INTRODUCTION:

Congratulations on purchasing a Gemini PDT-6000 High-torque
Direct Drive Digital Turntable. This state of the art turntable includes
the latest features in modern direct drive turntable technology. Prior to
use, we suggest that you carefully read all the instructions.

PRECAUTIONS:

1. Read all operating instructions before using this equipment.

2. The apparatus should not be exposed to dripping or splashing and no
objects filled with liquids such as vases should be placed on the
apparatus.

3. To reduce the risk of electrical shock, do not open the unit. There are

NO USER REPLACEABLE PARTS INSIDE. Please contact the Gemini
Service Department or your authorized dealer to speak to a qualified

service technician.

In the U.S.A., if you have any problems with this unit, call 1-732-738-9003
for customer service. Do not return equipment to your dealer.

4. Tone arm bearings are factory set and sealed. Any attempt at
adjustment will void the warranty.

5. Be sure that all AC power is OFF while making connections.

6. Cables should be low capacitance, shielded and of proper length.
Make sure that all plugs and jacks are tight and properly connected.7.
Always begin with the audio level faders/volume controls set at
minimum and the speaker volume control(s) set to OFF. Wait 8 to 10
seconds prior to turning up the speaker volume to prevent the transient
“POP” that could result in speaker/crossover damage.

8. DO NOT EXPOSE THIS UNIT TO RAIN OR MOISTURE.

9. DO NOT USE ANY SPRA Y CLEANER OR LUBRICANT ON ANY

CONTROLS OR SWITCHES.

ASSEMBLY AND SET-UP:

TURNT ABLE INSTALLATION:

1. Set the TURNT ABLE BASE (1) on a flat, level surface free of vibration.
Try to place the unit as far away from the speakers as possible. Keep
the unit away from direct exposure to the sun, heat, moisture or dirt.
Keep the unit well ventilated. Use the turntable feet to horizontally
stabilize the unit.

2. Make sure that the VOLTAGE SELECTOR SWITCH (3), located on the

TURNTABLE BASE (1 ), is set to the correct voltage.
WARNING: If you try to operate the turntable with the incorrect
voltage setting, it can damage your turntable.

3. After checking to ensure that all packing materials have been removed,
gently place the PLATTER (2) on the center spindle of the TURN
TABLE BASE (1).

4. Put the NEOPRENE MAT (4) on the PLATTER (2).

CARTRIDGE INSTALLATION: (SEE FIG.1)

Because all cartridges have their own designs, please refer to your
particular cartridge’s instructions to insure proper installation.

1. Connect the lead wires to the cartridge terminals. For your
convenience, the terminals of most cartridges are color coded.
Connect each lead wire to the terminal of the same color.

White (L+).............................................Left Channel +

Green (R-).............................................Right Channel -

2. Mount the cartridge in the HEADSHELL (5) and tighten it with the
screws included with the cartridge.

HEADSHELL INST ALLATION:

Insert the HEADSHELL (5) into the front of the tubular TONE ARM (6).
While holding the HEADSHELL (5) firmly in a horizontal position, turn
the LOCKING NUT (7) counter-clockwise until the HEADSHELL (5) is
locked in place.

COUNTERWEIGHT INSTALLATION: (SEE FIG.2)

1. Slide the COUNTERWEIGHT (8) onto the rear of the TONE ARM (6)
with the numbered stylus gauge facing forward.

2. Twist the COUNTERWEIGHT (8) lightly counter clockwise, to screw it
onto the rear of the TONE ARM (6).

ADJUSTING HORIZONTAL ZERO (0)
BALANCE AND STYLUS PRESSURE:

1. Without touching the stylus tip, remove the stylus protector (if your
cartridge has a detachable one).

2. Release the ARM CLAMP (9) and lift the TONE ARM (6) off the ARM
REST (10).

3. Counter-clockwise advancement of the COUNTERWEIGHT (8) will
cause the cartridge side of the TONE ARM (6) to be lowered.
Clockwise will cause the opposite. Turn the COUNTERWEIGHT (8)
clockwise or counter-clockwise as needed until the TONE ARM (6) is
balanced horizontally. You can easily tell this by watching for the point
where the TONE ARM (6) “floats” freely .

4. Place TONE ARM (6) on ARM REST (10) and lock it in place with the
ARM CLAMP (9).

5. With the TONE ARM (6) locked on the ARM REST (10), hold the

COUNTERWEIGHT (8) steady with one hand while rotating the
STYLUS PRESSURE RING (11) until the numeral “0” on the ring aligns
with the center line on the TONE ARM (6) rear shaft. The
horizontal zero (0) balance should be completed.

6. Refloat the TONE ARM (6) to ensure horizontal zero (0) balance. If
zero balance has not been maintained, repeat counterweight steps 3-5.

7. After adjusting the horizontal zero (0) balance, turn the balanced
COUNTERWEIGHT (8) counter-clockwise until the cartridge
manufacturer’s recommended stylus pressure appears on the

STYLUS PRESSURE RING (11) where it meets the center line of the
TONE ARM (6) rear shaft.

ADJUSTING THE ANTI-SKATING CONTROL:

Set the ANTI-SKATING CONTROL (12) to the same value as the
stylus pressure.

ADJUSTING TONE ARM HEIGHT:

The tone arm height is adjustable between 0 and 6 mm. A HEIGHT
SCALE (14) (in 0.5 mm increments) is provided to aid in an accurate

setting.

1. Unlock the tone arm by turning the ARM LOCK KNOB (15) away from
the lock position.

2. Look up the cartridge height on TABLE A and find its corresponding
height scale reading.

3. Turn the ARM HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT RING (13) until the reference
line on the ring is positioned at the correct scale reading.

4. Lock the tone arm by turning the ARM LOCK KNOB (15) clockwise
until it reaches the lock position.

For example, if the height of the cartridge is 18.5 mm, the ARM
HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT RING (13) reference line should be positioned
between 3 and 4 on the HEIGHT SCALE (14).

INSTALLING THE DUSTCOVER:

1. Mount the hinges onto the dustcover.

2. Hold the dustcover in position, directly above the turntable, and slide
the hinge bases into the holders mounted on the rear panel.

3. Always raise the dustcover before removal.

4. Avoid opening and closing the dustcover during play. Undesirable
vibration and stylus skipping can result.

CONNECTIONS:

1. Plug the AC power plug into an appropriate outlet.

2. See TABLE B for proper connection of the output RCA plugs and
ground connector. Make sure that all the plugs are firmly plugged into
the appropriate jacks (phono inputs).

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS:

BASIC OPERATION:

1. Place a record on the NEOPRENE MAT (4) which sits on the
PLA TTER (2).

2. Select the desired speed by depressing the 33 or 45 SPEED
SELECTOR BUTTON (18) . Press both the 33 and 45 SPEED
SELECTOR BUTTONS (18) at the same time for 78 RPM.

3. Turn the POWER SWITCH (16) to the “ON” position, at which point
the strobe illuminator (built into the POWER SWITCH (16) and the
SPEED INDICAT OR (for the selected speed) will illuminate.

4. Remove the stylus protector (if applicable to your cartridge).

5. Release the ARM CLAMP (9) found on the ARM REST (10).

6. Push the START ST OP BUTT ON (17) . The turntable PLATTER (2) will
start to spin.

7. Push the CUE LEVER (19) to the “UP” position.

8. Position the TONE ARM (6) over the desired position on the record and
push the CUE LEVER (19) to the “DOWN” position. The TONE ARM
(6) will slowly lower onto the record at which time play will begin.

