INTRODUCTION

Congratulations on your purchase of the ex•tend•it 1x4 HD Digital Audio Splitter. Your
complete satisfaction is very important to us.

Gefen’s line of HDTV switches, extenders, and splitters are designed to make your A/V
equipment use more comfortable, more productive and less expensive.

Gefen’s ex•tend•it 1x4 HD Digital Audio Splitter is a distribution hub that sends the same
video output to two or more HDTV digital screens. It is a fl exible solution that accommo-
dates multiple displays. When two or more 1x4 HD Digital Audio Splitters are connected
together, they can be used to create a larger distribution.

The 1x4 HD Digital Audio Splitter is connected using a HDMI cable from the HD source
to the 1x4 HD Digital Audio Splitter HD input. DVI output 1 is the primary
connection and is used for the main display. DVI output 2-4 follows the main display.
The digital audio is connected with SPDIF or TOSLINK. The 1x4 HD Digital Audio
Splitter will convert the input audio into TOSLINK for the output.

The 1x4 HD Digital Audio Splitter is HDCP compliant.

The ex•tend•it line offers solutions for noise, space and security concerns, data center
control, information distribution, conference room presentation, school and corporate
training environments.
