Installation Precaution:

• Install SwichAir such that the required air ow for safe operation of
equipment is not compromised.

• Take precaution to avoid interference with the switch input power
cords when installing on a live unit.

STEP 1 Mount the channels to the rack using the two outside
holes of each channel. The channels do not attach to the back
side rack or to the network switches.

STEP 2 Mount de ector to rear of chassis using two 6/32 x ¼
pan head screw with washer and hex nut. Insert screw through
de ector and chassis attaching washer and nut from inside the
chassis.

STEP 3 Mount wipers to the outside of the chassis using four
6/32 x ¼ pan head screw. Wiper tabs are bent outward toward
the channels.

Slide Chassis
Between Channels

STEP 4 Slide chassis with de ector, wipers between the
channels and attach to the rack with customer provided cage
nut and screw.