9. When play is over, raise the T ONE ARM (6), move it to the ARM REST
(10), and secure it with the ARM CLAMP (9).

10. Y ou now have the option of turning off the power by turning the POWER
SWITCH (16) to the “OFF” position, or stopping the PLA TTER (2) by
pushing the START ST OP BUTT ON (17) and engaging the electronic brake.

INTERRUPTING PLAY: 1.

Pushing the CUE LEVER (19) to the “UP” position will cause the TONE
ARM (6) to lift, stopping play.

2. Pushing the CUE LEVER (19) to the “DOWN” position will cause the
TONE ARM (6) to slowly lower onto the record at the point where play

was interrupted.

PLAYING 45 RPM RECORDS:

1. When playing a 45 RPM record with a large center hole, first place the
45 ADAPTER on the center spindle.

2. Be sure that the 45 SPEED SELECTOR BUTTON (18) is pushed and
the 45 SPEED INDICA TOR is illuminated.

TARGET LIGHT:

1. Push the T ARGET LIGHT SWITCH (21) firmly and the TARGET LIGHT
(22) will raise into position and illuminate the stylus tip.

2. To lower the TARGET LIGHT (22), push down on it until it locks in the
casing.

3. When not being used, the TARGET LIGHT (22) should be kept in the
lowered position.

ADJUSTING THE PITCH & KEY CONTROL:

1. The PDT-6000 is equipped with PITCH CONTROL (23) and QUARTZ
LOCK (25). When the QUARTZ LOCK (25) is activated, the QUARTZ
LOCK LED (24) lights GREEN, and the speed will be exactly 33 1/3,
45 or 78 rpm depending on which speed has been selected

regardless of the position of the pitch control. PITCH CONTROL (23)
automatically disengages when the QUARTZ LOCK (25) is activated.

2. When the QUARTZ LOCK (25) is off, you can adjust the PITCH
CONTROL (23). When you move the PITCH CONTROL (23) off
center, the tempo can vary +/- 4%, +/- 8%, +/- 16% or +/- 35%,
depending on which RANGE BUTTON (31) you select. These are
lighted buttons and will light up when pressed.

* Note: If your speed is 33 1/3 rpm and you adjust the tempo to

+35% your speed will be exactly 45 rpm. Conversely, if your
speed is 45 rpm and you adjust the tempo to -35% your speed
will be exactly 33 1/3 rpm.

3. By adjusting the KEY CONTROL (32) you can raise or lower the key of
the music. The key can vary +/- 4%, +/- 8%, +/- 16% or +/- 35%,
depending on which RANGE BUTTON (31) you select.

4. Push the QUARTZ LOCK BUTTON (25) to bring the speed back to
exactly 33 1/3, 45 or 78 RPM when the PITCH CONTROL (23) is
positioned off center. Disengaging the QUARTZ LOCK (25) will bring
the platter speed back to the original setting.

5. When you press the MASTER TEMPO BUTTON (33) you will be able
to adjust the tempo of the record using the PITCH CONTROL (23).
The KEY CONTROL (32) will be de-activated. The key of the music
will be automatically adjusted to remain in the original key of the record,
as you vary the tempo. The MASTER TEMPO LED (35) will light when
the MASTER TEMPO BUTTON (33) is pressed.

6. The KEY ON BUTTON (34), when pressed allows you to adjust the
PITCH CONTROL (23) and KEY CONTROL (32) independently of each
other. The KEY ON LED (36) will light when the KEY ON BUTTON (34)
is pressed.

* Note: The MASTER TEMPO BUTTON (33), KEY ON BUTTON (34),

PITCH CONTROL (23), and KEY CONTROL (32) can only be used
through the LINE OUTPUT JACKS (40) and DIGIT AL OUTPUT JACK
(42). They cannot be used when the PHONO/LINE SWITCH (41) is set
to PHONO.

7. The PLATTER (2) is equipped with a STROBE RPM INDICATOR STRIP
(26) and the POWER SWITCH (16) contains built in STROBE LIGHTS
(27). When the PLATTER (2) is spinning, the STROBE LIGHTS (27)

illuminate the STROBE RPM INDICA T OR STRIP (26). The bottom row
of dots will appear to be stationary when the pitch is -3.3%. The
second row of dots from the bottom will appear to be stationary when
the speed is exactly 33 1/3, 45 or 78 RPM depending on which SPEED
SELECTOR BUTTONS (18) are pushed. The third row of dots from the
bottom will appear to be stationary when the pitch is +3.3%. The top
row of dots will appear to be stationary when the pitch is +7.2%.

USING THE REVERSE BUTTON:

1. Press the REVERSE BUTTON (29) to reverse the rotation of the
PLATTER (2) (the REVERSE LED (30) will light while in reverse

mode). Press the REVERSE BUTTON (29) a second time to return to
normal play.

DIGITAL DISPLAY:

1. The DIGIT AL DISPLAY (20) indicates PITCH PERCENTAGE & BPM.
The BPM/PITCH BUTTON (37) allows you to select what you would
like displayed, either the PITCH PERCENTAGE or the BPM.

ARM-LIFT HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT:

If the pre-adjusted distance that the CUE LEVER (19) raises the stylus
off the record surface is inadequate, it can be adjusted by turning the
ARM-LIFT HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT SCREW (28) while simultaneously
pushing down on the TONE ARM (6). Clockwise rotation of the screw
will decrease the distance and counter-clockwise rotation will
increase the distance.

BRAKE AND TORQUE CONTROLS:

The adjustable BRAKE BUTTON (38) allows you to vary the speed at
which the PLATTER slows down to a stop. You can adjust the length
of slowing down by turning the BRAKE BUTTON (38) clockwise or
counter-clockwise. You can then press the button in to keep it held in
that position. Press it again and it will pop up, so you can adjust it
again.
The adjustable TORQUE BUTTON (39) allows you to vary the speed at
which the PLATTER speeds up. Y ou can adjust the length of
speeding up by turning the TORQUE BUTTON (39) clockwise or
counter-clockwise. You can then press the button in to keep it held in
that position. Press it again and it will pop up, so you can adjust it
again.

OUTPUT JACKS:

The PHONO/LINE OUTPUT JACKS (40) are RCA type jacks. They can
be assigned as LINE output or PHONO output by using the PHONO/
LINE SWITCH (41). The DIGITAL OUTPUT JACK (42) allows you to
connect the PDT-6000 turntable to a mixer, recorder, etc. that accepts
a digital signal.

HINWEISE ZUR SICHERHEIT:

1. Vor Anwendung dieses Geräts bitten alle Anweisungen sorgfältig
durchlesen.

2. Das Gerät darf keinen Tropfen oder Spritzern ausgesetzt werden, und

4. Die Tonarmlager sind werkseingestellt und abgedichtet. Jegliche
Änderungsversuche machen die Garantie ungültig.

5. Darauf achten, dass beim Anschluss der Netztrom abgeschaltet ist.

6. Nur kapazitätsarme, abgeschirmte Kabel vorschriftsmäßiger Länge
benutzen. Darauf achten, dass alle Stecker und Buchsen fest
angeschraubt und richtig angeschlossen sind.

7. Zu Beginn müssen die Tonpegelüberblender und Lautstärkenregler auf
Mindeststärke eingestellt und der (die) Lautstärkenregler in OFF -
Position geschaltet sein. Bevor Sie die Lautstärke des Lautsprechers
lauter drehen, 8 bis 10 Sekunden warten, um den durch
Einschwingung erzeugten Schroteffekt zu vermeiden, welches zu
Schäden an den Lautsprecher- und Frequenzweichen führen könnte.

