WARNING - Whenusing
this appliance, always exercise basic safety
precauOons, including the following:
• Use this appliance only for its intended
purpose as described in this Owner's Manual.
• This refrigerator must be properly installed
in accordance with the Installation

CFCs are believed to harm stratospheric ozone.
If you are throwing away an old reffigera0on

Cleaning the
condenser
Preparing"
for vacation
There is no need for routine condenser
cleanings in normal home operating
environments. However, in environments
that may be particularly dusty or greasy,
the condenser should be cleaned (at least
annually) for efficient refiigerator operation.
To clean the condenser:
1. Turn off tim power at tim circuit breaker
or fllse box. Wait about 30 minutes for
the condenser area to cool.
2. Raise the grille panel at tim top of tim
refligeratoL
3. Use a soft bristle brush to loosen dust and
lint on the condenser fins. Use a vactltlii1
hose to remove soil.
4. I,ower the grille panel.
5. Turn the power on at the fllse box or
circuit breakeL
For long vacations or absences, remove food
and shut off power to tim refligerator at tim
filse box or circuit breaker. Clean the interior
(see Cleaning Inside). I,eave doors open.
For shorter vacations, remove perishable foods
and leave controls at regular settings. However,
if the room temperature is expected to drop
below 60°F (16°C), follow the same instructions
as for long vacations.
Preparing"
to move
Secure all loose items such as grille, shelves
and drawers by roping them securely in place
to prevent damage.
Set the icemaker power switch to the 0 (off)
position and be sure to strut off the water
supply to tim refligeratoL
Be sure the refrigerator stays in an upright
position during moving.
