INTRODUCTION
Congratulations on your purchase of the ex•tend•it DVI Super Booster. Your complete satisfaction is
very important to us. Gefen’s line of KVM (Keyboard Video & Mouse), DVI, ADC, USB, switches,
extenders, converters and hubs is designed to make computer use more comfortable, more produc-
tive and less expensive. KVM switches allow access to multiple computers from a single keyboard,
while the extenders give the user control over a computer up to 330 feet away from the work area.
The ex•tend•it line offers solutions for noise, space and security concerns, data center control, infor-
mation distribution, conference room presentation, and school and corporate training environments.

Introduction
The ex•tend•it DVI Super Booster extends the length of any DVI cable by regenerating the DVI sig-
nal before it outputs to the DVI monitor or projector. The DVI Super Booster will clean out the digital
noise (sparkles) in your picture. The ex•tend•it DVI Super Booster is connected with a DVI (male to
male) cable from the computer DVI graphic port to the DVI Super Booster input. The DVI Super
Booster output uses a second DVI (male to male) cable to go from the output to any DVI display or
projector with a DVI connector. The box is placed near the display to remove any noise that has
been generated by a long DVI cable.

Connecting and Operating the DVI Detective
How to Connect the DVI Super Booster
1- Connect the long DVI cable from the source into the “DVI In” on the front of the DVI Super
Booster. The DVI Super Booster is placed next to your display to regenerate the DVI cable.
2- Connect a short DVI cable from the “DVI Out” connection in the back of the DVI Super Booster to
your display or projector.
3- Plug the 5v power supply into the DVI Super Booster.
4- Plug the 5v wall mount power supply into the wall outlet.
5- Adjust the equalization as needed for long cable runs

How to Connect the DVI Super Booster
1- Connect the long DVI cable from the source into the “DVI In” on the front of the DVI Super
Booster. The DVI Super Booster is placed next to your display to regenerate the DVI cable.

WARRANTY
Gefen Inc. warrants the equipment it manufactures to be free from defects in material and work-
manship. If equipment fails because of such defects and Gefen Inc. is notified within two (2) years
from the date of shipment, Gefen Inc. will, at its option, repair or replace the equipment, provided
that the equipment has not been subjected to mechanical, electrical, or other abuse or modifica-
tions. Equipment that fails under conditions other than those covered will be repaired at the current
price of parts and labor in effect at the time of repair. Such repairs are warranted for ninety (90)
days from the day of reshipment to the Buyer.
This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties expressed or implied, including without limitation,
any implied warranty or merchantability or fitness for any particular purpose, all of which are expressly disclaimed.
Notice:
1. Proof of sale may be required in order to claim warranty; 2. Customers outside the
US are responsible for shipping charges to and from Gefen, and 3. Copper cables are limited to a
30 day warranty and cable must be free from any scratches, markings, and neatly coiled.
