230/2[}8-voltmodels require their

This is recommended for best
performance and to prevent overloading house wiring circuits, which could cause a possible fire
hazard from overheating wires.

The ventdoor in yourair conditioneris closedwhen the

conditioned. Slidingthe switchto the rightopens the ventdoor, allowinga smallamount ofindoor air to be exhaustedfrom theroom.
Settingthe VentilationControl at OPEN letsroom air be exhausted to the outside. This ishelpfil in removingstale air, smokeor odors
from theroom, andpermitsoutdoor air to enterthrough normalopenings in the house. However, cooling
effectivenessis reduced whenthis control is setat OPEN, so wesuggest youdon’tkeep it there long—
especially in hot, humid weather.

When the Thermostat Control is seton 9 or @and the Fan isset on lowspeed, moisture may freeze
