the dryer where it will be
exposed to the weather.
- Connect to a properly rated,
protectedand sized powersupply circuit to avoid
electricaloverload.
- Exhaustingto the outside is

c We stronglyrecommendthat
any servicingbe performedby a

. The wiring diagram for this
machine is located inside the
lower front access panel.
To minimize the possibility
of a fire hazard.
. Do not use heat to dry articles
containingrubber, plastic, or
similar materials(such as padded
bras, tennis shoes, galoshes,bath
mats, rugs, bibs, baby pants,
plastic bags, etc.) as these
materialsmay melt or burn. Also,
some rubber materials, when
heated, can under certain
circumstancesproduce fire by
spontaneouscombustion.
. Garmentslabeled “Dry Away
From Heat” (such as life jackets
containingKapok) must not be put
in your dryer.
. Do not wash or dry articles that
have been cleaned in, washed in,
soaked in, or spotted with
combustibleor explosive
substances(such as gasoline,
degreasers, dry-cleaningsolvents,
kerosene, etc.) which may give off
vapors that could ignite or
explode. Do not use such
substancesaround your washer
and/or dryer during operation.
. Any article on which you have
used a cleaning solvent, or which
containsflammablematerials
(such as cleaningcloths, mops,
towels used in beauty salons,

flammableliquids or solids and
their fumes have been removed.
There are many highly flammable

acetone, denaturedalcohol,
gasoline, kerosene, some
householdcleaners, some spot
removers, turpentines,waxes, wax
removers and products containing
petroleumdistillates.
c Clean the lint filter before each

. Do not tamper with controls.
. Do not operate this appliance if
it is damaged, malfunctioning,
partially disassembled, or has
missing or broken parts, including
a damaged cord or plug.
Dryer-AppliedFabric Softeners
or AntistaticConditioners
You may wish to soften your
laundered fabrics or reduce the
static electricityin them. We
recommendyou use either a
fabric softener in the wash cycle,
accordingto the manufacturer’s
instructionsfor those products,
or try a dryer-addedproduct for
which the manufacturer gives
written assurance on the-package
that their product can be safely
used in your drye~ Some of these
dryer-added softeners/conditioners have been found to cause:
● Clogging of lint filter, restricting
air flow necessary for the proper
functioningof the dryer.
s Coating of dryness sensors (on
dryers so equipped) which may
result in prolonged or erratic
drying cycles.
. Excessive lint build-up inside
the dryer and in the ducting. Such
lint build-up in the area of the
dryer heat source can possibly
result in ignition of the lint.

How tosort clothesfor drying
●
Normally, if you have sorted clothes
correctlyfor washing,you will also
have properly sorted drying loads.
Flere are some additionalsuggestions for good dryer load make-up:
Sort by surface texture
from
LINT PRODUCERS—suchas terry
towelingand chenille—giveup lint.
LINT COLLECTORS—suchas manmade fibers and napped fabrics
like velveteen and corduroy—
attract lint. These must be dried
separately.
In addition to sorting to reduce lint
collection,it is recommendedthat
fabrics of similar constructionbe
dried together whenever possible.

What is the difference
between Automatic&
Timed drying?
When using the AUTOMATICDRY
CYCLE, the AutomaticDry Control
system continuallysenses the
temperatureof the air in the dryer
drum. Wet laundry keeps this air
cool. When the drum air is warm
enough the heat turns off. When
the air cools, the heat turns back
on. This off and on cyclingmay
happen a number of times (depending on the fabric, load size
and Cycle Selector setting). The
Cycle Selector advances (when the
heat is off) until it automatically
turns off dryer.
Timed Drying
When using the TIMED CYCLES,
you select the number of minutes
you wish the dryer to run and it
turns off at the end of this time
period.

TO CORRECT WRINKLING:
Steps to remove stubborn wrinkles:
1. Retumble on “PermanentPress” setting (on models

2. Rerinse and dry on “PermanentPress” setting.
3. Some wrinkles may remain, these wrinkles cannot
be removed. *
*NOTE If you follow good laundry procedures and Permanent Press clothes still come out wrinkled, the finish may
not be good quality. Also, in permanentpress synthetic/cottonblends, the cotton portion of the fabric can eventually
wear away leaving only the synthetic. Since the cotton has resin finish that imparts the memory, a loss or decrease