8. SETZEN SIE DAS GERÄT NIEMALS REGEN ODER FEUCHTIGKEIT AUS.

9. VERWENDEN SIE KEINE REINIGUNGSSPRA YS ODER

SCHMIERSTOFFE FÜR DIE SCHAL TER UND REGLER.

ZUSAMMENBAU UND ANORDNUNG:

EINBAU DES PLATTENTELLERS:

1. Setzen Sie den PLATTENSPIELERSOCKEL (1) auf eine flache, ebene
Fläche. Versuchen Sie, das Gerät so weit wie möglich von den
Lautsprechern aufzustellen. Das Gerät von direktem Sonnenlicht,
Wärme, Feuchtigkeit oder Schmutz fernhalten. Das Gerät in gut
belüfteter Umgebung aufstellen. Benutzen Sie die Füße des Geräts, um
es waagerecht zu stabilisieren.

2. Darauf achten, dass der VOLTAGE SELECTOR-Schalter (3), befindet
sich am PLA TTENSPIELERSOCKEL (1), auf die vorschriftsmäßige
Spannung eingestellt ist.

WARNUNG: Falls das Gerät bei unvorschriftsmäßiger Spannung
betrieben wird, kann dadurch der Plattenteller beschädigt
werden.

3. Nachdem Sie überprüft haben, dass das Verpackungsmaterial
vollkommen entfernt worden ist, setzen Sie den PLA TTENTELLER (2 )
vorsichtig auf die mittige Spindel des PLATTENSPIELERSOCKELS (1 ).

4. DIE NEOPRENMA TTE (4) auf die Gegenspindel des

PLATTENTELLERS (2) legen.

EINBAU DES TONABNEHMERS: (SIEHE ABB. 1)

Weil alle Tonabnehmer individuell ausgeführt sind, siehe jeweilige
Anweisungen für Tonabnehmer, um richtigen Einbau sicherzustellen.

1. Die Zuleitungsdrähte an den Tonabnehmerklemmen anschließen. Um
den Anschluss zu erleichtern, sind die meisten Tonabnehmer
farbkodiert. Die Zuleitungsdrähte an den Klemmen der jeweiligen
Farbkennzeichnung anschließen.

Weiß (L+)

2. Den Tonabnehmer in den TONKOPF (5) einbauen und mit den dem
Tonabnehmer beigefügten Schrauben festziehen.

.......................linker Kanal +

EINBAU DES TONKOPFES:

Den TONKOPF (5) in der Vorderseite des röhrenförmigen TONARMS
(6) einfügen. Während Sie den TONKOPFES (5) fest in die horizontale

Position halten, drehen Sie die SICHERUNGSMUTTER (7) im
Uhrzeigersinn, bis der TONKOPF (5) einrastet.

EINBAU DES BALANCEGEWICHTS: (SIEHE ABB. 2)

1. Das BALANCEGEWICHT (8) auf den hinteren Teil des TONARMS (5)
schieben, wobei das numerierte Nadel-Messelement nach vorn
gerichtet sein muss.

2. Das BALANCEGEWICHT (8) gering im Uhrzeigersinn drehen, um es
auf den hinteren Teil des TONARMS (6) zu schrauben.

HORIZONT ALER NULLPUNKTABGLEICH (0)
UND REGULIERUNG DES UFLAGEDRUCKS:

1. Ohne die Nadelspitze zu berühren, entfernen Sie den Nadelschutz
(falls Ihr Tonabnehmer einen abnehmbaren Nadelschutz hat).

2. Die TONARM-KLEMMSCHELLE (9) freigeben und den TONARM (6)
von der TONARMAUFLAGE (10) abheben.

3. Durch das Vorschieben im Uhrzeigersinn des BALANCEGEWICHTS
(8) wird die Tonabnehmerseite des TONARMS (6) gesenkt. Beim
Schieben gegen den Uhrzeigersinn geschieht das Gegenteil. Das
BALANCEGEWICHT (8) je nach Bedarf im oder gegen den
Uhrzeigersinn drehen, bis der TONARM (6) horizontal ausbalanciert
ist. Dies läßt sich leicht feststellen, indem man die Stelle beobachtet,
wo der TONARM (6) unbehindert “schwimmt”.

4. Den TONARM (6) auf die TONARMAUFLAGE (10) setzen und ihn mit

5. Wenn der TONARM (6) auf der TONARMAUFLAGE (10) festgeklemmt
ist, halten Sie das BALANCEGEWICHT (8) ruhig mit der Hand,
während Sie den AUFLAGEDRUCKRING (11) rotieren, bis die Ziffer

“0” auf dem Ring mit der Mittellinie an der Hinterwelle des TONARMS

REGULIERUNG DER ANTISKATING­VORRICHTUNG:

1. Die ANTISKATING-VORRICHTUNG (12) auf den gleichen Wert wie
den Auflagedruck einstellen.

REGULIERUNG DER TONARMHÖHE:

Die Höhe des Tonarms ist zwischen 0 und 6 mm einstellbar. Eine
HÖHENSKALA (14) (in Inkrementen von 0,5 mm) wird mitgeliefert, um

bei der Einstellung den genauen Skalenwerts zu gewähren.

1. Den Tonarm ausrasten, indem Sie den Knopf der TONARM-
EINRASTKNOPF (15) entgegen die Einrastposition drehen.

2. In TABELLE A finden Sie die Höhe des T onabnehmers und auch den
entsprechenden Skalenwert.

3. Den HÖHENREGULIERUNG (13) drehen, bis die Referenzlinie auf dem
Ring am korrekten Skalenwert eingestellt ist.

4. Arretieren Sie den Tonarm, indem Sie den TONARM-EINRASTKNOPF

(15) im Uhrzeigersinn drehen, bis er die Einrastposition erreicht.

EINBAU DER ABDECKHAUBE:

1. Die Scharniere über der Abdeckhaube anbringen.

2. Halten Sie die Abdeckhaube direkt über dem Plattenteller in Position und

GRUNDBETRIEB:

1. Die Platte auf die NEOPRENMATTE (4) legen, die auf dem
DREHTELLER (2) liegt.

2. Die gewünschte Drehzahl auswählen, indem Sie an der SPEED SELECTOR­T ASTE (18) entweder 33 oder 45 U/min auswählen. Die SPEED SELECTOR-
TASTEN (18) für 33 und 45 U/min gleichzeitig für 78 U/min drücken.

3. Den LEISTUNGSSCHALTER (16) in die “ON” - Position schalten, woraufhin
das in den LEISTUNGSSCHALTER (16) und die DREHZAHLANZEIGE
eingebaute Strobelicht (für die ausgewählte Drehzahl) aufleuchten wird.

4. Den Nadelschutz abnehmen (falls an Ihrem Tonabnehmer vorhanden).

5. Die TONARM-KLEMMSCHELLE (9) an der TONARMAUFLAGE (10)
freigeben.

6. Die ST ART ST OP-TASTE (17) drücken. Der PLA TTENTELLER (2)
wird anfangen sich zu drehen.

7. Den CUE-HEBEL (19) in die “UP” - Position schieben.

8. Den Tonarm (6) über die gewünschte Rille auf der Platte positionieren,
und den CUE-HEBEL (19) in die “DOWN” - Position schieben. Der
TONARM (6) wird sich langsam auf die Platte senken, woraufhin die
Platte zu spielen beginnt.

9. Bei Beendigung des Spielens heben Sie den TONARM (6), schieben
ihn auf die TONARMAUFLAGE (10) und befestigen ihn mit der
TONARM-KLEMMSCHELLE (9).

