.

• Before starting the pressure washer in cold weather,
check all parts of the equipment and be sure ice has not

formed there.

• Never usea spraygun whichdoesnot havea trigger lock
or trigger guard in placeand in working order.

• Keep the hose connected to machine or the spraygun
while the system ispressurized. Disconnecting the hose

while the unit is pressurized is dangerous.

• Never operate units with broken or missing parts, or
without protective housing or covers.

• Operate and store this unit on astable surface.

• Check the fuel system for leaks or signs of deterioration,
such as chafed or spongy hose, loose or missing clamps,

or damagedtank or cap.Correct all defects before
operating the pressure washer.

• Do Not spray flammableliquids.

• Do Not secure the spraygun inthe open position.

• Use a respirator or mask whenever there is a chance
that vaporsmay be inhaled.Readall instructionswith
mask so you are certain the mask will provide the
necessary protection againstinhalingharmful vapors.

• Never aim the spray gun at people, animals or plants.
The high pressure stream of water that this equipment
produces can pierce skin and its underlying tissues,
leading to serious injury and possible amputation.

• Never allow any part of the body to come in contact
with the fluid stream. Do Not come in contact with a

fluidstream created by a leak in the high pressurehose.

• Always wear eye protection when you usethis
equipment or when you are in the vicinitywhere the
equipment is in use.

• High pressure spraycan causepaint chips or other
particles to become airborne.

• Do Not operate the pressure washer above the rated
pressure.

• Never move the machine by pulling on the high pressure
hose. Use the handle provided on the unit.

• Always be certain the spraygun, nozzles and accessories

are correctly attached.

• High pressure spray maydamagefragile itemsincluding

glass.Do Not point spraygun at glasswhen in the jet
spray mode.

• Hold the spraygun firmly in your hand before you start

the unit. Failureto do so could result in an injury from a
whipping spray gun. Do Not leavethe spray gun

unattended while the machine is running,

• The cleaning area should haveadequate slopes and

drainage to reduce the possibility of a fall due to slippery
surfaces.

• Keepwater spray awayfrom electric wiring or fatal

electric shock may result.

• Do Not by-pass any safety device on this machine.

• The muffler and engine heat up during operation and
remain hot immediatelyafter shutting it down. Avoid

contact with a hot muffler or engine asyou could be
severely burned.

• High pressure hose can develop leaks from wear, kinking,

abuse, etc. Water sprayingfrom a leak is capable of

injectingmaterial into skin. Inspect hose eachtime before
usingit. Check all hosesfor cuts, leaks, abrasions or
bulgingof cover, or damageor movement of couplings. If

any of these conditions exist, replace hose immediately.

Never repair high pressure hose. Replace it with

another hose that exceeds maximum pressure rating of
your unit.

• The muffler and air cleaner must be installedand ingood

condition before operating the pressure washer. These
components act asspark arresters if the enginebackfires.

In the State of California a spark arrester is required by law
(Section 4442 of the California Public ResourcesCode).

Other states may have similar laws.Federal laws applyon
federal lands.

NOTE: If you equip the muffler with a spark arrester, it
must be maintained in effective working order. You can

order a spark arrester through your authorized Honda
service dealer.

PREPARING PRESSURE

WASHER FOR USE

If you have any problems with the assemblyof your
pressure washer or if parts are missingor damaged,call the
pressure washer helpline at 1-800-270-1408.

To prepare your pressure washer for operation, you
will need to perform these tasks:

• Fill out and send in the registration card.

• Attach the handle.

• Add oil to the engine crankcase.

• Add fuel to the fuel tank.

• Connect the high pressure hoseto the spray gunand the
pump.

• Connect the water supply to the pump.

NOTE: All assemblyoperations given in this section will
be described from the perspective of assemblingthe

pressure washer from the rear.

• Placethe handle onto the handle supports already
connected to the main unit. Makesure the holes in the

handle align with the holes on the handle supports
(Figure I).

• Insertthecarriageboltthroughtheholesfromthe
outsideoftheunitandattachaplasticknobfromthe
insideoftheunit.Tightenbyhand(Figure2).

• Insert the "J"hook into the second from the left slot in
the accessorytray (Figure 3).

• Pinchthe chemical hose that comes out of a hole in the
unit's baseand slide it into the metal clip asshown in

Figure4.

Add Engine Oil

IMPORTANT: Any attempt to crank or start the engine

before it hasbeen properly servicedwith the
recommended oil may result in anenginefailure.

• Placepressurewasher on a level surface.

• Refer to the engine owners manual to add recommended
oil to engine.

NOTE: Check olt often during engine break-in. Refer to
engine owner's manual for recommendations.

Add Gasoline

_ ANGER! Never fill fuel tank indoors.Never fill

fuel tank when engine isrunning or hot. Do Not
smoke when filling fuel tank.

_ ARNING! Never fillfuel tank completely full.

Provide spacefor fuel expansion. Wipe away any

fuel spillagefrom engine and equipment before
starting.

• Usefresh,cleanunleadedautomotive gasolineand store in
approved, clean, covered containers. Use clean fill
funnels. Never use "stale" gasolineleft over from last
seasonor gasoline stored for longperiods.

• Clean areaaround fuel fill cap, remove cap.

• Slowly add gasolineto fuel tank. Use a funnel to prevent
spillage.Fill tank to "Fuel Level Mark" (Figure 6).

• Align the clip directly abovethe hole inthe baseand
attach it to the lower accessory tray flange (Figure5).
Slide the chemicalhose through the metal clip so that it
istight but not kinked.

• Install fuel capand wipe up any spilled gasoline.

Connect Hose and Water Supply to

Pump

IMPORTANT: You must attach all hoses before you start

the engine.Starting enginewithout all hoses connected and
water supplied will damagethe pump.

NOTE: Your pressure washercomes with a quick connect
that you can use to attach the high pressure hose to either
the pump or spraygun.

• Uncoil the high pressure hose and attach the female

quick connect to one end of the hose. Attach the male
quick connect to the high pressurefitting on the pump
(Figure 7).

• Attach the hoseto the base of the spray gun (Figure 8).

Tighten by hand.

