The SpectroLED Essential 360 Bi-Color LED and 360
Daylight LED lights have a sturdy, high-quality housing

INTRODUCTION

that’s designed for use in the studio or on location. It
produces bright, consistent light powered by DC power or
a Sony V-Mount battery.

The panels each contain 360 individual LEDs in two variations: Daylight and Bi-Color.
The Daylight version generates a 5600°K daylight-balanced light. The Bi-Color version
has a variable color temperature that allows you to choose a color temperature from
3200°K to 5600°K. A built-in dimmer allows you to change the light output from 100%
to 0%. Additionally, a removable diffusion filter is included to help soften and spread
the light.

LED lights produce very little heat, so the SpectroLED can be used for extended
periods without overheating.

The Essential LED-series lights are excellent lightweight fixtures that provide a high­powered lighting solution for in-studio or on-location illumination.

MOUNTING THE
SpectroLED
ESSENTIAL LIGHTS

· The SpectroLED Essential LED

INSTRUCTIONS

lights come with a pre-installed
yoke, allowing you to easily balance
and adjust the tilt of the light. The
yoke can be mounted horizontally or
vertically on a light stand, allowing
the user to position the device in a
way that the yoke doesn’t block the
light.

· The yoke has a standard 5/8˝ mount
to fit most light stands. Additionally,
there are ¼˝-20 sockets on the top
and bottom of the lights, allowing for
fully-customizable light mounting.

· To remove the yoke, unscrew the

two adjustment knobs from the
sides.

· The Essential-series LED lights

are also equipped with stacking
mounts, allowing you to connect up
to two units, creating a vast array of
additional lighting options. To stack
your units, slide the stacking clips
into the stacking mounts on one of
the devices. Then slide the second
light to the first unit’s stacking clips.
Repeat these steps to mount a third
light.

POWERING THE
LIGHTS

· The SpectroLED Essential LED

lights come with an included AC/
DC cable, allowing for a nearly
limitless power supply from a
standard electrical outlet. To power
your light, plug the AC/DC adapter
into a power outlet, and the other
end into your device’s DC input port
on the back of the unit. Move the
power switch from the Off position
(o) to the DC On position (–).

· Additionally, the Essential-series

light units can be powered with
Sony V-Mount batteries, allowing
you to avoid cable clutter or work in

a location without electrical outlets.
When using battery power, move
the power switch to the Battery On
(=) position.

The lights can also
be powered using
the Genaray SP-E­NPBA V-lock to NP-F

ADJUSTING THE
LIGHT OUTPUT

· The SpectroLED Essential LED
lights’ power output is controlled
with the Dimming knob on the back
of the device. Turning the knob
clockwise will raise the power
output, while turning the knob
counterclockwise will dim it.

· The Bi-Color version also includes
a color temperature knob,
allowing you to change the color
temperature from daylight (5600°K)
to tungsten (3200°K). Turning the
knob clockwise will adjust the color
temperature towards daylight, while
turning the knob counterclockwise

will give the lights a warmer,
tungsten light color temperature.

· Additionally, the Essential-series
LED lights come with an offset
diffuser. The diffuser is perfect for
dispersing and softening the light
output, and can be installed to the
light horizontally or vertically for
different diffusion effects.

· To install the diffuser, simply insert
the sides into the mounting notches
on the side of the light panel.

DAISY CHAINING
MULTIPLE LIGHTS

· The Essential-series LED lights
come with two Multi Link Cable
ports. With the use of the optional
SP-E-MLC Multi Link Cable, you
can control the light output of
any compatible lights using the
adjustment dial on the first unit in
the chain.

· For example, you can adjust the
dimming and color temperature of
multiple Essential Bi-Color lights
by adjusting the dials on only the
first unit. The same applies to the
dimming for multiple Essential
Daylight lights.

light cannot adjust the

an Essential Daylight

ONE-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

This GENARAY product is warranted to the original purchaser to be free from defects in materials and
workmanship under normal consumer use for a period of one (1) year from the original purchase date
or thirty (30) days after replacement, whichever occurs later. Genaray’s responsibility with respect to this
limited warranty shall be limited solely to repair or replacement, at Genaray’s discretion, of any product
that fails during normal use of this product in its intended manner and in its intended environment.
Inoperability of the product or part(s) shall be determined by Genaray. If the product has been
discontinued, Genaray reserves the right to replace it with a model of equivalent quality and function.

This warranty does not cover damage or defect caused by misuse, neglect, accident, alteration, abuse,
improper installation or maintenance. EXCEPT AS PROVIDED HEREIN, GENARAY MAKES NEITHER
ANY EXPRESS WARRANTIES NOR ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY
IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. This warranty
provides you with specific legal rights, and you may also have additional rights that vary from state to
state.

To obtain warranty coverage, contact the Genaray Customer Service Department to obtain a return
merchandise authorization (“RMA”) number, and return the defective product to Genaray along with the
RMA number and proof of purchase. Shipment of the defective product is at the purchaser’s own risk
and expense.
