Hardware installation
Make sure HDD is set to the Master mode
Connect IDE connector to the HDD
Connect AC power to the HDD
Connect cable to the USB port of computer
Driver installation
Window98: Insert Driver CD into your CD-ROM drive and launch: D:\window98\setup.exe before you connect the
cable to your computer
Windows 2000/ME/XP: there is no need to install any driver
Mac 8.6 or higher: copy Gene USB SATA/IDE_05E3_0702. sit to desktop and double click it to extract the driver f ile.
Then copy the driver file to [Syste m Folder] [Extensions]. After that, connect cable to computer and reboot the system

Disconnect the cable from the system
Click the hot-swap icon in the system tray with your right mouse button, and stop the device
Now it is safe to disconnect the cable
After that you can disconnect the power supply