• Attach the other end of the high pressure hose to the

high pressure outlet on the pump (Figure 9). Pull down
on the collar of the quick connect, slide onto the pump
and let go of collar. Pull on hose to be sure of a tight

connection.

• Beforeyou connect your garden hose to the water inlet,

inspect the inlet screen (Figure 10). Clean the screen if it
contains debris, replace it if it is damaged.DO NOT RUN
THE PRESSUREWASHER IFTHE SCREENISDAMAGED.

• Run water through your garden hose for 30 seconds to
cleanout any debris. Turn off water.

• Connect the garden hose to the water inlet. Tighten by
hand (Figure 10).

_ ARNING! There MUST be at least ten feet of

unrestricted garden hose between the pressure
washer inlet and any flow shut off device, such as a
'Y' shut-off connector or other convenience-type
water shut-off valve. Damage to pressure washer
resulting from disregarding this warning will not be
covered by the warranty.

• Turn ON the water and squeeze the trigger on the spray

gun to purge the pump system of air and impurities.

_ CAUTION! Before starting the pressure washer,

be sure you are wearing adequateeye protection.

Checklist Before Starting Engine

Review the unit's assemblyto confirm you have performed
all of the following:

• Makesure the handle isin place and secure.

• Check that oil hasbeen added to the proper level in the
engine crankcase.

• Add the proper gasolineto fuel tank.

• Check for properly tightened hose connections.

• Check to make sure that there are no kinks, cuts, or
damageto the high pressure hose.

• Provide a proper water supply (not to exceed 140°F) at
an adequate flow.

• Besure to read "Safety Rules" and "How To UseYour
PressureWasher" before usingthe pressure washer.

HOW TO USE YOUR

PRESSURE WASH ER

If you have any problems operating your pressure washer,

pleasecall the pressure washer helpline at

1-800-270-1408.

To Start Your Pressure Washer

To start your pressure washer for the first time, follow
these instructionsstep-by-step. This starting information

also applies ifyou havelet the pressure washer sit idlefor
at least a day.

• Placethe pressure washer in anarea close enough to an
outside water source capableof supplying water at a flow

rate greater than 2.4gallons per minute.

• Check that the high pressure hose is tightly connected to
the spraygun and to the pump. See"Preparing Pressure
Washer For Use" for illustrations.

• Make sure unit isin a level position.

• Connect the garden hose to the water inleton the
pressure washer pump. Turn ON the water.

_ AUTION! Do Not run the pump without the

water supply connected and turned on. You must
follow this caution or the pump will be damaged.

• Squeezetrigger on gun until you haveasteady stream of
water. This purges the pump of air and impurities.

• Attach nozzle extension to spray gun(Figure I I). Tighten
by hand.

• Position the nozzle in the tow pressure mode (slide
nozzle forward) and squeezethe trigger on the spray gun

to relieve pressure causedby turning ON the water.
Water will flow out of the gun in a thin stream. Continue

to hold trigger until there is a steadystream of water
and no air remains in the system. Releasethe trigger.

• Engagethe safety latch to the spray guntrigger
(Figure 12).

• Move the choke lever to the "Closed" position
(Figure 13).

NOTE: For a warm engine, be sure the choke lever is in
the "Open" position.

• Move the throttle lever to the "Fast" position, shown
on the engine as a rabbit (Figure 13). Controls are shown

in the desired operating condition.

• Place your left foot on the lower frame and grasp the
handle as shown (Figure 14). Your unit may appear
slightly different from that shown here.

• Pull the starter grip handle lightly with your right hand
until you feel some resistance, then pull briskly.

• Return the starter grip handle slowly. Do Not let rope
"snap back" againststarter.

• When engine starts, slowly move choke lever to the
"Open" position. If engine falters, move choke lever to
the "Closed" position, then to the "Open" position.

• If engine failsto start after six pulls, move choke lever to
the "Open" position. If engine fires, but does not
continue to run, move choke lever to the "Closed"

position, then to the "Open" position.

NOTE: If the recoil starter ishard to pull,it maybe necessary
to squeezethe gun trigger to relieveinternalpump pressure.

How to Stop Your Pressure Washer

• Move throttle lever on engine to "Stop" position.

• Rotate the fuel valve lever to the "Off" position.

• Squeeze trigger on the spray gun to relieve

pressure in the hose.

NOTE: A small amount of water will squirt out when you

releasethe pressure.

How to Use Accessory Tray

The unit isequipped with an accessory tray with placesto
store your nozzle extension, and slots to hold the cleaning

solution bottle and the detergent siphoning filter. There are
alsotwo hooks on the handle to hold your spraygun and

high pressure hose.
NOTE: The extra holes in the tray are for storing a brush

and a turbo wand. The brush and turbo wand are NOT
included with your pressure washer.You canbuy these

itemsasoptionalaccessories.

• Placethe nozzle extension through the hole on the
accessorytray as shown in Figure 15.

• Hang your chemical solution bottle on the "J"hook and
place the detergent siphoning filter in the last slot on the
left (Figure 15).

• Hang the high pressure hose on the hook attached to
the handle on the right side of the unit (Figure 15).

• Placethe spraygun on the hook attached to the handle
on the left side of the unitas shown on page4.

How to Use the Adjustable Nozzle

You now should know how to START your pressure
washer and how to STOP it. The informationin this

section witl tell you how to adjust the spraypattern and
apply detergent or other cleaning chemicals.

_ DANGER! Never adjust spray pattern when

spraying.Never put hands in front of nozzle to
adjust spray pattern.

The adjustable nozzle affixed to the nozzle extension
permits you to adjustthe spray pattern and the spray
pressure, asfollows:

• Slidethe nozzle forward to adjust the spray to low
pressure mode (Figure 16).Slidethe nozzle backward to

achieve high pressure.

• Point the nozzle down towards a firm surface and press
the trigger to test the pattern (Figure 17).

• Twisting the nozzle adjuststhe spray pattern from a
narrow pattern to a fan pattern (Figure 18).

• For most effective cleaning, keepthe spray nozzle
between 8 to 24 inchesaway from cleaningsurface.

• If you get the spraynozzle too close, especiallyusing high
pressure mode, you maydamage the surface being

cleaned.

