INTRODUCTION

Congratulations on purchasing a Gemini wireless system. This state of the art unit includes the latest features backed by a three year limited warranty. Prior to use, we suggest that you carefully read all the instructions.

CAUTIONS

1.All operating instructions should be read before using this equipment.

2.To reduce the risk of electrical shock, do not open the unit. There are NO USER

REPLACEABLE PARTS INSIDE. Please refer servicing to a qualified service technician.

3.Do not expose this unit to direct sunlight or to a heat source such as a radiator or stove.

4.Dust, dirt and debris can interfere with the performance of this unit. Make an effort to keep the unit away from dusty, dirty environments, and cover the unit when it is not in use. Dust it regularly with a soft, clean brush.

5.When moving this equipment, it should be placed in its original carton and packaging. This will reduce the risk of damage during transit.

6.DO NOT EXPOSE THIS UNIT TO RAIN OR MOISTURE.

7.DO NOT USE ANY SPRAY CLEANER OR LUBRICANT ON ANY CONTROLS OR SWITCHES.

FCC RULES AND REGULATIONS

Gemini wireless systems are the type accepted under FCC rules parts 74 and 15. Licensing of Gemini equipment is the user’s responsibility and licensability depends on the user’s classification and application.

NX-210 WIRELESS SYSTEM

The NX-210 true diversity NX series wireless system is a high quality audio product that has built in noise reduction and utilizes the true diversity reception technique. True diversity receivers contain two completely independent receivers tuned to the same frequency within a single chasis. An internal processor compares the signal strengths at the output of each receiver and determines which receiver has the clearest and strongest signal, and then that signal is than directed to audio output. This is an automatic function that can be monitored by watching the A-B diversity indicators on the front panel of the receiver.

Four different models are available and all operate on a VHF high band frequency between 174.60 MHZ - 204.6 MHZ.

THE MODELS AVAILABLE ARE:

NX-210M - which comes equipped with a hand held microphone transmitter. NX-210L - which comes equipped with a belt pack and lavalier transmitter. NX-210G - which comes equipped with a belt pack and a instrument cable.

NX-210H - which comes equipped with a belt pack and a headset transmitter.

RECEIVER OPERATION

Note: Effective range between the microphone and receiver is up to 400 feet.

1.Remove all packing materials. Save the box and packing material to transport the unit, and in case the unit ever requires service.

2.Plug the AC adaptor into the rear of the receiver where the jack is labeled DC 12V. Then plug the adaptor into an appropriate AC outlet. Switch the power to the ON position. Note: The adaptor is available in 120V AC or 230V AC.

3.Extend the antennas fully and point them toward the direction you will be speaking from.

4.Insert the 1/4" phone cable into the jack labeled AUDIO OUT on the rear of the receiver, and connect the other end of the cable to your amp, effects or mixer mic jack.

5.Adjust the volume using the level control on the front panel.

6.To adjust the squelch, place the small plastic tool (included with the unit) in the hole marked SQUELCH at the back of the unit, and slowly turn the tool to adjust the output level to just above the level of background noise. Setting the squelch too high will reduce the range of the system. Setting the squelch too low will increase the level of unwanted noise.

HAND HELD TRANSMITTER FEATURES

CAUTIONS

1.Do not drop the microphone onto a hard surface.

2.Do not strike the microphone head front with fist or fingers, and do not blow strongly into the microphone head front.

3.Do not use the microphone in areas of high humidity and/or high temperature as this could lead to damage of the microphone.

HAND HELD TRANSMITTER OPERATION

1.Open the battery holder by turning it counterclockwise. Insert a 9V battery into the battery holder according to the polarity indication marked on the battery housing. Close the battery holder.

2.Push the power switch to the ON position. The BATT indicator should flash once briefly as you turn on the mic indicating that the mic has sufficient power. If the BATT stays on, it indicates that the battery has insufficient power and should be changed. If the BATT does not light at all and the mic does not work, it indicates that the battery is dead , and you should change the battery. If the microphone is not going to be used for any length of time, push the power switch to OFF and remove the battery. Do not switch the mic on and off rapidly, because you won’t get a true indication from the BATT indicator.

