Selecting the default audio device

Generally, the Windows operating system will automatically
select any new audio device as the new default audio device.
This may or may not be your preference, depending how to use
your computer. You may prefer to have your normal computer
sounds directed to your current audio device, rather then the
speaker on the phone, and only use the audio functionality in
the phone for VoIP calls.
To change the default audio device in Windows, open the
Control Panel and select "Sounds and Audio Devices" and select
the "Audio" tab. You should see a window similar to that:

Notice that the default device for sound playback is currently set
to "Generic USB Audio Device". This is the name that Windows
assigns the USB phone. To change your default audio device to
your original sound card, simply click on the drop-down list box
and select your preferred device. You may want to do the same
for the sound recording devices, particularly if you have a
microphone already connected to your current sound card.

After you have selected your desired default playback
device, simply press "OK" to close the dialog box.
