When youturn the Thermostat Controlto the desired setting,the thermostatwillautomaticWycontrol thetemperatureof theindo~rair. The higher the numberselected, thecooler the indoorair willbe.

The Energy SaverSwitch controls the fan operation. When it’sin the NORM position, the fanwill circulate room air continuously. When it’sin the SAVEposition, the fan will automatically cycleon and off with the compressor.

When the AIR IN and AIR OUT buttonsare in the outposition,the ventdoor is closed and onlythe air
insidethe room can be circulated and conditioned.
Pushthe AIR IN button and it will
stayin, and the ventdoor will open
to allowa smallamountof outdoor
air to enter the room. Pushthe AIR IN button again and it will return to the outpositionand the ventdoor will close.
Push the AIR OUT button and it
will stayin, and the ventdoor will open to allowair, smoke and odors to be exhaustedfrom the room. Push the AIR OUT button again
and it will return to the outposition and the ventdoor will close.

Wfrnormal cooling
1. SettheSelector Switchat HI COOL.
2. Setthe Thermostat Controlat thedesired number (usually5-7is a goodstartingposition). If room temperatureis notsatisfactoryaftera
reasonabletime, setthe Thermostat Controlat a highernumber fora cooler room or at a lowernumber fora warmer room.
3. SettheEnergy SaverSwitchat
NOW positionfor continuousfan operationor at SAVEpositionto automaticallycyclethe fm on and offwith thecompressor.
4. Be suretheAIR IN and ~ OUT buttonsare in the outposition exceptforbriefperiods when you wantto bringoutdoorair intothe roomor exhaustroomair to the
outside.

HI COOL.
2. Turn the Thermostat Control to 10.
3. Be surethe AIR ~ and AIR OUT buttons are in the out position.
4. Setthe Energy SaverSwitchat the NORM position.

1.Set theSelectorSwitchatLO COOLposition.
2. Turnthe ThermostatControlto thedesirednumber.
WhentheThermostatControlisset at 9 or 10andthe SelectorSwitchis setat 1.0 COOL, moisturemay freezeonthecoilsald preventthe unitfromcooling. If thishappens, settheSelectorSwitchatHI COOL and setthe ThermostatControlat 1or2.
3. Be sure theNR IN andMR OUT buttonsare intheoutposition.
4. Setthe Energy SaverSwitchat theNOW position.
Note: When the Energy Saver
Switchis at the SAVEposition, changesinthesoundlevelmaybe morenoticeablethan whenit’sat theNOW position.

During the cooler eveninghours, werecommendthat you setthe SelectorSwitchat LO COOL for very quietoperationand the ThermostatControlat mid-rmge (5 or 6). Be surethe~ IN and AIR
OUT buttonsare in the out position,and setthe Energy Saver Switchat NOW or SAVEposition.
Foretiremekmpemtures
For greatest economyand best performance, we suggestthatyou set the SelectorSwitch at HI COOL in extremely hotweather.

Grasp the tab at the bottomof the unit and pull downward.
C1eanthe filter with a vacuum cleaner to removelightdust. Wash
the filter in lukewarm, soapywater and rinse in clear water to remove sticky dust.
When replacingthe fi~ter,be sure the word FRONTTis facingyou as
you slide the filter back intoplace.

After cleaning, replace the air filter and air inletgrille, pushingthe grille intoplace.
