Installation Instructions for Inpro™ Seal Kit

For Severe Duty Motors Only

I. Remove the slinger from the drive
endshield
II. Slide the Inpro Seal over the shaft extension on the drive end until the seal rests firmly against the endshield inside the recessed slinger cavity. The O-ring on the OD of the seal goes against the motor. See Figure 3.
III. If the keyway extends under the O-ring of the Inpro Seal, the gap should be filled with RTV.
IV. RENAMEPLATING
A. Stamp the Inpro Seal identification letters “R2L” directly above the model number on the motor nameplate as illustrated below in Figure 2. On the 182-186 frame motors, the letters will not fit after the model number, so they should be stamped directly above the model number as shown below in Figure 1.
B Stamp your GE buyer identification letters at the far right of the motor nameplate after the date code. To secure your GE buyer identification letters, contact the Fort Wayne Customer Service Center at 1-800-327-4883.
C. Failure to stamp the GE buyer identification letters or the Inpro Seal identification letters on the nameplate VOIDS the warranty on the motor and its components.