• Do Not get closer than 8 incheswhen cleaningtires.

Applying Detergent with the

Adjustable Nozzle

A WARNING! You must attach all hoses before

you start the engine.Starting the engine without all
the hoses connected and without the water turned

ON will damagethe pump.

IMPORTANT: Use soaps designed specifically for
pressure washers. Household detergents could damage

the pump.

To apply detergent, follow these steps:

• Reviewthe useof adjustable nozzles.

• Preparedetergent solution asrequired by the
manufacturer.

• Hangthe detergent solution on the "J" hook attached to

the accessory tray, asshown in Figure 19.

• Placethe small filter end of the detergent siphoning tube
intothe detergent container.

A AUTION! Keep the detergent siphoning tube

from coming in contact with the hot muffler.

• Slide the adjustable nozzle forward to low pressure
mode. Detergent cannot be applied with the nozzle in
high pressure position.

• Makesure the garden hose is connected to the water
inlet.Check that the high pressure hose isconnected to

the spray gun and the pump. Start the engine.

• Apply the detergent to a dry surface, starting at lower
portion of area to be washed and work upward, using
long, even, overlapping strokes. Do Not allow the

detergent to dry on (prevents streaking).

• Allow the detergent to "soak in" for 3-5 minutes before

washing and rinsing. Reapplyasneeded to prevent
surface from drying.

IMPORTANT: You must flush the chemicalinjection

system after each use by placing the filter into a clean

bucket of water and running the pressure washer in low
pressure for I-2 minutes.

Pressure Washer Rinsing

_ ARNING! Be extremely careful ifyou must

use the pressure washer from a ladder,scaffolding
or anyother relatively unstable location. Pressure in

a running washer builds as you climb. When you
press the trigger, the recoil from the inltiat spray

could causeyou to fall. The high pressure spray
could alsocauseyou to fall ifyou are too close to

the cleaningsurface.

For Rinsing:

• Slide the nozzle backward to high pressure, press the

trigger and wait for the detergent to clear.

NOTE: You can also stop detergent from flowing by

simply removing detergent siphon tube from bottle.

• Keepthe spray gun a safedistance from the area you
plan to spray.

• Apply a high pressure spray to a smallarea,then check
the surface for damage. If no damageisfound, it isokay
to continue cleaning.

• Start at the top of the area to be rinsed, working down
with same overlapping strokes asyou usedfor cleaning.

Automatic Cool Down System

(Thermal Relief)

If you run the engine on your pressure washer for
3-5 minutes without pressingthe trigger on the spray gun,

circulating water in the pump can reach a temperature

between 140-145°E When the water reachesthis

temperature, the automatic coot down system engagesand
cools the pump by discharging the warm water onto
the ground. This system prevents internal damageto the

pump.

GENERAL MAINTENANCE

RECOMMENDATIONS

The pressure washer warranty does not cover items that

have been subjected to operator abuse or negligence. To

receive full value from the warranty, the operator must

maintain the high pressure washer as instructed in this
manual.

• Some adjustments will need to be made periodically to
properly maintain your high pressure washer.

• All maintenance in this manualand the engine owner's
manual should be made at least once eachseason.

• Once a year you should clean or replace the spark plug,
clean or replacethe air filter and check the spraygun
and adjustable nozzle extension assemblyfor wear. A
new spark plug and clean air filter assure proper fuel-air
mixture and help your engine run better and last longer.

Pleaserefer to your engine owner's manual for more

details.

BEFORE EACH USE

Check engineoil level.

Check water inlet screen for damage.
Check in-line filter for damage.

Check high pressure hose for leaks.
Check detergent siphoning tube and filter for damage.

Check spraygun and adjustable nozzle extension
assemblyfor leaks.

• Rinseout garden hose to flush out debris before

connecting to pressure washer.

PRESSURE WASH ER

MAINTENANCE

Check and Clean Inlet Screen

Examinethe screen on the water inlet.Clean it if the

screen is clogged or replace it if screen is damaged.

Check High Pressure Hose

The high pressure hose can develop leaksfrom wear,

kinking, or abuse.Inspect the hose eachtime before using
it. Check for cuts, leaks,abrasions or bulging of cover,
damageor movement of couplings. If anyof these
conditions exist, replacethe hose immediately.

_i WARNING! Water sprayingfrom a leak is

capableof injectingmaterial intoskin. Inspect hose
each time before using it. Never repair a high

pressure hose. Replace it with another hose that

exceeds the maximum pressure rating of your

pressure washer.

Check Detergent Siphoning Tube

Examine the filter on the detergent tube and clean if
clogged. The tube should fit tightly on the barbed fitting.
Examine the tube for leaks or tears. Replacethe filter or
tube if either is damaged.

Cleaning Detergent Siphoning Tube

If you usedthe detergent siphoning tube, you must flush it

with clean water before stopping the engine.

• Placethe chemical injection slphon/filter in a bucket full

of dean water.

• Attach the black low pressure nozzle.

• Flushfor I-2 minutes.

• Shut off the engine.
IMPORTANT: Simplyshutting OFF engine will not

release pressure in the system.When the engine has

shut down, squeeze the trigger on the spray gun to
relieve the pressure in the hose.

Check Gun and Adjustable Nozzle

Extension

Examine the hose connection to the spray gun and make
sure it issecure. Testthe trigger by pressing it and making
sure it "springs back" into place when you releaseit. Put
the safety latch in the ON position and test the trigger. You
should not be ableto pressthe trigger.

Nozzle Extension

O-rin

Detach spray gun and nozzle extension from high

pressure hose. Detach nozzle extension from spray
gun and remove o-ring and screen from nozzle

extension. Flushthe screen, spraygun, and adjustable
nozzle extension with cleanwater to clear debris.

ifthe screen is damaged,the o-ring kit contains a
replacement in-llne filter screen and an o-ring. If

undamaged,reuse screen.

Placethe in-line filter screen intothe threaded end of

the nozzle extension. Direction does not matter. Push
the screen inwith the eraser end of apencil until it

rests fiat at the bottom of the opening. Takecare to

not bend the screen.

4. Placethe o-ring into the recess. Pushthe o-ring snugly

againstthe in-linefilter screen.

