Installation Instructions for your new
Access Panel with return air grille
Before you begin - Read these instructions completely and carefully. IMPORTANT – OBSERVE ALL GOVERNING CODES AND ORDINANCES. Note to Installer – Be sure to leave these instructions with the Consumer. Note to Consumer – Keep these instructions with your Owner’s Manual for future reference.

Return Air Grille/ Access Panel
Frame and sheetrock and access hole to 27” wide and 55 3/4 tall. The bottom of the opening should be at the same level as the floor or subbase that the VAC unit is placed on. The chassis must fit thru this opening. The chassis is 23 1/2” wide and 32 1/4” or 47” tall (consult chassis specifications for actual dimensions).

Installation Instructions
STEP 1 Mounting the Hinge Bracket
Mount the hinge to the left side of the wall opening. The Side Bracket must be plumb (vertical).
Secure with four #8 x 1 1/4” pan head screws.
NOTE: Hinge tabs must point upward.
STEP 2 Mounting the Door on the Side Bracket
Install the door onto the Side Bracket.
Be sure that the access door had engaged the three tabs and the door is against the side mounting bracket.
STEP 4 Latch Bracket Installation
Attach the Latch Bracket to the opening.
Align the bottom of the bracket with the reference line.
Use 2 #18 x 1 1/4 screws.
DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN.
STEP 5 Installing the Latch Bracket
Slide the bracket upward and tighten the mounting screws.

Close the door. Draw a temporary horizontal reference line on the wall adjacent to the center of the latch mounting hole.

STEP 6 Adjust the Latch
NOTE: The latch mechanism
is factory mounted. The latch arm is adjustable
to provided secure, rattle-free installation. Install the filter.
1. Loosen the latch arm nuts
and latch arm and adjust as needed.
2. Tighten the latch arm nuts.
3. Install the filter on back of
acess panel.
