Welcome and thank you for buying YuuWaa®. This user manual will help you to get the most out of your ﬂash drive and access YuuWaa® online services.

Online storage, backup and sharing services are included for FREE for a 6 month period without obligation to renew

Getting started

Just 3 steps to access your Digital Data Universe

1. Plug in your YuuWaa® ﬂash drive into your

computer. Make sure your computer is connected to the internet.

2. Click OK, to launch YuuWaa

3. Activate your account. (Figure 2)

• Create a password of your choice or click

on “Generate password”. If you click on “Generate password”,

will create a password for you

YuuWaa and send you an email containing your password information. You can at anytime change your password.

• Enter a valid email address.

• Enter the Product Registration Number,

which you will ﬁnd on your YuuWaa attached to the back page of this User Manual.

• Please tick on the box, to indicate that you

have read and accept YuuWaa’s Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.

Once the registration is completed, the YuuWaa icon will appear in your taskbar which is located in the lower right hand side of your computer. Access to your Digital Data Universe is possible by double clicking the YuuWaa

You can now access your Digital Data Universe anytime, anywhere.

The ﬁrst backup of your YuuWaa® ﬂash drive will be launched automatically. If you decide to cancel the activation of your account, you still have a possibility to perform it later on, by right clicking the YuuWaa your taskbar and then on “Activate”.

Access YuuWaa® Digital Data Universe

There are two ways to access your YuuWaa® Digital Data Universe:

• With your ﬂash drive:

Just Plug in your YuuWaa your PC, right click the YuuWaa taskbar and click on “My Account”. If you have conﬁgured your YuuWaa ﬂash drive in a way that you are always requested to enter your password, you must therefore enter it. (Figure 4)

• Without your ﬂash drive: Go to www.yuuwaa.com, click on Login, located on the top right hand side and enter your email address and password.

When the YuuWaa® ﬂash drive is inserted into a computer, a taskbar icon appears. (Figure 3). To bring up the menu, right click the YuuWaa icon. The menu has the following options (Figure 5):

• My Account: Direct access to your Digital Data Universe. The place where you can manage all your data whether from your ﬂash drive, your PC or your Online Storage space.

• Backup now: Backup your YuuWaa ﬂash drive automatically.

• Explore: To explore your ofﬂine data (PC, ﬂash drive).

• Preferences: To set up your account access, backup, connections and language preferences.

• Eject: To end your session with YuuWaa Please click on the “Safely Remove Hardware” icon safely remove your ﬂash drive.

• Help: To access YuuWaa (Online resources, FAQ, Contact us and Call Center).

Setting up your Preferences

You have the possibility to change your default settings by right clicking the YuuWaa and by selecting “Preferences”. (Figure 6)

• Account Access:

- Select “Password” if you wish to enter your password every time you connect to your Account via your YuuWaa

- Select “Automatic” if you wish to automatically access your Account when using your

ﬂash drive.

• Back up Settings: Set up your backup

preferences, by choosing automatic or manual backup. For automatic backup, choose your frequency: 1 min, 5 min, 15 min, 30 min or 1 hour.

Connections

• Local Area Network (LAN) settings:

Please click on Settings to specify the IP address of the Proxy server. LAN settings do not apply to dial-up connections.

Language

• Select your preferred language (English,

French, German).

YuuWaa® offers three main services (Figure 7):

• Store: Easily and securely store your digital

data available anytime, anywhere.

• Backup: Automatically backup your

ﬂash drive for emergency recovery.

• Share: Quickly and easily share your digital

ﬁles or memories with family, friends and co-workers.

How to store

1. Select the documents or folders you want to save online from your USB ﬂash drive or from your PC.

2. Drag and Drop the ﬁles on to your online storage space (Figure 8).

3. A progress bar will inform you on the upload status and will automatically close once the upload is completed.

How to backup

1. YuuWaa® will automatically and periodically backup your ﬂash drive ﬁles online upon connection of your YuuWaa your backup is completed, the pop-up conﬁrmation “Backup successful” will appear (Figure 9).

2. You will now be able to recover your ﬁles online in your Digital Data Universe and never worry about loosing your data again.

3. You can decide not to activate the automatic backup or change the frequency of the backup by setting up your Preferences.

4. To launch a manual backup, right click the

icon in the taskbar, select “Backup

How to share

1. First of all you need to create your Contacts. This is done by clicking on the “Add Contact”

button, and by completing the information:

First name, Last name and email address.

2. Select the data stored want to share with your family or friends.

3. Just Drag and Drop the selected ﬁles on to your chosen contact (Figure 11). You can also right click the selected ﬁles and click on “share” in the menu, then select your contacts.

4. A popup will appear, allowing you to:

- add additional contacts

- write a message to the recipients

- set or not a password to protect the

access to the shared documents; if you set a password you will have to communicate it to the recipients

5. An email will be sent with a direct link to the shared documents.

6. Your contact can view or download the ﬁles when the direct link is clicked.