5. Assemble the nozzle extension to the spraygun, as

described earlier in this manual.

Purge Pump of Air and

Contaminants

To remove air from the pump, follow these steps:

• Set up the pressure washerasdescribed in "Preparing

PressureWasher For Use". Connect the water supply

and turn water on.

• Putlthe trigger on the spray gun and hold.

• When the water supply is steady and constant, engage
the safety latch.

To remove contaminants from the pump, follow
these steps:

• Set upthe pressure washer as described in "Preparing
Pressure Washer For Use". Connect the water supply

and turn water on.

• Start the engine according to instructionsin "To Start
Your Pressure Washer".

• remove nozzle extension from spray gun.

• Squeezethe trigger on the spray gunand hold.

• When the water supply is steady and constant, engage
the safety latch and attach the nozzle extension.

Nozzle Maintenance

if the adjustable nozzle becomes restricted or clogged with

foreign materials, such asdirt, excessivepump pressure
may develop. A pulsing sensation occurs during use.This
generally isnot a pump related problem, but rather a
cloggedor partially restricted nozzle.

If the adjustable nozzle becomes clogged or partially
restricted, immediately clean the nozzle with the kit
included with your pressure washer by following these

instructions:

• Shutoffthe engineand turn off the water supply.

• Separatethe nozzle extensionfrom the spraygun.

• Adjust the nozzle extension to the stream position.

• Remove the nozzle from the end of the nozzle extension
(Figure 21) using a 2mm or 5/64 allen wrench (like the

one included in the kit).

• Removeadditionaldebrisbybackflushingwaterthrough

flushing.

Reinstallthenozzleinto the nozzle extension. Do Not

overtighten.

• Reconnect the water supply,turn on the water, and start
the engine.

• Reconnect the nozzleextension to the spray gun.

• Test the pressure washer by operating with nozzle inthe
high and in the low positions.

O-Ring Maintenance

Through the normal operation of your pressure washer,
o-rings, which keep the connections of the hoses andspray

gun tight and leak-free, may become worn or damaged.

Provided with your pressure washer is an O-Ring
MaintenanceKit which includes replacement o+rings,

rubber washer and water inlet filter. Refer to the

instruction sheet provided in the kit to service your unit's
o-rings. Note that not all of the parts in the kit will be used

on your unit.

To remove a worn or damaged o-ring:

• Use a small flathead screwdriver to get underneath the
o-ring and pry it off.

ENGINE MAINTENANCE

See the engine owner's manual for instructions on how to
properly maintain the engine.

PREPARING THE UNIT

FOR STORAGE

Water should not remain in the unit for long periods of
time. Sediments or minerals can deposit on pump parts and
"freeze" pump action. If you do not plan to usethe
pressure washer for more than 30 days,follow this

procedure:

I. Flush detergent siphoning tube by placingthe filter into

a pail of clean water while running pressure washer in
low pressure mode (adjustablenozzle in the forward
position). Flushfor one to two minutes.

2. Shut off the engineand let it cool, then remove all

hoses.Disconnect spark plugwire from spark plug.

3. Empty the pump of all pumped liquids by pulling the

recoil handle about 6 times. This should remove most
of the liquid in the pump.

NOTE: To protect the unit from freezingtemperatures,
draw RVantifreeze (non-alcohol) into the pump by pouring
the solution into a 3-foot section of garden hose connected
to inlet adapter and pulling recoil handle twice.

4. Store unit in a clean,dry area.

properly prepare the engine for storage.

Opere el motor 6nicamente a la velocidad de mando. Hacer

funcionar el motor a velocidades excesivasaumenta el riesgo
de lesiones personales. No juegue con partes que puedan
aumentar o disminuir la velocidad de mando.

No use ropa suelta, joyas o elementos que puedanquedar

atrapados en el arranque o en otras partes rotatorias.
Antes de poner en marcha la m_quina lavadora a presi6n en

clima frio, revise todas las partes del equipo y aseg6resede
que no sehaya formado hielo sobre elias.

Nunca utilice una pistola de rociado que no tenga un seguro
paragatillo o protecci6n para gatillo en sulugar yen buenas

condiciones.

Mantengaconectada la manguera a la m_quinao a la pistola de
rociado cuando el sistema est_ presurizado. Espeligroso

desconectar la manguera cuando la unidad est_ presurizada.

Nunca deber_n ser operadas las unidades con partes rotas o

ausentes,o sin la caja o cubiertas de protecci6n.

Reviseque el sistemade combustible no presente fugas o
signos de deterioro, como mangueras desgastadaso porosas,
sujetadores flojos o ausentes,tapa o tanque dahados. Corrija

todos los defectos antes de operar la m_quina lavadora a

presi6n.

No rocie llquidos inflamables.

Utilice un respirador o m_scarasiempre que exista la

posibilidad de inhalar vapores. Leatodas las instrucciones de

Nunca permita que partes del cuerpo entren en contacto

peque_asde pintura u otras particulas salgandisparadasy
viajen a altas velocidades.

No opere la m_quina lavadora a presibn con un valor de

presibn superior a su clasificacibn de presibn.

Nunca mueva lam_quina halando la manguera de alta

presibn. Utilice la manija que viene con la unidad.

Siempre asegOresede que la pistola de rociado, boquillas y
accesorios est_n conectados correctamente.

No asegure la pistola de rociado en la posicibn (open =
abierto).

El rociado de alta presi6n puededa_ar elementos fr_giles,
incluyendo el vidrio. No apunte la pistola de rociado al vidrio

cuando est_ en el modo de rociado achorro.
Sostengafirmemente en su mano la manguera de rociado

antes de poner en marcha la unidad. De no hacerlo, podrian
ocurrir lesiones por el movimiento brusco de la pistola de

rociado. No abandone la pistola de rociado cuando la
mgquina est_ en funcionamiento.

El silenciador y el motor se calientan durante el
funcionamiento y permanecen calientes inmediatamente
despu_s del apagado. Evite el contacto con silenciadores o

motores calientes, o podrta quemarse severamente.
Opere y almacene estaunidad sobre una superficie estable.
La manguera de alta presibn puede desarrollar fugas debido al

desgaste,dobleces, abuso, etc. El agua que sale de una fugaes
capazde inyectar materiales en la pieLlnspeccione la
manguera siempre que lavayaa usar. Revisetodas las

mangueras para ver si presentan cortes, fugas, abrasiones o
deformacibn de la cubierta, daho o movimiento de

acoplamientos. Siexiste cualquiera de estas condiciones,
remplace la manguera inmediata-mente.Nunca repare la
manguera de alta presibn. Remplacelacon una manguera que
tenga la misma capacidadde presibn m_xima de su unidad.

El silenciador y el depurador de aire deber_n estar instalados
yen buenas condiciones antes de operar la m_quina lavadora
a presi6n. Estos componentes act_an como apagachispassi el
motor presenta contrafuegos.

Enel estado de California es obligatorio, segOnla ley,el uso de
apagachispas(Seccibn 4442 del Cbdigo de Recursos POblicosde

California). Otros estados pueden tener leyessimilares. Lasleyes
federales se aplican en tierras federales.

NOTA: Si equipa el silenciador con un apagachispas,este deber_
ser mantenido en buenas condiciones de trabajo. Usted puede
ordenar el apagachispasatray,s de su distribuidor de servicio

PREPARANDO EL

LAVADOR A ALTA
PRESION PARA SU USO

Si usted tiene un problemaal ensamblar la unidad o si hacen falta
algunaspiezaso se encuentran dahadas,Ilamea la linea directa del

lavador a alta presi6n, al 1-800-270-1408.
A prepara su arandela de la presi6n para la operaci6n,

usted necesitarg a realiza estas tareas:

Llene y mande en la tarjeta de matricula.
Conecte la manecillaa la unidad principal.

ASada aceite al motor.
ASadagasolinaal tanque de combustible.

Conecte la manguera aalta presi6n a la pistola rociadora y a
la bomba.

Conecte el suministro de aguaa la bomba.

Fijar el Manubrio

NOTA: Todas las operaciones de ensambleproporcionadasen

esta secci6n, ser_n descritas desde la perspectiva del ensamblaje
de la lavadora a presi6n desdesu parte posterior.

Coloque el manubrio sobre los soportes del mismo que ya
est_n adheridos a la unidad principal. Aseg6rese de que los

orificios en el manubrio est_n alineados con los orificios en
los soportes del mismo manubrio (Figura 23).

Inserte el perno del soporte a tray,s de los orificios desde

fuera de launidad y sujete una perilla de pl_stico desde el

interior de la misma unidad. Apriete manualmente (Figura 24).

Inserte el gancho "J" en la segundaranura a la izquierda en el

charola accesoria (Figura 25).

Pellizquela mangaquimica que salede un hoyo en el baseand

de la unidad Io desliza en el clip de metal como mostrado en

la Figura 26.

Alinee el clip directamente encima del hoyo en labase y Io
conecta al flange accesorio m_s baio de la charola (Figura 27).

Deslice la mangaqulmica por el clip de metal para que no sea

apretado pero kinked.

Agregar Aceite al Motor

IMPORTANTE: Cualquier intento para arancar el motor antes
de haberle proporcionado el mantenimiento apropiado con el

aceite recomendado, podria ocasionar lafalla del motor.

Coloque la lavadora a presi6n sobre una superficie nivelada.
Consulte el manual del propietario del motor para a_adir al

motor el aceite recomendado.

NOTA: Verifique el aceite del motor de manera frecuente
cuando _ste seesfuerce demasiado. Consulte el manual del

propietario del motor para conocer cu_,lesson las
recomendaciones al respecto.

A ada gasolina

_ PELIGRO! Nunca Ileneel tanque de combustible en

recintos cerrados. Nunca Ilene el tanque de combustible
cuando el motor est_ funcionando o est_ caliente. No

fume cuandoest_ Ilenando el tanque de combustible.

,_ iADVERTENCIA! Nunca Ilenepor completo el

tanque de combustible. Deie espacio para la expansi6ndel
combustible.Limpie cualquierderrame de combustibledel
motor y del equipo antes de darle arranque a la unidad.

Use combustible limpio y almac_nelo en recipientes cubiertos,
limpios y aprobados. Utilice embudos limpios. Nunca utilice

gasolina"vieja" deiada de la estacibn anterior o gasolina
almacenadapor periodos de tiempo prolongados.

Limpie el _,reaalrededor de la tapa de Ilenado del
combustible, retire la tapa.

Agregue lentamente gasolinaal tanque de combustible. Use un
embudo para evitar que se derrame. Llene el tanque hastala

"Marca de Nivel del Combustible" como se muestra a
continuacibn (Figura 28).

Conecte la Manguera y el Suministro

de Agua a la Bomba

IMPORTANTE: Usted deber_ armar laextensi6n para boquillas

y conectar todas las manguerasantes de darle arranque al motor.
La bomba resultar_ dafiada si arranca el motor sin tener todas las

mangueras conectadas y el suministro aguaabierto.

NOTA: Suarandela de la presibn viene con un r_pido conecta
que usted est_ acostumbrado a conecta la mangaalta de la
presibn a o el fusil de la bomba o el rodo.

Uncoil la mangaalta de la presibn y conecta el r_pido conecta

a un fin de la manga.Conecte el hembra r_pido conecta a

masculino la presibn alta que quedan en la bomba (Figura 29).

Conecte lamanguera a la basede la pistola de rociado
(Figura30). Apriete con la mano.

Conecte el otro extremo de la manguera aalta presibn, a la

salida de alta presibn de la bomba (Figura 31). Hale el collar
de la conexi6n r_pida, deslicelo en la bombay suelte el collar.

Hale la manguera para asegurarseque esta bien conectada.

Antes de que conecte la manguera de jardin a la entrada de
agua, inspeccione el colador de la entrada (Figura 32). Limpie

el colador si tiene residuos o solicite su remplazo si est_
daSado. No haga funcionar la m_quina lavadora a presi6n si el
colador de la entrada est_ daSado.

Haga correr el agua a tray,s de la manguera de su iardin por
30 segundos para limpiar cualquier escombro que se

encuentre en ella. Desconecte el agua.

Conecte la manguera de jardln a la entrada del agua.Apriete
con la mano (Figura 32).

C6mo Darle Arranque a su M quina

Lavadora a Presi6n

Para darle arranque a su m_quina lavadoraa presi6n movida a
motor pot primera vez, sigaestas instruccionespasoa paso.Esta

informaci6nacerca del arranque inicialtambi_n se aplica cuando
vayaa darle arranque al motor despu_sde haber dejado de la
m_quina lavadora a presi6nfuera de uso por al menos un dfa.

Coloque lamgquinalavadoraa presi6nen un _reacercanaa una

suministro de aguaexterior capazdeabasteceraguaa un volumen

mayor de 2.4galonespor minuto.

Reviseque lamanguera de alta presi6n se encuentre
conectada firmemente a lapistola de rociado y a la bomba.
Vea "PreparandoEl Lavador A Alta Presi6n ParaSu Uso".

Aseg_rese que la unidad est_ nivelada.

Conecte lamanguera de jardfn a laentrada del agua.Aprietela
con la mano. Abra el suministro de agua.

_ iPRECAUCI_N! No hagafuncionar labombasi no

tiene el suministro conectado y abierto. Deber_ cumplir con

estaprecauci6n, deotra forma la bomba resultarg dahada.

Apriete firmementeel gatillo de lapistolapara purgar de aire
e impurezasel sistema de bombeo.

Conecte laextensi6n de la lanzaa la pistola rociadora.
Apri_tela con las manos (Figura 33).

Apriete el gatillo en la pistola rociadora (aseg6resedeque la

lanzase encuentra en el modo de bajapresi6n) para
deshacerse de la presi6n delaire causadaal prender el agua.

El aguase descargarade la pistola del sprayen un chorro muy

Delgado. Aguante el gatillo hasta que un chorro continuo de
aguaaparece. Esto har_ que el comienzo del motor se haga

f_cilmente. Suelteel gatillo.

Coloque el pasadorde seguridad al gatillo de la pistola
rociadora (Figura 34).

Coloque su pie izquierdoen el cuadro inferiorde la unidad y
sujete la manija tal y como semuestra (Figura 36). Laapariencia
de la unidad puede ser ligeramente distinta de la mostrada aqui.

Jalela cuerda de arranque lentamente con su mano derecha

hastaque sienta aEgunaresistencia, entonces jale con energia.

Regresela cuerda de arranque lentamente. No permita que la
cuerda regrese bruscamente y golpee el arrancador.

Cuando arranque el motor, mueva lentamente la palancadel
ahogador a la posici6n ("Open"). Si el motor se enciende,

pero no continua funcionando, mueva entonces lapalancaa la

posici6n ("Closed"), y despu_sa laposici6n ("Open").
Si el motor no arranca despu_s de 6 tirones, mueva la palanca

del ahogador a la posici6n ("Closed"), y despu_sa la posici6n

("Open").

NOTA: En casode que resulte dificil jalar el arrancador de

retroceso, quiz_s ser_ necesario apretar con firmeza el disparador
de la pistola para disminuir la presi6n interna de bombeo.

Mueva la palancade la v_lvulade regulaci6n a la posici6n
"Stop" ("Parado").

Apriete el gatillo de la pistola de rociado para

eliminar la presibn de la manguera.

NOTA: Observar_ una peque_a cantidad de aguacuando elimine

la presi6n.

Utilizaci6n de la Charola de

Accesorios

incluyencon su lavadora a presi6n. Puede adquirir dichos articulos
como accesorios opcionales.

Coloque laextensi6n de la boquilla atray,s del orificio en el

charola de accesorios, tal y como se muestra en laFigura 37.

Sostengala botella de su soluci6n limpiadora en el gancho en
forma de "J"y coloque el filtro del detergente en la Oltima

ranura a la izquierda(Figura 37).
Sostengala manguerade alta presi6n sobre el gancho

adherido al manubrio al lado derecho de la unidad (Figura 37).
Coloque la pistola aspersora sobre el gancho adherido al

manubrio al lado izquierdo de launidad, tal y como se
muestra en la p_gina22.

C6mo Usar la Boquilla Ajustable

Usted ya debe saber como darle ARRANQUE a su m_quina
lavadora a presi6n y como DETENERLA. Lainformaci6nde
esta secci6n le dir_ como ajustar el patr6n de rociado y como
aplicar detergente u otros qufmicos de limpieza.

_ PELIGRO! Nunca ajuste el patr6n de rociado cuando

est_ rociando. Nunca coloque lasmanos en frente de la
boquilla para ajustar el patrbn de rociado.

Enel extremo de su pistola de rociado existe una manijaque se
puede mover hacia adelante y haciaatr_s para ajustar el patrbn de

rociado para que seade alta o baja presi6n.

Usted tambi_n puede ajustar el patrbn de rociado girando la
boquilla para que est_ concentrado en un patrbn de chorro o
un patr6n expandido en abanico (Figura 38).

El patrbn de rociado se ajusta de un patrbn angosto a un
patrbn en abanico girando la boquilla (Figura 40).

Gire la boquilla en sentido Gire la boquilla en sentido

Para una limpiezam_s efectiva, mantengala boquilla de

alta presibn.
No coloque laboquilla a menos de 8 pulgadascuando est_

limpiando Ilantas.

Aplicaci6n del Detergente Usando la

Boquilla Ajustable

_IL iADVERTENCIA! Usted deber_ conectar todas lasmanguerasantes de darle arranque al motor. Arrancar el

motor sin tener todas las manguerasconectadas y sin el
suministro de aguaABIERTO (ON) causar_ el da_o de la
bomba.

IMPORTANTE: Utilice quimicos dise_ados
especificamente para m_quinas lavadoras a presi6n. Los

detergentes caseros podrian da_ar la bomba.
Para aplicar el detergente, siga los siguientes pasos:

Reviseel uso de la boquilla ajustable.
Prepare la solucibn detergente siguiendo _asinstrucciones de_

fabricante.
Sostengala solucibn detergente en el gancho ']" adherido al

charola accesoria, tal y como Io muestra la Figura 4L

Coloque el pequeho extremo final del filtro del tubo de
inyeccibn del detergente dentro del contenedor del

detergente.

