An obstructionispreventingthe lowerwasharm fromturning. This is usuallycaused by a utensil stickingthroughthebottom ofthe silverwarebasketor a pot handle throughthe lowerrack.
The dishwasheris taking longer than normal to drain the water
out.Thisisusuallycausedbya blockageinthedrainairgap(see
page21),a kinkinthedrainhose or a stopped-updrainpipe.
1. Unlatchdoor.
2. Checkthe lowerrack for any itemthat couldblock the washarm and repositionit.
3. Relatchdoor.
NOTE: If the washarm is not blocked and “BLOCKED WASH ARM” displaystillappears, youmaystartwashcycleby
pressingSTARTpada secondtime.
This dishwasherisdesignedto automaticallycompensate forlongerthan normal drain times, but cycletimewill be extended.If this code continuesto appear frequently:
1. Clean the air gap (see page21).

2. If yousee waterenteringthedishwasher,closeand latch the door. Shutoff the watersupplyto the dishwasher.
3. If waterisgoneand no wateris entering the dishwasher, restart cycle.
4. If C4 repeats, shut offthe water supplyto the dishwasher. Call for service.
This can be caused byeither of these reasons:
