INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing Gefen’ s 2x2 DVI DL Switcher. The 2x2 DVI DL Switcher switches
DVI, USB 2.0 and Audio between any combination of two computers.
The 2x2 DVI DL DVI Switcher allows you to easily switch between two cross-platform
extended desktop dual link DVI computers using just two dual link DVI displays, USB 2.0
keyboard and mouse. Dual link DVI uses all 24 pins of the DVI connector to achieve ultra
high video resolutions up to 3840x2400. USB 2.0 is the next generation of USB, capable
of sending data signifi cantly quicker than before. Video and control signals are “switched”
for each computer upon selection using Discrete IR Remote and Discrete Contact Closure
(RMT-2x2), providing you with an easy and ef fective method of accessing two computers
from one workstation without the hassle of networking.
You simply connect your Dual Link DVI displays and USB 2.0 keyboard/mouse to the
Switcher’s outputs. Then you connect your computers’ Dual Link DVI and USB ports to the
Switcher’s inputs using the supplied cables. From there, you select the computer you want
using the IR remote that comes with the unit. It allows you to switch seamlessly between
Macintosh or PC keyboard/video/mouse combinations.

HOW TO CONNECT THE 2x2 DVI DL SWITCHER
1- Connect the cables from your fi rst computer into the DVI 1.1, DVI 1.2, USB and
Audio inputs in the back of the 2x2 DVI DL Switcher.
2- Connect the cable from your second computer into the DVI 2.1, DVI 2.2, USB and
Audio inputs in the back of the 2x2 DVI DL Switcher.
3- Connect the monitors to the DVI Out 1 & 2 .
4- Plug the 5v power supply into the 2x2 DVI DL Switcher.
5- Plug the 5v wallmount power supply into the wall outlet.
6- Start your computers only after you’ve made all the connections.
7- Press select, to switch between Computer 1 or Computer 2. You can also switch
between sources using the RMT-2IR. Switch remotely using the optional RMT-2
contact closure remote control.

WARRANTY
Gefen Inc. warrants the equipment it manufactures to be free from defects in material
and workmanship.
If equipment fails because of such defects and Gefen Inc. is notifi ed within two (2) year
from the date of shipment, Gefen Inc. will, at its option, repair or replace the equipment,
provided that the equipment has not been subjected to mechanical, electrical, or other
abuse or modifi cations.
Equipment that fails under conditions other than those covered will be repaired at the
current price of parts and labor in effect at the time of repair. Such repairs are warranted
for ninety (90) days from the day of reshipment to the Buyer.
This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties expressed or implied, including without
limitation, any implied warranty or merchantability or fi tness for any particular purpose, all
of which are expressly disclaimed.
1. Proof of sale may be required in order to claim warranty.
2. Customers outside the US are responsible for shipping charges to and from Gefen.
3. Copper cables are limited to a 30 day warranty and cable must be free from any
scratches, markings, and neatly coiled.