_IL PRECAUCI_N! Eviteque el tubo de inyeccic')nde

qufmicos entre en contacto con el silenciador caliente.

Mueva la boquilla ajustable hacia adelante para obtener el
modo de baja presibn. El detergente No puede ser aplicado si

tiene la boquilla en la posicibn de alta presibn.

Aseg_rese que Ia manguera de jardfn est_ conectada a la
entrada del agua. Revise que la manguera de alta presibn est_

conectada a la pistola de rociado y a la bomba. Dele arranque
al motor.

Aplique el detergente sobre la superfide seca, comenzando en

_aparte inferior de_ _rea y dirigi_ndose hacia arriba, utilizando
movimientos _argos, pareios y superpuestos. No permita que

el detergente se seque. Si permite que e_ detergente se seque,

_asuperficie podrfa quedar con manchas.
Permita que el detergente "penetre" de 3 a 5 minutos antes

de enjuDgar. Vuelva a aplicarlo cuando sea necesario pard
evitar que Ia supe_cie se seque.

IMPORTANTE: Usted deber_ IDvar el sistema de inyecci6n de
qulmicos despu_s de carla USOcolocando el fiItro en un balde de

Dgua limpid y haciendo funcionar Ia m_quina IDvadorD a presibn de

I a 2 minutos en el modo de baia presi6n.

Enjuage de la M quina Lavadora a

Presi6n

_ ADVERTENCIA! Seaextremadamente cuidadoso si

usala m_quina lavadora a presi6n desde una escalera,

andamio o cualquier superficie relativamente inestable.La

presibn de unamgquinalavadora en funcionamiento se
acumula a medida que usted sube.Cuando oprima el
gatillo, la fuerza de reaccibn del rociado inicial podrla

hacerlo caer.El rociado de la alta presibn podria hacerlo

caer siest_ muy cerca de lasuperflcie de limpieza.

Para Enjuage:

Mueva la boquilla haciaatr_s para obtener el modo de alta
presibn, oprima el gatillo y espere que deie de salir

detergente.

NOTA: Tambi_n puede detener la circulacibn del detergente

retirando el tubo de succibn del recipiente.

Mantenga la pistola de rociado a una distancia segurDdel grea
que planea rociar.

Aplique un rociado de alta presibn en un grea pequeha,
despu_s revise si la superficie presenta dahos. Si no encuentra

dafios, puede continuar con el trabajo de limpieza.
Comience en la parte superior del grea queva a enjuagar,

dirigi_ndose haciaabajo con los mismos movimientos
superpuestos que utiliz6 para el limpieza.

Sistema de Enfriamiento

Autom tico (Alivio T rmico)

Elaguaque circula dentro de la bomba puede alcanzar

temperaturas entre los 140-145-°Fsihace funcionar el motor de
su m_quinalavadora a presibn de 3 a5 minutos sin oprimir el
gatillo de la pistola de rociado. Cuando el agua alcanzadicha
temperatura, el sistema de enfriamiento autom_tico seactiva y
enfrta la bomba descargando agua ealiente en el piso. Este

RECOMENDACIONES

G EN ERALES

La garantta de la m_quina lavadora a presi6n no cubre los
elementos que bansido sujetos a abuso o negligenciapor parte
del operador. Para hacer v_lida lacobertura total de lagarantia, el
operador deber_ mantener la lavadora de presi6n tal y como se

indica en el manual.

Algunos ajustes tendr_n que hacerse peribdicamente para

mantener adecuadamentesu mgquina lavadora a presi6n.

Todos los servicios y ajustes deber_n hacersepor Io menos

unavez en cadaestacibn.
Una vezal a_o, usted deber_ limpiar o remplazar labujfa y el

filtro de aire. Una bujla nuevay un flltro de aire limpio
garantizan una mezcla de combustible-aire adecuaday le ayuda

a su motor afuncionar mejor y a tener una vida _til m_s

prolongada. Por favor, para mayores detalles, consulte el

MANTENIMIENTO DE LA

Revise y Limpie el Colador de

Entrada

Examineel colador de entrada de la manguera de jardin. Ltmpielo

si est_ tapado o remplacelo si est_ roto.

Revise la Manguera de Alta Presi6n

Las manguerasde alta presi6n pueden desarrollar fugas debido al
desgaste,dobleces o abuso. Revisela manguera antes de cada uso.

Revisesi existen cortes, fugas,abrasiones, levantamiento de la
cubierta, daho o movimiento de los acoplamientos. Si existe
cualquiera de estas condiciones, remplace la manguera

inmediatamente.

_ PELIGRO! Nunca repare la manguerade alta presibn.

Remplacela con una manguera que cumpla con la
capacidadminima de presibn de su m_quina lavadoraa
presibn.

Chequee el Tubo de Sif6n del

Detergente

Examineel flltro en el tubo del detergente y Ifmpielo si se

encuentra sucio. Eltubo deberia quedar apretado en la pieza.
Examine el tubo para ver si existe cualquier tipo de goteo o est_
roto. Reemplaceel filtro o el tubo si alguno de ellos se encuentra

dahado.

Limpiando el Tubo

Siusted us6 el tubo, usted debe lavarlo con agualimpia antes de

parar el motor.

Coloque el filtro y la inyecci6nqufmica en un balde Ileno de
agualimpia.

Deslice boquilla ajustable haciaadelante al modo bajo de la
presi6n.

Lavede I a 2 minutos.
Apague el motor.

IMPORTANTE: Apagando el motor, simplemente no soltar_ la
presibn en el sistema. Cuando el motor se ha apagado,

apriete el gatillo en la pistola rociadora para deshacerse
de la presi6n en la manguera_

Revise la Pistola y la Extensi6n para

Boquillas

Examinela conexi6n de la mangueraa la pistola y cerciorese de

que est_ en buen estado. Pruebe el gatillo oprimi_ndolo y
asegur_ndosede que se devuelve a su sitio cuando Io suelte.

Coloque el cerrojo de seguridad y pruebe el gatillo. Usted no
debe ser capaz de oprimir el gatillo. Remplace la pistola

inmediatamentesi fallacualquiera de estaspruebas.

