INTRODUCTION
Congratulations on your purchase of the ex•tend•it HDMI Splitter. Your complete satisfaction is very important to us.
Gefen’s line of HDTV switches, extenders, and splitters are designed to make your A/V
equipment use more comfortable, more productive and less expensive.
Gefen’s ex•tend•it HDMI Splitter is a distribution hub that sends the same video output
to two or more HDTV digital screens. It is a fl exible solution that accommodates multiple
displays. When two or more HDMI splitters are connected together, they can be used to
create a larger distribution.
The HDMI Splitter is connected using a HDMI cable from the HDMI source to the HDMI
splitter input. There are two HDMI outputs. HDMI output 1 is the primary connection and
is used for the main display. HDMI output 2 follows the main display.
Included is a TOSLINK output that will seperate the digital audio signal from the HDMI
input into TOSLINK form. This can be connected to any TOSLINK reciever for surround
sound.
The HDMI splitter is HDCP compliant.
The ex•tend•it line offers solutions for noise, space and security concerns, data center
control, information distribution, conference room presentation, school and corporate
training environments.

Connecting and Operating the HDMI Splitter
How to Connect the HDMI Splitter to your devices
1- Connect the supplied HDMI cable from the HDMI device into the HDMI Splitter Input.
2- Connect the cable from your fi rst display (monitor or projector) into the HDMI Out 1
slot in the back of the HDMI Splitter
3- Connect the cable from your second display (monitor or projector) into the HDMI Out
2 slot in the back of the HDMI Splitter.
4- Connect the TOLINK cable from your digital audio reciever into the Optical Out in the
back of the HDMI Splitter
4- Plug the 5v power supply into the HDMI Splitter.
5- Plug the 5v wallmount power supply into the wall outlet.

WARRANTY
Gefen Inc. warrants the equipment it manufactures to be free from defects in material
and workmanship.
If equipment fails because of such defects and Gefen Inc. is notifi ed within one
(1) year from the date of shipment, Gefen Inc. will, at its option, repair or replace
the equipment, provided that the equipment has not been subjected to mechanical,
electrical, or other abuse or modifi cations.
Equipment that fails under conditions other than those covered will be repaired at the
current price of parts and labor in effect at the of repair. Such repairs are warranted for
ninety (90) days from the day of reshipment to the Buyer.
This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties expressed or implied, including without
limitation, any implied warranty or merchantability or fi tness for any particular purpose,
all of which are expressly disclaimed.
