GUIDE FORM SPECIFICATIONS
WALLMOUNT TM 400 LUMINAIRE
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The totally enclosed, weather-resistant luminaire designated
_______ (identify) shall be a GE WALLMOUNTTM 400 luminaire,
ordering number _______ (specify WMTS, plus ordering number
logic from catalog) or approved equal, to operate one _______
(specify [250 or 400] watt high pressure sodium [HPS] or metal
halide mogul base lamp from a nominal _______ (specify 120,
208, 240, 277 or 480) volt , 60 Hertz power source. The luminaire shall include a completely prewired integral ballast and
an optical assembly. The luminaire shall be
UL/cUL Listed SUITABLE FOR WET LOCATIONS. The luminaire
shall be cUL for 120X347 volts. Standard construction is IP55.
MECHANICAL CONSTRUCTION
The luminaire shall include a die-cast aluminum mounting
plate, housing, and removable side-hinged door with glass
refractor sealed to it providing complete front access to ballast
and lamp. Die-cast aluminum surfaces shall have a dark bronze
paint finish. Multiple junction box mounting patterns shall include provisions for 3-¼-inch (83 mm) octagonal or 2x4-inch
(51x102 mm) rectangular junction box. The luminaire shall have
provisions for a field-installed photoelectric control kit .
OPTICAL ASSEMBLY
The optical assembly shall have an anodized aluminum reflector with an Alzak✝ finish, impact/heat-resistant tempered prismatic borosilicate refractor and a heavy-duty mogul base E39
socket.
BALLAST OPERATION
The luminaire shall have a standard Autoreg ballast*. The ignitor (for HPS only) and ballast shall be prewired to the lamp
socket requiring connection of power supply leads only. The
ballast shall be in full compliance with lamp-ballast specifications available to the fixture manufacturer from the lamp
manufacturers at the time of fixture manufacture.
The ballast shall reliably start and operate the lamp in ambient
temperatures down to -20
