VENTILATION

Normally, when the air is exhausted through the air exchanger,outdoor air is pulled into the housethrough normal
air passagessuchasarounddoorsandwindows.
NOTE: Keep the Air Exchangerclosedon exceptionally hot
or humid days.
NIGHT TIME OPERATION
During evening hours having reduced heat loads - set the
Selector on Low for very quiet operation, and the Temperature setting at mid-range (5 or 6).
AIR CIRCULATION
For air circulationandfiltering without cooling,selectFan Hi,
or Lo onthe SELECTOR switch.

Care and Maintenance

To adjust air direction, first remove front ~!illa {see instructions for grille removal in CARE and MAINTENANCE below), then
remove and reverse air deflector

To remove, press grille downward and pull

can then be removed for washing. Wash filter in hot, soapy water
just as you would ~ sponge. Squeeze dry. To reinstall, lay filter
in place on grille, then slide ends of wire retainer as far as
they’ll go into the upper retainer holes in grille. Depress wire
retainer behind locking clips at bottom of grille. Reinstall grille.
To replace, insert metal prongs at bottom of grille in the springs
at bottom of air conditioner, then release downward pressure.
This allows grille to lock into catches.

CLEANING THE AIR CONDITIONER
REMOVE PLUG FROM WALL RECEPTACLE.
Both the front and the rear of the roomside grille may be wiped
with a cloth dampened in a mild detergent . . . or a vacuum
cleaning brush may be used. Use care so as not to force the
movable louvers out of position. O’her areas behind the grille may be wiped or vacuumed taking care not to damage the coil fins. Cabinet
may be washed with mild soap or detergent and lukewarm water.
To assure continued peak efficiency, condenser coils (weather side of unit) should be checked periodically and cleaned if clogged with
soot or dirt from the atmosphere. Consult your service outlet for its recommendation of the method and frequency with which this service
should be performed in your ‘locality.
