A CAUTnON:
Make sure the dishwasher door is latched shut to prevent door from dropping when springs are removed.
Grasp the end of the spring at the rear of the dishwasher and release the hook.
Release opposite end of the spring and remove.
Step 4-Install new springs
Note: The open end of the spring hook should face the outside of the dishwasher to prevent spring coils from rubbing against adjacent cabinet wall.
STEP S-Check door balance
Open and close the door to check for proper balance. Correct spring tension should prevent the door from rising bg itself from a full open position and prevent the door from falling
heavilg. If the door falls heavilg, increase the spring tension bg moving one spring back to the next hole.
- Test balance again. Move the opposite spring back if necessarg. If more tension is required, move one or both
springs to the last hole.
If the door riseson its own, from a full open position, decrease
the tension bg moving one or both springs forward.
