IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

This product requires a three-i)rong grounded outlet.
The installer u/list i)erform a grouud coutiuuitv check

on the power outlet box before beginning the

installation to insm'e that the outlet box is properly
grotmded. If not properly grotmded, or if the outlet
box does not meet electrical requirements noted

(under EI,ECTRICAI, REQUIREMENTS), a qualified
electrician should be employed to correct any

deficiencies.

surface must be capable of supporting the cabinet load,
in addition to the added weight of this 63-85 pound
product, plus additional oven loads of up to 50 pounds
or a total weight of 113-135 pounds.

CAUTION: For personal safety, tiffs product

cmmot be installed in cabinet axrmlgements such as m_
islm_d or a pmthlsuia. It must be momlted to BOTH
a top cabinet AND a wall.

NOTE: For easier installation mid personal safety, it is

recommended that two people instaJl tiffs product.

You should have the wail receptacle and circuit checked

by a qualified electrician to make sure the receptacle is
properly grounded.

Where a staaldaaxi two-prong wall receptacle is

encountered, it is very hnportaut to have it replaced

with a properly grounded three-prong wall receptacle,
installed by a qualified electriciml.

NOTE: If w)u need to install ducts, note that the total

duct length of 3¼" x ] 0" rectangular or 6" diameter
round duct should not exceed 120 equivalent feet.

Outside ventilation requires a HOOD EXHAUST DUCT.
Read the tollowing careflflly.

NOTE: It is important that venting be installed using

the most direct route and with as few elbows as possible.

This enstu'es clear venting of exhaust and helps prevent
blockages. Also, make sure dampers swing freely and

nothing is blocking the ducts.

Exhaust connection:

The hood exhaust has been designed to mate with a
standard 3¼" x 10" rectangular duct.

If a rotmd duct is required, a rectangula>to-rotmd
transition adaptor must be used. Do not use less than

a 6" diameter duct.

Maximum duct length:

For satisfi_ctorv air movement, the total duct length of
3¼" x 10" rectangular or 6" diameter round duct should

not exceed 120 equivalent feet.

Elbows, transitions, wall and roof caps,

etc., present additional resistance to airflow and are

equivalent to a section of straight duct which is longer
than their actual physical size. When calculating the

total duct length, add the equivalent lengths of all
transitions and adaptors plus the length of all straight

duct sections. The chart below shows you how to
calculate total eqtfiwflent ductwork length using the

approximate tibet of eqtfiwflent length of some
typical ducts.

_Fold back all 4 carton flaps full) against carton

sides. Then careflfll} roll the oxen and carton oxer
onto the top side. The o_en should be restim,, _ in

_Pull the carton up and off the oven.

_The motmting plate is attached to the back of the

oxen. Remoxe the two screws holding it to the oxen.
The plate will be used as the rear wall template and
for motmting the oxen to the wall.

Your cabinets may have decorative trim that interferes

with the oven installation. Remove the decorative trim
to install the oven properly and to make it level.

THE OVEN MUST BE LEVEL
Use a level to make sm'e the cabinet bottom is level.

If the cabinets have a fl'ont overhang only, with no
back or side fi'ame, install the mortaring plate down

the same distance as the fi'ont overhang depth. This
will keep the oven level.

[]Measure the inside depth of the fi'ont overhang.

[] Draw a horizontal line on the back wall an equal

distance below the cabinet bottom as the inside
depth of the fi'ont overhang.

[]For this _'pe of installation with fl'ont overhang only,

align the motmting tabs with this horizontal line, not
touching the cabinet bottom as described in Step D.

wide space.

[]Use the mounting plate as the template for the rear

wall. Place the mortaring plate on the wall, making
sm'e that the tnbs are touching the bottom of the
cabinet or the level line drawn in Step C for cabinets
with front overhm_g. Line up the notch mid center line
on the mounting plate to the center line on the wall.

draw circles on the wall at holes A, B, (_ and D (see

Four holes must be used for mounting.

NOTE: Holes C and D are inside area E. If neither
C nor D is in a stud, find a stud somewhere in area E
and draw a fifth drcle to line up with the stud. It is

important to use at least one wood screw motmted
firmly in a stud to support the weight of the oven.

Set the mounting plate aside.
Drill holes on the circles. If there is a stud, drill a :_¢'

a stud, drill a :_" hole fin" toggle bolts.

Attach the plate to the wall using toggle bolts. At least
one wood screw must be used to attach the plate to a

wall stud.