10.Nun haben Sie die Option, den Strom auszuschalten, indem Sie den
LEISTUNGSSCHALTER (16) in die “OFF” - Position schalten, oder
den DREHTELLER (2) zu stoppen, indem Sie die START STOP-T ASTE

(17) drücken und die elektronische Bremse aktivieren.

SPIELUNTERBRECHUNG:

1. Durch das Schieben des CUE-HEBELS (19) in die “UP” - Position wird
der TONARM (6) angehoben und unterbricht das Spielen.

2. Das Schieben des CUE-HEBELS (19) in die “DOWN” - Position wird
den TONARM (6) langsam an der Stelle auf die Platte setzen, wo das

Spielen unterbrochen wurde.

DAS SPIELEN VON 45-U/MIN-PLATTEN:

1. Wenn Sie eine 45-U/min - Platte spielen, die ein großes Mittelloch hat,
setzen Sie zunächst einen 45er ADAPTER in die Spindel.

2. Darauf achten, dass die 45er DREHZAHLWÄHLT ASTE (18) gedrückt
ist und die 45-U/min-DREHZAHLANZEIGE erleuchtet.

ZIELLAMPE:

1. Fest auf den ZIELLAMPENSCHAL TER (21) drücken, wodurch die
ZIELLAMPE (22) so weit angehoben wird, um die Nadelspitze zu

beleuchten.

2. Um die ZIELLAMPE (22) senken, drücken Sie so lange auf den
Schalter, bis er im Gehäuse arretiert.

3. Bei Nichtgebrauch sollte die ZIELLAMPE (22) in gesenkter Position
gehalten werden.

REGELUNG DES TONHÖHENREGLERS
UND DES TASTENREGLERS:

1. Der PDT-6000 ist mit einem TONHÖHENREGLER (23) und mit einer
QUARTZSPERRE (25) ausgerüstet. Wenn die QUARTZSPERRE (25)

aktiviert ist, erleuchtet die QUARTZSPERRE-LED (24) grün, und die
Plattengeschwingkeit wird genau 33 1/3, 45 oder 78 U/min betragen,
abhängig davon, welche Geschwindigkeit ausgewählt wurde,
ungeachtet der Position des Tonhöhenreglers. Der

TONHÖHENREGLER (23) schaltet sich automatisch aus, wenn die
QUARTZSPERRE (25) aktiviert ist.

2. Wenn die QUARTZSPERRE (25) deaktiviert ist, können Sie den

5. Wenn Sie die MASTER TEMPO-TASTE (33) drücken, werden Sie das
Tempo der Platte regulieren könne, indem Sie den
TONHÖHENREGLER (23) regulieren. Der TONARTREGLER (32) wird
deaktiviert sein. Die Tonart wird automatisch reguliert, um in der
ursprünglichen Tonart der Platte zu bleiben, wenn Sie das Tempo
variieren. Die MASTER TEMPO-LED (35) wird erleuchten, wenn die
MASTER TEMPO-TASTE (33) gedrückt wird.

7. Der PLA TTENTELLER (2) ist mit einen U/MIN STROBE­ANZEIGESTREIFEN (26) ausgerüstet, und der NETZSCHALTER (16)

enthält eingebaute STROBELICHTER (27). Wenn sich der Plattenteller
dreht, werden die Strobelichter den U/min Strobe-Anzeigestreifen
erleuchten. Die untere Reihe der Punkte scheint feststehend zu sein,
wenn die Tonhöhe -3,3% ist. Die zweite Reihe der Punkte von unten
scheint feststehend zu sein, wenn die Geschwindigkeit genau 33 1/3,

(Tonhöhenprozent & Beats pro Minute). Die BPM/PITCH-TASTE (37)
ermöglicht Ihnen, das auszuwählen, was Sie anzeigen möchten,
entweder PITCH PERCENT AGE oder BPM.

REGULIERUNG DER ARMHEBEHÖHE:

Wenn der voreingestellte Abstand, bei dem der CUE-HEBEL (19) die
Nadel von der Plattenfläche hebt, nicht ausreicht, kann dieser durch
Drehen der ARMHEBEHÖHEN-JUSTIERSCHRAUBE (28) reguliert
werden und indem man gleichzeitig den TONARM (6) nach unten
drückt. Das Drehen der Schraube im Uhrzeigersinn wird den Abstand
verringern, und das Drehen gegen den Uhrzeigersinn wird ihn
verlängern.

BREMS- UND DREHMOMENT-REGELUNG:

Die regulierbare BRAKE-TASTE (38) ermöglicht Ihnen, die
Geschwindigkeit zu variieren, bei der der Plattenteller langsam zu
Stoppen kommt. Sie können die Verzögerungsrate regulieren, indem Sie
die BRAKE-TASTE (38) nach rechts oder nach links drehen. Sie
können die Taste eindrücken und sie in dieser Position halten. Wenn Sie
die Taste noch einmal drücken, springt sie heraus, und Sie können sie
nochmals regulieren.

Die regulierbare TORQUE-TASTE (39) ermöglicht Ihnen, die
Geschwindigkeit zu variieren, bei der der Plattenteller langsam zum
Stoppen kommt. Sie können die Verzögerungsrate regulieren, indem Sie

ENSAMBLADO E INSTALACIÓN:

INSTALACION DEL TOCADISCOS:

1. Coloque la BASE DEL TOCADISCOS (1) en una superficie plana y
horizontal sin vibraciones. Trate de colocar el aparato tan lejos de los
altavoces como posible. Proteja el aparato contra los rayos directos
del sol, contra el calor, la humedad o la suciedad. Mantenga buena
ventilación para el aparato. Utilice los pies del tocadiscos para
estabilizar el aparato horizontalmente.

2. Cerciórese de que el SELECTOR DE VOL TAJE (3), colocado
en la BASE DEL TOCADISCOS (1) ocupe el voltaje apropiado.

ADVERTENCIA: Si trata de hacer funcionar el tocadiscos con
un arreglo incorrecto del voltaje, esto puede dañarlo.

3. Después de verificar si todos los materiales de empaque han sido
eliminados, ponga el PLATO (2) cuidadosamente en la espiga central

INST ALACION DEL CARTUCHO: (Véase la Fig. 1)

INSTALACION DE LA CASCARA FRONTAL:

Introduzca la CASCARA FRONTAL (5) en el frente del BRAZO DE
LECTURA TUBULAR (6). Mientras que se mantiene bien la CASCARA
FRONTAL (5) en una posición horizontal, gire la TUERCA DE
BLOQUEO (7) en el sentido antihorario hasta que la CASCARA
FRONTAL (5) esté inmovilizado en su lugar.

INSTALACION DEL CONTRAPESO: (Véase la Fig. 2)

1. Deslice el CONTRAPESO (8) hacia la parte atrás del BRAZO DE
LECTURA (6) con el tamaño numerado del estilete hacia delante.

2. Gire el CONTRAPRESO (8) ligeramente hacia la izquierda pour
entornillarlo en la parte trasera del BRAZO DE LECTURA (6).

