the doors and cabinet are necessarily small.
Be careflfl closing doors when children are
in the area.
:)_In refl'igerators with automatic icemakers,
avoid contact with the moving parts of the
ejector mechanism, or with the heating
element that releases the cubes. Do not place
fingers or hands on the automatic icemaking
mechanism while the refl'igerator is plugged in.
:)_Unplug tile refl'igerator befln'e cleaning and
making repairs.
NOTE: We strongly recommend that any servicing be
performedbya quafifiedindividual
i)::Tm'ning the control to the O position does
not remove power to the light circuit.
:_1)Do not refl'eeze ti'ozen toods which have
thawed completely.
A DANGER! RISK OFCHILD ENTRAPMENT
PROPERDISPOSALOFTHEREFRIGERATOR
Child entrapment and suffocation are not
problems of the past..Iunked or abandoned
refl'igerators are still dangerous...even if they
will sit tOT "just a few days." If wm are getting

Refrigerants
All refl'igeration products contain refl'igerants,
which trader fl_(leral law must be removed I)_i,c,r
to product disposal. If you are getting rid of an
old refl'igeration product, check with the
company handling the disposal about what
to (h).
USEOFEXTENSIONCORDS
Because of potential safety hazards under certain conditions, we strongly recommend against
the use of an extension cord.
However, if you must use an extension cord, it is absolutely necessarx that it be a UiAisted,
3-wire gromMing type appliance extension cord haxing a ,gr°unding, tX,'l)e l)lug, and outlet and
that the electrical rating of the cord be 15 amperes (minimum) and 120 xolts.

WARNING!
HOWTOCONNECTELECTRICITY
Do not, under any circumstances, cut or remove the third (ground) prong from the power cord.
For personal safety, this appfiance must be properly grounded.
The power cord of this appliance is equipped
with a 3-prong (grounding) plug which mates
with a standard 3-prong (grounding) wall outlet
to minimize the possibility of electric shock
hazard from this appliance.
Have the wall outlet and circuit checked bv a
qualified electrician to make sure the outlet is
properly grotmded.
V(here a standard 2-prong wall outlet is
enc(mntered, it is y(mr pers(mal resp(msibility
and obligati(m t() have it replaced with a
properly grounded 3-prong wall outlet.
The refrigerator sh(mld always be plugged into
its own individual electrical outlet which has a
voltage rating that matches the rating plate.
This provides the best peril)finance and also
prevents overh)ading house wiring circuits which
could cause a fire hazard fl'om overheated wires.
Never unplug your refrigerator by pulling on the
power cord. Always grip l)lug firmly and pull
straight ()tit fi'Oi/l the outlet.
Repair ()r replace immediately all power cords
that have bec()me frayed ()r otherwise damaged.
Do not use a cord that shows cracks or abrasion
damage along its length ()r at either end.
When moving the refrigerat()r away ti'()m the
wall, be careflll not to roll over or damage the
power cord,
USEOFADAPTERPLUGS
Because of potential safety hazards under certain conditions, we strongly recommend against
the use of an adapter plug.
Howevei; if you must use an adaptei; where local
codes pem_it, a temporary connection may be made
to a properly grounded 2-prong wall outlet by use
of a UIAisted adapter available at most local
hardware stores.
The larger slot in the adapter must be aligned
with the larger slot in the wall outlet t() provide
proper polari U in the c(mnection of the power
CO I'd.
If the adapter ground tem/inal breaks, DO NOT
USEthe refrigerator until a proper ground has
been established,
Attaching the adapter ground terminal to a waft outlet
coverscrew doesnot ground the appliance unless the
coverscrew is metal, and not insulated, and the waft
outlet is grounded through the house wiring. Youshould
have the circuit checked by a qualified electrician to
make sure the outlet is properly groundec_
When disconnecting the power cord fl'om the
adaptei; always hold the adapter in place with
one hand while pulling the power cord plug with
the other hand. If this is not done, the adapter
ground terminal is very likely to break with
repeated use.
