These Instructions do not purport to cover all details or
variations in luminaire nor to provide for every possible
contingency to be met in connection with installation,
operation or maintenance. Should further information be
desired or should particular problem arise which are not
covered sufficiently for the purchaser’s purpose, the
matter should be referred to General Electric Company.
I. GENERAL
This luminaire has a beautiful outline, be compact,
lightweight and easy to use. It also has the features of
soft light, safety and high efficiency. It is main designed
for indoor lighting application, and should not be used in
areas of limited ventilations, or in high ambient
temperature enclosures. It is suitable for mounting on a
normally flammable surface. Best results will be obtained
if installed and maintained according to the following
recommendations. Please refer section III for the
application limitation details.
The Manufacturer has made every effort during the
design and construction stages to make its products
completely free of risks when correctly used. Note
however that accident prevention and safety regulations
stipulate that the users of the product is obliged to ensure
that all persons involved in servicing, installing, handling,
using or selling the products are familiar with the
information supplied by the Manufacturer and fully aware
of any precautions that must be adopted. Depending on
the circumstances, the instructions in this document must
be communicated, together with any other information
that may be necessary, to any Company or person
involved in the installation of GE lighting products.
II. UNPACKING
The luminaire has been properly packed to avoid damage
during transit. Inspect the luminaries to confirm there is
no damage. Do not install a damaged luminaire or
damaged luminaire components.

WARNING
CAUTION FOR ELECTRIC SHOCK/RISK OF BURN/PROPER
INSTALLATION
Non-professionals are not allowed to operate. Shut
off the power before maintenance.
Risk of burn, allow lamps/fixture to cool down
before handling.
III. APPLICATION NOTICE
PLEASE APPLY THE PRODUCT ACCORDING TO
FOLLOWING STATEMENT
This is a fixed general-purpose luminaire mounted with
fluorescent lamp, which can be used for interior installation,
or connect to a series. Application can be in kitchen,
shopping market & office building.
VI. INSTALLATION
WARNING
Ensure this manual is provided to the installers
and users;
Cut off the power before installation and
maintenance;
If series connection is applied, the luminaire
quantities must be not more than 10.
This fixture is only used for indoor, under no
circumstances be used in high temperature and
high humidity environment.
CAUTION
Risk of Injury
Luminaire may fall down if not installed properly,
follow installation instructions
Ware safety glasses and proper aid during
installation and maintenance
TOOLS/ACCESSRIES YOU WILL NEED
Screwdriver – (6~12mm): Used for drive the screw in for
the mounting
INSTALL LUMINAIRE
1. Install Luminaire
The luminaire can be installed at a fixed surface with two
brackets. (See Fig.1)
Step by Step:
1) Confirm the installation room, and refer to section VI
the size of luminaire.
2) Install the two brackets to fixed surface with screws
of provided. (Ensuring that the screws don’t touch any
obstructions such as cables, water pipes, etc.)
3) Fix the luminaire to the two brackets directly.
4) Adjust luminaire to desirable position.
5) Refer to section V for installation of lamp.
2. Series connection
Fixture can be connected by two ways, and the maximum
allowable connection quantity is 10 pieces. (See Fig.2)
Notice:
Luminaires suitable for direct mounting on normally
flammable surfaces.
V. MAINTENANCE/ LAMP REPLACEMENT
FAILURE PARTS NEED TO BE REPLACED IF YOU INSPECT
THE LAMP EXTINCT, FLICKING OR CYCLING. ORDER THE
REPLACEMENT PART INDIVIDUALLY. CONTACT THE
MANUFACTURES FOR THE MAINTENANCE SERVICE.
LAMP REPLACEMENT
Light output is also dependent on burning time of lamp. In
applications where light levels are critical, it may be
desirable to replace lamps before the end of life. Lamp
manufacturer can provide life curve datasheet of light
output
1) Shut off power.
2) Carefully remove the diffuser if have.
3) Use one hand to push the both side of end cap and
another hand release the cover. (See Fig.3)
4) Turn 90°and remove the lamps to be replaced.
5) Re-install the luminaire in line with the requirements
of qualified lamp.
6) Restore.
WARNING
Please note the lamp type, wattage shall be same
as the indication of the product label.
Cut off the power before installation, and let lamp
and fixture cool down.
The diffuser is frangible, cannot press hardly.
If lamp is handled, fingerprint, grease or oils should be
removed from lamp with isopropyl alcohol. This will
remove material that will cause whitish spotting, and
premature lamp failure. Dry lamp carefully with cotton or
clean cloth.
GE T5 Starcoat ™ lamp is recommended
