INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing the RMT-MATRIX-444 and/or the RMT-2-CAT5.
The RMT-MATRIX-444 is a powerful tool that can be used with the EXT-DVIKVM-
444. It will allow you to remotely switch your sources. If your remote station is located in another room, you can easily switch to another source by pressing one of the four pushbutton switches on the RMT-MATRIX-444. This box easily connects to the EXT-DVIKVM-444 by one CAT5e cable. You can use up to four RMT-MATRIX-444 units with the EXT-DVIKVM-444 to have the ability to switch at all four remote workstations.
The RMT-2-CAT5 now gives your Gefen 4x4 Matrix box the power of remote switching. The RMT-2-CAT5, in conjunction with up to four RMT-MATRIX-444 units, will extend your ability to manage your sources at each remote display. It will work with any of our 4x4 matrix untis listed below. Your remote switching is easily setup by using one CAT5e cable from the RMT-MATRIX-444 to the RMT2-CAT5, and then connecting the RMT-2-CAT5 to your matrix switcher by using a serial cable. You can now switch your sources at each display without ever having to switch locally again.
