The ventdoorinyourair
conditionerisclosedwhenthe VENTpushbuttonisoutandtothe left.Whentheventisclosed,only the airinsidetheroomcanbe circulatedandconditioned.Pushing the VENTbuttoninandslidingit totherightopenstheventdoor,
allowingasmallamountofindoor airtobeexhaustedfromthe room.

1. SetSelectorSwitchatHICOOL.
2. SetThermostatControlat desirednumber(usuallythe midpoint isagoodstartingposition).Ifroom temperatureisnotsatisfactoryaftera
reasonabletime,setthe Thermostat Controlatahighernumberfora coolerroomoratalowernumber forawarmerroom.
3. BesureVENTdoor isclosed. VENTbuttonshouldbeout andto
theleft.

1. SetSelectorSwitchat LOCOOL.
2. SetThermostatControlat desirednumber.
WhentheThermostatControlisset on9or 10andtheFanissetonlow
speed,moisturemayfreezeonthe coilsandpreventthe unitfrom cooling.Ifthishappens,settheFan athighspeedandsettheThermostat Controltoalowernumber.
ForairCirculationand
fiRterhgwithoutCooting
SettheSelectorSwitchatLOFAN orHIFAN.
Themoisturethatyourairconditioner
removesfromtheairdtis totherear ofthecabinetwhereit ispickedup byafananddispersedagainstthe condenser.Occasion~y,morelikely duringstart-up,a “pinging”noise maybe heard.Thisisnormalfora
shorttimeinlesshumidareasand longerinveryhumidareas.This methodofmoistureremovalimproves theoperationalefficiencyofyour
airconditioner.
Note:Beforemovingyourair
conditionertoanotherlocation,
turnitoffandwait5or 10tinutes.
Thiswillallowthecondensateto
drainfromthecoilintothe base
pan.Then,keepingafirmgripon
theairconditioner,carefiUyraisethe
windowandtilt
theaircondfiioner
totileoutsidetodrainthewater
fromthebasepan.