AJUSTE DEL EQUILIBRIO CERO (0)
HORIZONTAL Y PRESION DEL ESTILETE:

1. Sin tocar la punta del estilete, saque la protección del estilete (si su
cartucho tiene uno amovible).

2. Libere el SUJETADOR DEL BRAZO (9) y alce y separe el BRAZO DE
LECTURA (6) del PORTABRAZO (10).

3. El progreso en el sentido antihorario del CONTRAPESO (8) causará el
descenso del lado cartucho del BRAZO DE LECTURA (6). El progreso
en el sentido horario, causará lo opuesto. Gire el CONTRAPESO (8) en
el sentido horario o antihorario, según la necesidad, hasta que el
BRAZO DE LECTURA esté equilibrado horizontalmente. Esto se puede
fácilmente establecer al observar el punto donde el BRAZO DE
LECTURA “flota” libremente.

4. Coloque el BRAZO DE LECTURA (6) en el PORTABRAZO (10) e
inmovílicelo con el SUJETADOR DEL BRAZO (9).

5. Con el BRAZO DE LECTURA (6) inmovilizado sobre el PORTABRAZO
(10), mantenga el CONTRAPESO (8) inmóvil en una mano mientras que
se gira el STYLUS PRESSURE RING – ANILLO DE PRESION DEL

estilete recomendado por el fabricante del cartucho aparezca en el
ANILLO DE PRESION DEL ESTILETE (11) donde se alinea con la línea
central del árbol trasero del BRAZO DE LECTURA (6).

AJUSTE DEL MANDO ANTIDESLIZAMIENTO:

Ponga el MANDO ANTIDESLIZAMIENTO (12) en el mismo valor que la
presión del estilete.

LECTURA:

La altura del brazo de lectura es ajustable entre 0 y 6 mm. Hay una
ESCALA DE ALTURA (14) (en incrementos de 0m5 mm) para ayudar

1. Desbloquee el brazo de lectura girando el BOTON DE BLOQUEO DEL

INSTALACION DE LA COBERTURA
GUARDAPOLVO:

1. Instale las articulaciones en la cobertura guardapolvo.

2. Mantenga la cobertura en posición, directamente por encima del
tocadiscos, y deslice las bases de las articulaciones en los recipientes
montados en el panel trasero.

3. Siempre levante la cobertura antes de sacarla.

4. No abra ni cierre la cobertura durante la reproducción. Vibraciones

i ndeseables y el salto del estilete pueden producirse.

CONEXIONES:

1. Enfiche la ficha c.a. en una salida apropiada.

2. Véase el TABLERO B para la conexión correcta de las fichas RCA de
salida y del conector de puesta a tierra. Cerciórese de que todas las
fichas estén bien colocadas en sus jacks apropiados (entradas
fonográficas).

INSTRUCCIONES DE FUNCIONAMIENTO

FUNCIONAMIENTO BÁSICO:

1. Coloque un disco sobre la FELPA DE NEOPRENO (4) colocada en el
PLATO (2).

2. Seleccione la velocidad deseada apretando el SELECTOR DE
VELOCIDAD (18). Para un disco de 78 rpm, apriete a la vez en los
SELECTORES DE VELOCIDAD (18) 33 Y 45.

3. Coloque el INTERRUPTOR DE PODER (16) en la posición “MARCHA”;
en este momento, el iluminador estroboscópico (integrado en el
INTERRUPTOR DE PODER (16)) y el INDICADOR DE VELOCIDAD
(para la velocidad seleccionada) se prenderán.

4. Saque la protección del estilete (si se aplica a su cartucho).

5. Libere el SUJETADOR DEL BRAZO (9) colocado en el APOY ABRAZO (10).

6. Apriete el PULSADOR de MARCHA/P ARADA (17). El PLA T O (2 ) del
tocadiscos comenzará a girar.

7. Oprima el PALANCA DE REFERENCIA (19) hacia la posición ARRIBA”.

8. Coloque el BRAZO DE LECTURA (6) por encima de la posición
deseada en el disco y coloque la PALANCA DE REFERENCIA (19) en
la posición “ABAJO”. El BRAZO DE LECTURA (6) hará descender el
disco lentamente hasta el punto donde empieza la reproducción.

9. Cuando se termine la reproducción, levante el BRAZO DE LECTURA

(6), muévalo al APOY ABRAZO (10) e inmovilícelo con el SUJETADOR
DEL BRAZO (9).

10.Ahora tiene la opción de cortar el poder al colocar el INTERRUPTOR
DE PODER (16) en la posición “APAGADO” o de parar el
PLAT O (2 ) apretando el PULSADOR DE MARCHA/P ARADA (17) y

activando el freno eléctrico.

INTERRUPCION DE LA REPRODUCCION:

1. El hecho de colocar la PALANCA DE REFERENCIA (19) en la posición
“ARRIBA” hará alzar el BRAZO DE LECTURA (6) lo que parará la
reproducción.

2. El hecho de colocar la PALANCA DE REFERENCIA (19) en la posición
“ABAJO” hará descender el BRAZO DE LECTURA (6) lentamente
sobre el disco en el punto donde se interrumpió la reproducción.

REPRODUCCION DE DISCOS DE 45 RPM:

1. Cuando se reproduce un disco de 45 RPM con un gran orificio en el
centro, primero coloque un ADAPTADOR 45 en la espiga central.

2. Cerciórese de que se apriete el SELECTOR DE VELOCIDAD 45 (18) y
que el INDICADOR DE VELOCIDAD 45 se prenda.

LUZ META:

1. Apriete bien el INTERRUPTOR DE LA LUZ MET A (21) y la LUZ META
(22) ascenderá en posición e iluminará la punta del estilete.

2. Para abajar la LUZ META (22), apriete la luz hasta que se inmovilice en
su cubierta.

3. Cuando no se usa, la LUZ META (22) debería mantenerse en la
posición de abajo.

AJUSTE DEL MANDO DE LA ALTURA
TONAL Y MANDO DEL TONO:

1. El aparato PDT-6000 tiene MANDO DE LA ALTURA TONAL (23) y
CIERRE DE CUARZO (25). Cuando se activa este último, el DEL del
CIERRE DE CUARZO (24) se prende en VERDE, y la velocidad será

exactamente igual a 33 1/3, 45 ó 78 RPM según la velocidad
seleccionada sin tener cuenta de la posición del mando de la altur
tonal. Este mando se desactiva automáticamente cuando se active el
CIERRE DE CUARZO (25).

2. Cuando el CIERRE DE CUARZO (25) está desactivado, se puede
ajustar el MANDO DE LA ALTURA T ONAL (24). Cuando se mueve el
MANDO DE LA ALTURA TONAL (24) fuera del centro, el ritmo puede
variar +/- 4%, +/- 8%, +/- 16% ó +/- 35% según el BOTON DEL
ALCANCE (31) seleccionado. Estos son botones o pulsadores
iluminados y se prenderán cuando apretados.

* Nota: Si la velocidad es igual a 33 1/3 rpm y Ud ajusta el ritmo a +35%,

la velocidad será exactamente igual a 45 rpm. Al contrario, si la
velocidad es 45 rpm y Ud ajusta el ritmo a –35%, la velocidad será
exactamente 33 1/3 rpm.

3. Ajustando el MANDO DEL TONO (32), se puede aumentar o reducir el
tono de la música. El tono puede variar +/- 4%, +/- 8%, +/- 16% ó +/-

:

35% según el BOTON DEL ALCANCE (31) que se selecciona.

4. Apriete el CIERRE DE CUARZO (25) para llevar la velocidad a
exactamente 33 1/3, 45 ó 78 rpm con el MANDO DE LA AL TURA

TONAL (23) colocado fuera del centro. Desactive el CIERRE DE
CUARZO (25) para llevar la velocidad del plato otra vez a su ajuste

original.