LAVALIER BELT PACK TRANSMITTER OPERATION

1.Open the battery door by sliding towards the arrow. Insert a 9V battery into the battery holder according to the polarity indication marked on the battery housing. Close the battery door.

2.Push the power switch to the ON position. The LOW BATT indicator should flash once as the switch passes MUTE indicating that the mic has sufficient power. If the LOW BATT stays on, it indicates that the battery has insufficient power and should be changed. If the LOW BATT does not light at all, it indicates that the battery is either dead or not positioned correctly, and you should correct the positioning or change the battery. If the transmitter is not going to be used for any length of time, push the power switch to OFF and remove the battery.

3.The lavalier mic clip should be placed as high as possible in a vertical line with your mouth.

4.To adjust the gain (input sensitivity), remove the battery door and place the small plastic tool (included with the unit) in the hole marked mic adj and slowly turn the tool and speak into the mic until the volume is adjusted. Use of any other tool to adjust the gain will void the warranty.

5.The lavalier wire is the transmit antenna. Do not roll up, coil or shorten during use. This wire must be kept as straight as possible.

Wir bedanken uns für Ihre Wahl des drahtlosen Übertragungssystems NX-210 von Gemini. Dieses innovative Gerät mit drei Jahren Herstellergarantie bietet alle aktuellen Funktionen. Bitte lesen Sie diese Bedienungsanleitung, bevor Sie das Gerät in Betrieb nehmen.

HINWEISE ZUR SICHERHEIT

1.Lesen Sie diese Bedienungsanleitung vor der Inbetriebnahme vollständig durch.

2.Um die Gefahr eines elektrischen Schlages auszuschließen, darf das Gerät nicht geöffnet werden. Dieses Gerät enthält KEINE AUSTAUSCHBAREN KOMPONENTEN. Wenden Sie sich im Falle einer Reparatur an qualifizierte Fachleute.

3.Setzen Sie das Gerät keiner direkten Sonnenstrahlung oder Wärmequellen wie Heizungen aus.

4.Da die Leistung des Gerätes durch Staub und Schmutz beeinträchtigt werden könnte, sollte es immer in einer sauberen Umgebung eingesetzt und bei Nichtbenutzung abgedeckt werden. Reinigen Sie das Gerät regelmäßig mit einem weichen, sauberen Pinsel.

5.Das Gerät sollte im Originalkarton transportiert werden, um Beschädigungen zu vermeiden.

GESETZLICHE BESTIMMUNGEN

AUSZUG AUS DER FUNKVERORDNUNG FÜR KANAL 62:

„Die Drahtlosen Mikrofonanlagen genießen keinerlei Schutz vor eventuellen Störungen durch andere, bevorrechtigte Funkanlagen sowie gegenüber ausländischen Fernsehsendern. Soweit nicht auf andere Subkanäle ausgewichen werden kann, muß bei derartigen Störungen der

Betreiber einen Frequenzwechsel in einen anderen freien Kanal vornehmen. Verursachen drahtlose Mikrofonanlagen bei den oben genannten anderen Funkanlagen

Störungen, so muß das störende Mikrofon sofort außer Betrieb genommen werden.“

NX-210 DRAHTLOSES EINKANAL-ÜBERTRAGUNGSSYSTEM

Das drahtlose True-Diversity System NX-210 ist ein hochwertiges Qualitätsprodukt mit TrueDiversity Empfangstechnik und integrierter Rauschunterdrückung. Der True-Diversity Empfänger beinhaltet zwei völlig unabhängige Empfängerschaltungen mit gleicher Frequenz.

Ein integrierter Prozessor vergleicht die Signalpegel am Ausgang beider Empfänger und selektiert das stärkste und klarste Signal, das dann zum Audio-Ausgang gesendet wird. Diese Funktion erfolgt automatisch und kann über die Diversity-LED´s A-B angezeigt werden.