Revise el Filtro en Linea

Consulte la Figura 42 y suministre servicio al filtro en linea si se
tapa siguiendo estos pasos:

I. Retire lapistola y la extensi6n para boquillas de lamanguera

de alta presi6n. Retire la extensi6n para boquillas de la
pistola y retire el anillo 'o' y el colador de la extensi6n para
boquillas. Laveel colador, pistola y extensi6n para boquillas
con agua limpiapara eliminar toda clasede residuos.

2. Si el colador est_ dafiado, encontrar_ un colador para el

filtro en llnea y un anillo 'o' de repuesto en el iuego de
anillos 'o'. Si no est_ dafado, vuelva a usarlo.

3. Coloque el colador del filtro en llnea en el extremo con

rosca de la extensi6n para boquillas. Sudirecci6n no
importa. Coloque el colador ejerciendo presi6n con el

borrador de un Igpiz hasta que seasiente por completo en el
fondo de la abertura. Tengacuidado de no doblar el colador.

4. Coloque el anillo 'o' en la ranura respectiva. Empuie el anillo

'o' hastaque quedeajustado contra el colador del filtro en
llnea.

Elimine el Aire y los Contaminantes

de la Bomba

Para retirar el aire de la bomba, siga los siguientes
pa$o$:

Instalela m_quina lavadora a presi6n como est_ descrito en

"PreparandoEl Lavador A Alta Presi6n Para SuUso".

Conecte el abastecimiento de agua y prenda agua.
Estire el disparador en el fusil del rocio y el asidero.

Cu_ndo el aguaes constante y constante, compromete el
picaporte de la seguridad.

Para retirar los contaminantes de la bomba, siga los
siguientes pasos:

Instalela m_quina lavadora a presi6n como est_ descrito en

"PreparandoEl Lavador A Alta Presi6n Para SuUso".

Conecte el abastecimiento de agua y prenda agua.
Pongaen marcha el motor de acuerdo alas instrucciones de

"C6mo Darle Arranque a su M_quina Lavadora a Presi6n".

Quite boquilla la extensi6n del fusil del rocto.
Hale el gatillo de lapistola y mant_ngalo apretado.

Cuando el suministro de aguasea uniforme y constante,
enganche el cerrojo de seguridad y vuelva aajustar la
extensi6n para boquillas.

Mantenimiento de las Boquillas

Si la boquilla se obstruye o tapa con materiales extrafios, como
suciedad, se puede presentar presi6n excesiva de la bomba. Una

boquilla parcialmente tapadapuede causar una sensaci6n puls3til
durante el uso. Esto generalmente No es un problema

relacionado con la bomba, es m_s que todo una boquilla tapada o
parcialmente obstruida.

Si la boquilla se tapa u obstruye parcialmente, limpiela
inmediatamente con el iuego incluido en su m_quinalavadora a
presi6n siguiendo estasinstrucciones:

Apague el motor y cierre el suministro de agua.
Separela extensi6n para boquillas de la pistola.

Girela a la posici6n de chorro.
Retire la boquilla del extremo de la extensi6n para boquillas

usando una Ilaveallen de 2 mm o 5/64 (Figura 43).

Use el alambre incluidoen el juego (Figura 43) o un clip de
papel peque6o para liberar los materiales extrafos que est_n
tapando u obstruyendo la boquilla.

Retire la suciedad adicional inyectando el suministro de agua
en sentido contrario a tray,s de la extensi6n para boquillas
(Figura44). Lavede esta forma de 30 a 60 segundos.Gire la
extensi6n para boquillas hasta obtener un rociado en chorro y
mueva la boquilla de presi6n baja aalta mientras hace el

lavado.

Vuelvaa instalar la boquilla en la extensi6n para boquillas. No

la apriete demasiado.
Vuelva aconectar el suministro de agua,ABRA el suministro

aguay ponga el motor en funcionamiento.
Vuelvaa conectar la extensi6n para boquillasa la pistola de

rociado.

Pruebe la mgquina lavadoraa presi6n haci_ndola funcionar
con la boquilla en las posiciones de alta y baja presi6n.

Mantenimiento de los Anillos 'O'

Durante la operaci6n normal de su m_quina lavadora a presi6n
los anillos 'o' mantienen apretadas y libres de fugas las conexiones
de las mangueras y la pistola, ellos pueden desgastarse o daharse

con el uso.
Su m_quina lavadora a presi6n viene con un Juego de

Mantenimiento para anillos 'O', el cual contiene anillos 'o',
arandela de caucho y un colador de repuesto para la entrada de la

manguera de jardJn. La nora que no todas las partes en el juego se
usar_n en su unidad.

Para retirar un anUlo 'O' desgastado o da_ado:

Utilice un destornillador de cabeza plana peque5o, col6quelo

por debajo del anillo 'o' y sgquelo haciendo palanca.

Consulte el manual del propietario del motor para las
instrucciones de c6mo mantener adecuadamente el motor.

repetido de piel con aceite usado de motor. El aceite

PREPARANDO LA

UNIDAD PARA SU

ALMACENAMIENTO

El agua no debe permanecer en la unidad por un largo periodo de

tiempo. Los sedimentos o minerales se pueden depositar en las
piezas de la bombay "congelar" la acci6n de la bomba. Si usted no
piensa usar el lawdor a presi6n por mas de 30 dias, siga este
procedimiento:

I. Vacie el tubo de detergente, colocando el filtro en un envase

lleno de agua limpia mientras est_ corriendo el agua a baja
presi6n (la lanza ajustable en la posici6n hacia adelante). Lave
por I o 2 minutos.

2. Apague el motor y d_ielo enfriar, luego quite todas las
mangueras. Desconecte el alambre de la bujia.

3. Vacie todos los liquidos presentes en la bomba, halando la
manecilla de retroceso hasta seis veces. Esto deberia

remover la mayor parte de los liquidos presentes en la
bomba.

NOTA: Para evitar que la unidad se congele, ponga
anticongelante RV (que no contenga alcohol) en la bomba, en una
secci6n de 3 pies de la manguera del jardin conectada a un
adaptador y halando la manecilla dos veces.

4. Almacene la unidad en un lugar limpio y seco.