5. Cuando se apriete el PULSADOR DEL RITMO MAESTRO (33), Ud
podrá ajustar el ritmo del disco con el MANDO DE LA ALTURA T ONAL
(23). El MANDO DEL TONO (32) será desactivado. El tono de la
música será automáticamente ajustado para permanecer en el tono
original del disco, mientras que cambie el ritmo. El DEL del RITMO

MAESTRO (35) se prenderá cuando se apriete el PULSADOR DEL
RITMO MAESTRO (33).

6. El PULSADOR DE TONO ACTIVADO (34) cuando apretado, le permite
ajustar el MANDO DE LA ALTURA T ONAL (23) y el MANDO DEL

TONO (32), independientemente el uno del otro. El DEL del TONO
ACTIVADO (36) se prenderá cuando se apriete el KEY ON BUTTON (34).

* Nota: El MASTER TEMPO BUTTON (33), KEY ON BUTTON (34), PITCH

CONTROL (23), y KEY CONTROL (32) pueden ser utilizados
únicamente a través de los JACKS DE SALIDA LINEA (40) y el JACK
DE SALIDA NUMERICA (42). No pueden ser utilizados cuando el
CONMUT ADOR FONO/LINEA (41) esté arreglado en FONOGRAFICO.

7. El PLATO (2) contiene un CINTA INDICADORA ESTROBOSCOPICA
DE LOS RPMS (26) y el INTERRUPTOR DE PODER (16) contiene
LUCES ESTROBOSCOPICAS (27) incorporadas. Cuando está girando
el PLA TO (2), las LUCES ESTROBOSCOPICAS (27) iluminan la CINTA
INDICADORA ESTROBOSCOPICA DE LOS RPMS (26). La hilera

inferior de puntos parecerá estacionaria cuando la altura tonal es igual
a –3,3 %. La segunda hilera de puntos desde el fondo parecerá
estacionaria cuando la velocidad es exactamente igual a 33 1/3, 45 ó
78 rpm según el cual de los SELECTORES DE VELOCIDAD (18) ha
sido oprimido. La tercera hilera de puntos desde el fondo parecerá
estacionaria con la altura tonal igual a + 3,3%. La hilera superior de
puntos parecerá estacionaria cuando la altura tonal es igual a + 7,2 %.

USO DEL BOTON DE MARCHA INVERSA:

1. Apriete el PULSADOR DE MARCHA INVERSA (29) para invertir la
rotación del PLAT O (2 ) (el DEL DE MARCHA INVERSA (30) se
prenderá en la modalidad inversa). Apriete este PULSADOR (29) por
segunda vez para volver a la reproducción normal.

PANTALLA NUMERICA:

1. La PANTALLA NUMERICA (20) muestra el PITCH PERCENTAGE &
BPM. El PULSADOR BPM/ALTURA T ONAL (37) le permite seleccionar
lo que quiere que se muestre, sea el PORCENTAJE DE LA ALTURA
TONAL sea el BPM (BATIDOS POR MINUTO).

AJUSTE DE LA AL TURA DEL BRAZO ALZADO:

Si la distancia preajustada que el PALANCA DE REFERENCIA (19) alza
el estilete de la superficie del disco es inadecuada, se puede ajustar
girando el TORNILLO DE AJUSTE DE LA AL TURA DEL BRAZO

ALZADO (28) mientras que se aprieta simultáneamente el BRAZO DE
LECTURA (6). La rotación en el sentido horario del tornillo reducirá la

distancia y la rotación en el sentido antihorario aumentará tal distancia.

MANDOS DEL FRENO Y DEL MOMENTO:

El BOTON DEL FRENO (38) ajustable le permite variar la velocidad a la

cual el PLATO (2) reduce su velocidad antes de parar. Se puede
ajustar el tiempo de la desaccelaración girando el BOTON DEL
FRENO (38) en el sentido horario o antihorario. Después, se puede
apretar el botón para mantenerlo en tal posición. Apriételo otra vez y
emergerá para que lo pueda ajustar otra vez. El BOTON DEL

MOMENTO (39) ajustable le permite variar la velocidad a la cual el
PLATO (2) accelera. Se puede ajustar el tiempo de la accelaración

girando el BOTON DEL MOMENTO (39) en el sentido horario o
antihorario. Después, se puede apretar el botón para mantenerlo en tal
posición. Apriételo otra vez y emergerá para que lo pueda ajustar otra
vez.

JACKS DE SALIDA:

Los JACKS DE SALIDA FONO/LINEA (40) son jacks del tipo RCA.
Pueden ser asignados como salida LINEA o salida FONO utilizando el

CONMUTADOR FONO/LINEA (41). El JACK DE SALIDA NUMERICA
(42) le permite conectar el tocadiscos PDT-6000 a un mezclador, un

grabador, etc. que acepte una señal numérica.

en matière de tourne-disque moderne à entraînement direct. Avant son
emploi, nous vous recommandons de lire toutes les instructions.

4. Les roulements du bras tonal sont installés et scellés à l’usine. Toute
tentative de réglage annulera la garantie.

5. Assurez-vous de couper la puissance c.a. lorsque vous faites de
branchements.

6. Les câbles devraient avoir une basse capacitance; ils devraient être
blindés et avoir une longueur correcte. Assurez-vous que toutes les
fiches et tous les jacks sont solides et bien branchés.

7. Commencez toujours en ayant les commandes des volumes sonores
des faders/volume établi au minimum et la (les) commande(s) de volume des
haut-parleurs réglée(s) sur OFF (arrêt). Attendez entre 8 et 10 secondes
avant d’augmenter le volume des haut-parleurs pour prévenir un “POP”
transitoire qui pourrait endommager le haut-parleur/croisement.

ASSEMBLAGE ET INSTALLATION:

INSTALLATION DU PLATEAU:

1. Mettez la BASE DU TOURNE-DISQUE (1) sur une surface plate, stable
et bien nivelée exempte de vibrations. Essayez d’éloigner l’appareil
aussi loin des haut-parleurs que possible. Gardez l’appareil éloigné des
rayons directs du soleil, de la chaleur, de l’humidité ou de la saleté.
Gardez l’appareil bien ventilé. Utilisez les pieds du tourne-disque pour
stabiliser l’appareil horizontalement.

2. Assurez-vous que le SÉLECTEUR DE TENSION (3),situé sur la BASE

DU TOURNE-DISQUE (1) est positionné sur la tension correcte.
AVERTISSEMENT: Si vous essayez de faire marcher le tourne­disque avec un réglage de tension incorrecte, vous risquer
d’endommager le tourne-disque.

3. Après avoir vérifié que tous les emballages ont été retirés, placez le

PLATEAU (2) gentillement sur la cheville centrale de la BASE DU
TOURNE-DISQUE (1).

4. Mettez le TAPIS EN NÉOPRÈNE (4) sur le PLATEAU (2)

INST ALLATION DE LA CARTOUCHE: VOIR FIG. 1

Etant donné que toutes les cartouches ont leurs propres conceptions,
référez-vous aux instructions de votre cartouche particulière pour
assurer une installation correcte.

1. Branchez les conducteurs aux bornes de la cartouche. Pour vous
faciliter la tâche, les bornes de la majorité des cartouches sont
identifiées par un code de coloration. Branchez chaque conducteur à
la borne de la même couleur.

2. Montez la cartouche dans la COQUILLE (5) et serrez-la au moyen des
vis fournies avec la cartouche.

INSTALLATION DE LA COQUILLE:

Introduisez la COQUILLE (5) sur le devant du BRAS DE LECTURE (6)
tubulaire. Tout en tenant la COQUILLE (5) bien dans la position
horizontale, tournez le ECROU DE SERRAGE (7) dans le sens
antihoraire jusqu’à ce que la COQUILLE (5) soit verrouillée en place.

