Thank you for buying our FM56K-1 internal fax-modem! This manual will help you install it
properly. FM56K-1 is an internal 56k fax-modem built on Conexant chipset.

Features:

• Conexant (Smartlink) chipset, easy to install

• Supports plug-and-play, fax/data function

• Professional surge protection circuit

• Compatible with Windows98/ME/2000/XP

• V.42MNP2-4 and MNP10 error correction function

• V.42bis and MNP5 data compression

• Fax modem send/receive rates up to 14400bps

• DTE interfaces with speed up to 115.2Kbps

• Compatible with Hayes AT commands sets

• Compliant to PCI 2.1

System requirements:

• CPU: Pentium 200 MHz and above

• Memory: 32Mbytes or more

• HDD space: 2Mbytes or more

Hardware installation

To install the fax-modem it is assumed that you should have some basic experience in
installing the hardware and software on PC. In case of difficulties, please, contact a qualified
person to help you with the installation.