Dieses Gerät arbeitet im VHF-Band zwischen 174.60 MHZ - 204.6 MHZ und ist in vier unterschiedlichen Versionen erhältlich.

BETRIEB DES EMPFÄNGERS

ANMERKUNG: Die effektive Reichweite zwischen Mikrofon und Empfänger beträgt bis zu 133 Meter.

1.Entfernen Sie alle Verpackungsmaterialien und bewahren Sie den Originalkarton für einen späteren Transport auf.

2.Schließen Sie den Netzadapter zunächst an die Buchse DC„ 12V“ an, stecken Sie den Adapter in eine geeignete Netzsteckdose und schalten Sie das Gerät ein. Der Netzadapter ist für 230V-Netzspannung lieferbar.

3.Ziehen Sie die Antennen vollständig aus und drehen Sie sie in die Richtung des Mikrofons.

4.Verbinden Sie die 6,3 mm Klinkenbuchse „AUDIO OUT“ über das mitgelieferte Kabel mit dem Mikrofoneingang Ihres Verstärkers, Mixers oder Effektgerätes.

5.Justieren Sie den Signalpegel über den Regler auf der Frontplatte des Empfängers.

6.Um den „SQUELCH”-Regler einzustellen, ein kleines Plastikwerkzeug (im Lieferumfang enthalten) in das mit „SQUELCH” gekennzeichnete Loch an der Rückseite der Einheit setzen und es langsam drehen, um die Ausgangstonstärke über den Pegel des Hintergrundrauschens einzustellen. Wird er zu hoch eingestellt, wird dadurch die Reichweite des Systems reduziert. Ein zu niedriges Einstellen wird den Pegel unerwünschten Rauschens erhöhen.

VORSICHTSMASSNAHMEN

1.Lassen Sie das Mikrofon nicht auf eine harte Fläche fallen.

2.Klopfen Sie nicht mit den Fingern auf den Mikrofonkopf und blasen Sie nicht direkt in das

Mikrofon.

3.Verwenden Sie das Mikrofon nicht bei hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit und/oder hoher Temperatur, da das Mikrofon in diesem Fall beschädigt werden könnte.

BETRIEB DES HANDMIKROFON-SENDERS

1.Öffnen Sie das Batteriefach durch Drehung gegen den Uhrzeigersinn. Setzen Sie eine 9VBatterie gemäß der Polaritätsmarkierung in den Batteriehalter ein und schließen Sie das Batteriefach wieder.

2.Stellen Sie den Ein/Aus-Schalter auf die ON Position. Die „BATT”-LED sollte einmal kurz aufleuchten, wenn das Mikrofon eingeschalltet wird um anzuzeigen dass die Leistung des Mikrofons ausreichend is. Falls die „BATT”-LED ständig leuchtet, ist die Kapazität der Batterie erschöpft und sie sollte ausgetauscht werden. Wenn die „BATT”-LED überhaupt nicht aufleuchtet und das Mikrofon arbeitet nicht, is die Batterie völlig leer. In diesem Fall sollten

Sie die Batterie austauschen. Wenn Sie das Mikrofon einen längeren Zeitraum nicht benutzen, sollte der Schalter auf „OFF” gestellt und die Batterie entfernt werden. Schalten Sie den Schalter nicht schnell ein und aus, weil man dadurch von der „BATT”-LED keine wahre

Anzeige erhält.

BETRIEB DES LAVALIER-GÜRTELSENDERS

1.Öffnen Sie das Batteriefach, indem Sie die Abdeckung in Pfeilrichtung schieben. Setzen Sie eine 9V-Batterie gemäß der Polaritätsmarkierung in den Batteriehalter ein und schließen Sie das Batteriefach wieder.

2.Stellen Sie den Ein/Aus-Schalter auf die „ON“-Position. Die „LOW BATT“-LED sollte einmal kurz aufleuchten, wenn der Schalter über die „MUTE“-Stellung bewegt wird um anzuzeigen, daß die Batterieleistung ausreichend ist. Falls die „LOW BATT“-LED ständig leuchtet, ist die