INSTALLATION DU CONTREPOIDS: VOIR LA FIG. 2

1. Glissez le CONTREPOIDS (8) sur l’arrière du BRAS DE LECTURE (6)
avec le stylet numéroté vers l’avant.

2. Tournez le CONTREPOIDS (8) légèrement à gauche pour le visser sur
l’arrière du BRAS DE LECTURE (6).

REGLAGE DE L ’ÉQUILIBRE ZÉRO
HORIZONT AL (0) ET LA PRESSION DU STYLET:

1. Sans toucher la pointe du stylet, enlevez la protection du stylet (si
votre cartouche en possède une qui est détachable).

2. Libérez SERRE-BRAS (9) et enlevez le BRAS DE LECTURE (6) DU

PORTE-BRAS (10).

3. L’avancement dans le sens antihoraire du CONTREPOIDS (8) fera
descendre le côté cartouche du BRAS DE LECTURE (6). L’avancement
dans le sens horaire causera l’opposé. Tournez le CONTREPOIDS (8)
dans le sens horaire ou antihoraire selon le besoin, jusqu’à ce que le
BRAS DE LECTURE (6) soit équilibré horizontalement. Vous pourrez le
déterminer facilement en observant le moment quand le BRAS DE
LECTURE (6) “flotte” librement.

4. Placez le BRAS DE LECTURE (6) sur le PORTE-BRAS (10) et
verrouillez-le en place à l’aide du SERRE-BRAS (9)

5. Le BRAS DE LECTURE (6) étant verrouillé sur le PORTE-BRAS (10),
prenez le CONTREPOIDS (8) sans bouger dans une main tout en
tournant l’ANNEAU DE PRESSION DU STYLET (1 1 ) jusqu’à ce que le
chiffre “0” sur l’anneau s’aligne avec la ligne centrale sur l’arbre
arrière du BRAS DE LECTURE (6). L’équilibre zéro horizontal (0)
devrait ainsi être complété.

6. Laissez flotter le BRAS LECTURE pour vous assurer de l’équilibre
zéro horizontal (0). Si cet équilibre n’est pas maintenu, répétez les
étapes 3-5 du contrepoids.

7. Après avoir réglé l’équilibre zéro horizontal (0), tournez le
CONTREPOIDS (8) équilibré à gauche jusqu’à ce que la pression du
stylet recommandée par le fabricant de la cartouche apparaisse sur
l’ANNEAU DE PRESSION DU STYLET (11) là où il s’aligne avec la
ligne centrale de l’arbre arrière du BRAS DE LECTURE (6).

RÉGLAGE DE LA COMMANDE
ANTIGLISSEMENT:

Mettez la COMMANDE ANTIGLISSEMENT (12) sur la même valeur
que la pression du stylet.

RÉGLAGE DE LA HAUTEUR DU BRAS DE
LECTURE:

La hauteur du bras de lecture est réglable entre 0 et 6 mm. Une
ÉCHELLE DE HAUTEUR (14) (par incréments de 0,5 mm) est fournie

pour vous aider à obtenir un réglage précis.

1. Déverrouillez le bras de lecture en tournant le BOUTON DE
VERROUILLAGE DU BRAS (15) dans le sens de libération.

2. Vérifiez la hauteur de la cartouche sur le TABLEAU A et trouvez sa
valeur correspondante sur l’échelle de hauteur.

3. Tournez l’ANNEAU DE RÉGLAGE DE LA HAUTEUR DU BRAS (13)
jusqu’à ce que la ligne de référence sur l’anneau soit positionnée
sur la valeur de l’échelle correcte.

4. Verrouillez le bras de lecture en tournant le BOUTON DE
VERROUILLAGE DU BRAS (15) à droite jusqu’à ce qu’il occupe la
position de verrouillage.

1. Montez les charnières sur le couvercle antipoussière.

2. Tenez le couvercle en position, directement au-dessus du tourne­disque et glissez les bases des charnières dans les porte-charnières
montés sur le panneau arrière.

3. Soulevez le couvercle toujours avant de son enlèvement.

4. N’ouvrez et ne fermez pas le couvercle antipoussière durant la
reproduction car ceci risque de produire des vibrations et de faire
sursauter le stylet.

BRANCHEMENTS:

1. Enfichez la fiche C.A. dans une prise appropriée.

2. Voir le TABLEAU B pour le branchement correct des fiches de sortie
RCA et du connecteur de terre/masse. Assurez-vous que toutes les
fiches sont bien enfichées dans les jacks (entrées phonographiques).

1. Placez un disque sur le TAPIS EN NÉOPRÈNE (4) qui se trouve sur le
PLATEAU (2)

2. Choisissez la vitesse désirée en appuyant sur le SÉLECTEUR DE
VITESSE 33 ou 45 (18). Pour 78 tours, appuyez à la fois sur les

3. Mettez le COMMUTATEUR DE PUISSANCE (16) sur la position

“MARCHE”; à ce point, l’illuminateur stroboscopique (incorporé au
commutateur de puissance et l’INDICA TEUR DE VITESSE (pour la
vitesse choisie) s’allumera.

4. Enlevez la protection du stylet (selon votre type de cartouche).

5. Relâchez le SERRE-BRAS (9) retrouvé sur le PORTE-BRAS (10).

6. Appuyez sur la touche MARCHE/ARRET (17). Le PLATEAU (2) du
tourne-disque commencera à tourner.

7. Poussez le LEVIER CUE - RÉFÉRENCE (19) vers la position “HAUT”.

8. Positionnez l’ARBRE DE LECTURE (6) par-dessus la position désirée
sur le disque et poussez le LEVIER CUE – RÉFÉRENCE sur la position
“BAS”. Le BRAS DE LECTURE (6) descendra lentement vers le
disque et au moment de le toucher, la reproduction commencera.

9. Une fois la reproduction terminée, soulevez le BRAS DE LECTURE (6),
déplacez-le vers le PORTE-BRAS (10) et immobilisez-le avec le

SERRE-BRAS (9).

10.Vous avez le choix de couper le courant en tournant le
COMMUTATEUR DE PUISSANCE (16) sur la position “ARRET” ou en
arrêtant le PLATEAU (2) en appuyant sur la touche MARCHE/ARRET
(17) et en activant le frein électrique.

INTERRUPTION DE LA REPRODUCTION:

1. Lorsque vous poussez le LEVIER CUE – REFERENCE (19) sur la
position “HAUT”, le BRAS DE LECTURE (6) se lèvera ce qui arrêtera
la reproduction.

2. Lorsque vous poussez ce LEVIER (19) sur la position “BAS”, le
BRAS DE LECTURE (6) descendra lentement et se mettra sur le
disque là où la reproduction s’était arrêtée.

DISQUES DE 45 TOURS:

1. Pour reproduire un disque de 45 tours ayant un grand trou au milieu, il
faut d’abord introduire l’ADAPTATEUR 45 sur la cheville centrale.

2. Assurez-vous que le SÉLECTEUR DE VITESSE 45 (18) est pressé et

l’INDICA TEUR DE VITESSE 45 allumé.

LUMIÈRE CIBLE:

1. Appuyez bien sur le COMMUTATEUR DE LUMIERE CIBLE (21) et la
LUMIÈRE CIBLE (22) montera en position et allumera la pointe du stylet.

