Thank you for buying the Gembird® Multimedia keyboard! This manual will help you install and use it properly. KB-200M is a Multimedia keyboard with PS/2 or USB interface with the following main features:

Keyboard installation
USB Connection
Please plug the rectangular USB connector into your computer's rectangular USB
port
PS/2 Connection
1. Turn off the computer power
2. Attach the purple USB-to-PS/2 adapter (if available) to the USB
connector, and then plug it into the computer's purple PS/2 keyboard
port

Software Installation
Caution: If you have previously installed other keyboard or mouse drivers on your
computer, please uninstall them first.
Please make sure that the keyboard is properly connected to the computer
Click "OK"

When installation finishes, please reboot your system
After the system has been rebooted, an icon will appear in the system tray, in
the bottom right corner of your screen. The icon indicates that the driver software has been installed successfully
Note: If you wish to remove the driver, please go to the following directory: START/PROGRAM FILE/Media & Office Keyboard/, and select "Uninstall" to remove the software.
Keyboard hotkeys
The Multimedia keyboard has 18 hotkeys.
BACK : Go back to the previous web page
FORWARD : Go to the next web page
STOP : Stop default web browser from loading or refreshing a web page

REFRESH : Update the contents of the current web page of the default web
browser
SEARCH : Open the "Find "window in the START menu
FAVORITES : Open the "Favorites" group
WEB/HOME : Start your default browser and go immediately to your Home
Web page
MAIL : Start the default E-mail program
PLAY/PAUSE : Play or pause the default media player
STOP : Stops the media
PREVIOUS TRACK : Go to the previous track of the default media
player
NEXT TRACK : Go to the next track of the default media player
MEDIA : Start the music CD player or Microsoft Windows Media Player
application
VOLUME DOWN : Press and release, or press and hold to decrease the
volume
VOLUME UP : Press and release, or press and hold to increase the

volume
MUTE : Mutes all sound. Press again to resume the sound
CALCULATOR : Start the "CALCULATOR" program
MY COM PUTER : Open the "My Computer" window
SLEEP : You can put the system into sleep mode, if the PC supports power
manageme nt. If power management is not enabled, this key will not work
WAKE UP : Exit sleep mode, and return to normal mode
Note: Most hot keys may be re-configured to start other applications or Web pages. Please
refer to "How To Redefine The Hot Keys" for more detail.
How To Redefine The Hot keys
First, you will need to install the "Media & Office Keyboard" software, see section Install Software above.
Once installed, you will see a Keyboard icon
at the bottom right of your screen. This
icon will appear every time you start the computer.

The Hot Keys are already set up once you have installed the driver. If you want to re-define the Hot Keys, you will have to click on the Keyboard icon at the bottom right of your screen.
The Keyboard Properties window will open. Select the "Function" tab at the top of the window. You will see the following screen:
Now select the Hotkey you would like to redefine, and click "Modify". The following screen will appear:

Apart from the default function, you can redefine the Hotkey to view a certain Web Site or to perform a Shortcut.
Web Site: Please select the Web Site and enter the required web address and click "OK". Now click "Apply" to save the new Hotkey setting.
Shortcut: To assign a program, command or other function, please select the Shortcut option. Enter the Name and Path to the software you wish to be launched or alternatively select Browse to search for the correct software. Click "OK" to confirm and "Apply" to save the Hotkey.
Note: Not all the hot keys on the keyboard can be redefined. Only those hot keys that appear in the window may be redefined.