_ Remove the toggle wings fl'om the bolts.
_ Insert the bolts into the mounting plate

through the holes designated to go into drwvall
and reattach the toggle wings to '_A"onto each bolt.

centered under the cabinet.

NOTE; We recommend using filler blocks if the

cabinet fl'ont hangs below tile cabinet bottom shelf.

IMPORTANT: If filler blocks are not

used, case damage may occur from over
tightening screws.

NOTE: When mounting tile

the two bronze metal screws provided.
Make sure that the damper pivots easily before

Attach the plate to the wall using toggle bolts. At
least one wood screw i/lust be used to attach the

plate to a wall sttld.

_ Remove the toggle wings fl'om the bolts.
_ Insert the bolts into the mounting plate through

the holes designated to go into dr}svall and
reattach the toggle wings to :Y," onto each bolt.

To use toggle bolts:

_ Place the mounting plate against the wall and

[] Rein ueva la caja que contiene las instrucciones de

instalaci6n, los filtros, el adaptador de escape, el
regulador de tiro, estante v la pequefla bolsa con
los elementos de instalaci6n. No rein uew_ la espmna
de poliestireno que protege el ffente del homo.

[] Pliegue hacia atrfis las alas de la caja. I,uego,

cuidadosamente mede el homo hasta que quede
apoyado sobre la parte superior. E1 homo deberfi
descansar sobre la espuma de poliestireno.

[] Tire de la caja hacia arriba v retfrela del homo.

del homo, I).emueva los dos tornillos que lo

encuentre el centro mediante el anfilisis de la pared

usando un clavo pequefio para darse cuenta de

Sus gabinetes podrfan tenet marcos de decoracidn
que interfieran con la instalacidn del homo.

Remueva los marcos decorativos para instalar el homo
apropiadamente y para hacer que quede nivelado.

EL HORNO DEBE QUEDAR NIVELADO.
Use tm nivel para cerciorarse de que el fondo del
gabinete estfi ni_elado.

Si los gabinetes tienen tm saliente fl'ontal solamente,
sin marco posterior o lateral, instale el plato de

montaje a la misma distancia de la proflmdidad
del saliente. Este mantendrfi el homo nivelado.

_Mida la proflmdidad interna del ti'ente del saliente.
_ Trace tma lfnea horizontal en la pared posterior a

tma distancia debajo del rondo del gabinete igual
a la proflmdidad interna del fl'ente saliente.

_Para este tipo de instalad6n con saliente fl'ontal

solamente, alinee las orejillas de montaje con la lfnea
horizontal, sin tocar el timdo del gabinete como se

describi6 en el Paso D.

IMPORTANTE: No agaacre ni use la mmfija de la
puerta durante la instalaci6n.

NOTA: Si su gabinete es de metal, use la arandela de
nildn ah'ededor del cable el0ctrico para evitar que el

NOTA: Recomendamos el uso de bloques de relleno si
el frente del gabinete cuelga por debajo del estante
del timdo del gabinete.

IMPORTANTE: Si no se usan bloques de relleno,
podrlan ocurrir dafios por apretar demasiado los

[] Pegue el homo a la parte superior del gabinete

insertando tres tornillos atttoalineables a tra\_s de
los agqjeros exteriores superiores del horno. (;ire

dos vueltas ('ompletas en cada tornillo. Cerciorese

de mantener el cable electrico estirado. Tenga
cuidado de no pellizcar el cable, especiahnente

cuando se monte al nivel del rondo del gabinete.

[] Aprlete totalmente los tres tornillos hacia el homo

superior. (Mientras aprieta los tornillos, mantenga
el homo en su lugar contra la pared ) el gabinete
snperior.)

COMO INSTALAR EL

FILTRO DE CARBONILLA

_Rem uexa los 2 tornillos en la parte superior de la

rejilla usando tm destornillador de estrella.

[2_ Abra la l>uerta 9() _.

[]Retire la reiilla.

en las ranm-as al interior de la abertura superior:

_ Instale los filtros de grasa. Vet el Manual del

Propietario clue xiene con el homo.

[] Empuje el fondo del filtro hasta que se acomode

en su lugar detrfis de las pestaflas de bloqueo.
Cuando se instala correctamente, la malla de
alambre del filtro debe set" xisible desde el fi'ente.

[] Reemplace la rejilla con los dos 2 tornillos.

_ Cierre la puerta.