2. Pour faire descendre la LUMIÈRE CIBLE, appuyez sur celle-ci jusqu’à
ce qu’elle s’immobilise dans le carter.

3. Quand elle n’est pas utilisée, la LUMIÈRE CIBLE devrait être maintenue
dans la position inférieure.

RÉGLAGE DE LA COMMANDE DE LA
HAUTEUR TONALE ET COMMANDE DE TON:

1. L’appareil PDT-6000 est pourvu d’une COMMANDE DE LA HAUTEUR
TONALE (23) et d’un VERROUILLAGE QUARTZ (25). Lorsque le
VERROUILLAGE QUARTZ (25) est activé, le DEL (24) correspondant

s’allume et est VERT, et la vitesse sera exactement 33 1/3, 45 et 79
tours selon la vitesse sélectionnée sans tenir compte de la position de
la commande de la hauteur tonale. La COMMANDE DE LA HAUTEUR

TONALE (23) se désactive automatiquement quand le
VERROUILLAGE QUARTZ (25) est activé.

2. Lorsque le VERROUILLAGE QUARTZ (25) est inactif, vous pouvez
régler la COMMANDE DE LA HAUTEUR TONALE (23). Lorsque vous
décentrez la COMMANDE DE LA HAUTEUR TONALE (23), la cadence
peut varier de +/- 4%, +/-8%, +/-16% ou +/- 35% selon la TOUCHE DE
PORTEE (31) sélectionnée. Elles sont allumées et elles s’allumeront
quand elles sont pressées.

*Remarque: Si la vitesse est 33 1/3 tours/minute et vous réglez la

cadence à +35%, votre vitesse sera exactement 45 tours/minute. Par
contre, si la vitesse est 45 tours/minute, et vous réglez la cadence à –
35%, votre vitesse sera exactement 33 1/3 tours/minute.

3. En réglant la COMMANDE DE TON (32), vous pouvez rehausser ou
abaisser Le ton de la musique. Le ton peut varier de +/- 4%, +/-8%, +/-
16% ou +/-35% selon la TOUCHE DE PORTEE (31) que vous
sélectionnez.

4. Appuyez sur la touche de VERROUILLAGE QUARTZ (25) pour
ramener la vitesse à exactement 33 1/3, 45 ou 78 tours/minute lorsque
la COMMANDE DE LA HAUTEUR T ONALE (23) est décentrée.
L’inactivation du VERROUILLAGE QUARTZ (25) ramènera la vitesse
du plateau au réglage original.

5. Lorsque vous appuyez sur le TOUCHE DE CADENCE MASTER (33),
vous pourrez régler la cadence du disque à l’aide de la COMMANDE
DE LA HAUTEUR TONALE (23). La TOUCHE DE TON (32) sera
désactivée. Le ton de la musique sera réglé automatiquement pour se
maintenir au ton original du disque, au fur et à mesure que la cadence
varie. Le DEL DE CADENCE MASTER (35) s’allumera lorsque la
TOUCHE DE CADENCE MASTER (33) est pressée.

6. LA TOUCHE DE TON ACTIVÉ (34), quand pressée, vous permet de
régler la COMMANDE DE LA HAUTEUR TONALE (23) et la COMMANDE
DE TON (32) indépendamment l’une de l’autre. La DEL DE TON ACTIVÉ (36)
s’allumera lorsque la KEY ON BUTTON (34) est pressée.

*REMARQUE: La MASTER TEMPO BUTTON (33 ), KEY ON BUTTON

(34 ), PITCH CONTROL (23 ) et KEY CONTROL (32) ne peuvent être
utilisées qu’au moyen des JACKS DE SORTIE LIGNE (40)
et un JACK DE SORTIE NUMERIQUE (42). Elles ne peuvent pas
être utilisées lorsque le commutateur PHONO/LINE (41)
est réglé sur Phono.

7. Le PLA TEAU (2) est pourvu d’une BANDE INDICATRICE TOURS/

MINUTE STROBOSCOPIQUE (26) et l’INTERRUPTEUR DE PUIS
SANCE (16) comporte des LUMIÈRES STROBOSCOPIQUES (27).

Quand le PLATEAU tourne, les LUMIÈRES STROBOSCOPIQUES (27)
allument la BANDE INDICATRICE TOURS/MINUTE
STROBOSCOPIQUE. La rangée inférieure de points apparaîtra comme
stationnaire quand la hauteur tonale est –3,3 %. La seconde rangée de
points à partir du fond apparaîtra comme stationnaire quand la vitesse
est exactement 33 1/3, 45 ou 78 tours/minute selon les SÉLECTEURS
DE VITESSE (18) pressés. La troisième rangée de points à partir du
fond apparaîtra comme stationnaire lorsque la hauteur tonale est égale à
+3,3%. La rangée supérieure des points apparaîtra comme stationnaire
quand la hauteur tonale est égale à +7,2%.

EMPLOI DE LA TOUCHE D’INVERSION

1. Appuyez sur la TOUCHE D’INVERSION (29) pour inverser la rotation
du PLATEAU (2) (le DEL d’INVERSION (30) s’allumera dans la modalité
d’inversion). Appuyez sur cette TOUCHE (29) une seconde fois pour
retourner la reproduction normale.

AFFICHAGE NUMÉRIQUE:

1. LE L ’AFFICHAGE NUMÉRIQUE (20) indique le POURCENT AGE DE LA
HAUTEUR TONALE ET BA TTEMENTS P AR MINUTE. La TOUCHE
BPM/HAUTEUR TONALE (37) vous permet de choisir ce que vous
voulez afficher, le POURCENT AGE DE LA HAUTEUR T ONALE ou le BPM.

RÉGLAGE DE LA HAUTEUR DU
RELÈVE-BRAS:

Si la distance préréglée que le LEVIER CUE - RÉFÉRENCE (19) relève
le stylet de la surface du disque est inadéquate, elle peut être réglée
en tournant l’ VIS DE RÉGLAGE DE LA HAUTEUR DU RELEVE-BRAS
(28) tout en appuyant simultanément sur le BRAS DE LECTURE (6).
Le fait de tourner la vis dans le sens horaire réduira la distance; dans
le sens antihoraire, la distance sera augmentée.

COMMANDES DE FREIN ET DE COUPLE:

La UCHE DE FREIN (38) réglable vous permet de faire varier la vitesse
à laquelle le plateau freine jusqu’au point d’arrêt. Vous pouvez ajuster
la longueur de freinage en tournant la TOUCHE DE FREIN (38) dans le
sens horaire ou antihoraire. Puis, vous pouvez appuyer sur la touche
pour la tenir dans cette position. Appuyez une nouvelle fois sur la
touche pour la faire sortir de nouveau pour que vous puissiez la régler.
La TOUCHE DE COUPLE (39) réglable vous permet de faire varier la
vitesse à laquelle le plateau accélère. Vous pouvez ajuster la longueur
de l’accélération en tournant la TOUCHE DE COUPLE (39) dans le sens
horaire ou antihoraire. Puis, vous pouvez appuyer sur la touche pour la
tenir dans cette position. Appuyez une nouvelle fois sur la touche
pour la faire sortir de nouveau pour que vous puissiez la régler.

JACKS DE SORTIE:

Les JACKS DE SORTIE PHONO/LIGNE (40) sont des jacks RCA. Ils
peuvent être assignés à la sortie Ligne ou la sortie Phono en utilisant le

COMMUTATEUR PHONO/LINE (41). Le JACK DE SORTIE NUMÉRIQUE
(42) vous permet de connecter le tourne-disque PDT-6000 à un mélangeur,

un enregistreur, etc. qui accepte un signal numérique.
