Installation Instructions for Inpro™ Seal Kit
For Severe Duty Motors Only
I. Remove the slinger from the drive
endshield
II. Slide the Inpro Seal over the shaft extension
on the drive end until the seal rests firmly
against the endshield inside the recessed slinger
cavity. The O-ring on the OD of the seal goes
against the motor. See Figure 3.
III. If the keyway extends under the O-ring of
the Inpro Seal, the gap should be filled with
RTV.
IV. RENAMEPLATING
A. Stamp the Inpro Seal identification
letters “R2L” directly above the model number
on the motor nameplate as illustrated below in
Figure 2. On the 182-186 frame motors, the
letters will not fit after the model number, so
they should be stamped directly above the
model number as shown below in Figure 1.
B Stamp your GE buyer identification
letters at the far right of the motor nameplate
after the date code. To secure your GE buyer
identification letters, contact the Fort Wayne
Customer Service Center at 1-800-327-4883.
C. Failure to stamp the GE buyer
identification letters or the Inpro Seal
identification letters on the nameplate VOIDS
the warranty on the motor and its components.
