8. Pull off the styrofoam pieces on the right wall and front
right corner. Discard both pieces. Wipe walls and compartment ceiling dry. Install insulated pieces as marked for each location. Peel backing and press pieces onto the right and left sides, rear and front. Next place top ceiling piece, being sure not to cover mounting screw hole on the left side. Note: The top, front and rear front pieces are sized to fit 48" wide models. Cut along dotted cut line for 36" and 42" models.
Place front, back and side pieces. Place top piece last.
9. Replace styrofoam
piece with new foam piece supplied. Position the styrofoam against the front inside corner, flush with the ceiling and front wall.

7. Remove foam behind the evaporator, at left rear corner.
Remove screw at the top left side of the evaporator. Pull evaporator down and away from the ceiling.

10. Cut a notch out of
the bottom corner of the evaporator header plate. This will allow the new drain pan to fit evenly in that corner.

11. Press insulation pieces onto the top and front side
plates on the left side of the evaporator. Press insulation piece on rear plate (if not present). Open the eyelet slot for the mounting screw.
17. Push drain pan assembly up and against the bottom of
the evaporator. The bottom of the styrofoam drain pan must be evenly aligned with the bottom of the insulating styrofoam on the right side wall. Use insulated tape along the bottom to seal gap between these pieces.

12. Reinstall evaporator screw in the top left side. Grasp
evaporator at the bottom with both hands, push up to the ceiling, engage the eyelet screw and push as far left as possible. Tighten eyelet screw to hold in place. Reinstall foam block in the left rear corner.
13. Maintain at least 3/16" clearance between evaporator
coils and styrofoam on the right side wall to prevent moisture transfer.

18. Secure drain hose in the machine compartment with
original clamps. Check to be sure the hose will discharge into the compressor drain pan.
19. Secure new ground wire to front of freezer cabinet in
the same location as original wire.
20.
Note: Orange jumper wire not used on models pro-
duced after Oct. 1994.

14. Check PermaGum and/or RTV sealer where the heat
exchanger enters the evaporator wall. Check wires in the grommet, push PermaGum between the wires for a complete seal.
15. Cut tubing length on the drain pan hose at designated
marks for 36" and 42" wide models. Hose is sized to fit 48" wide models.

22. Install insulation piece on the back side of the evapora-
tor fan support (trim on dotted line for 36" or 42" models). Reinstall the panel.
23. Dry the drain pan under the compressor in the machine
compartment. Fill squeeze bottle with tap water. Insert bottle up and into the fan panel opening. Squeeze about half of the water onto the evaporator. Check to see if water flows into the compressor drain pan. Continue adding water until it flows into the pan. If the entire water bottle is needed to create the flow, the drain pan is not installed at the correct slope and must be repositioned.

25. Reinstall freezer rear panel (plenum) and icemaker.
Check to be sure icemaker fill tube is positioned correctly over the fill cup.
26. Reinstall light shield or ice bucket depending on the
model.
FINAL INSTALLATION and CHECKLIST:
Again, check PermaGum seals on the heat exchanger, wire
grommet and drain tube hole on the machine compartment side.
Check to be sure that drain tube is secured with clamps and
discharges into the compressor drain pan.
Connect power.
Install front grille panel cover.
Turn temperature control to position 5.
Wait to verify that evaporator fan is running. Allow several
minutes for the evaporator fan delay to reset.
24. Reinstall the evaporator fan/motor assembly. Check for
proper rotation and clearance.
