Steam Conditioning Valve
GE’s Masoneilan standard 84002 Series SteamForm* Valve is a
cage guided, reciprocating angle body valve with an integrated
desuperheater portion. This integrated design enables accurate
and responsive steam pressure and temperature control in the
most demanding steam conditioning applications, such as steam
turbine bypass and process steam.
Key features include:
• High temperature capability with Class V shutoff
• Expanded outlet to accommodate the change in steam
density and minimize valve outlet noise
• Optional globe valve body design with integrated
desuperheater
Multi-Stage Lo-dB Trim
Staged pressure reduction by drilled hole cage with optional in-line
diffusers provides excellent noise and vibration attenuation.
Thermally Compensated Trim Design
Manages trim expansion and prevents binding. Quick change
configuration facilitates replacement and maintenance of trim
components.
Rapid Steam Temperature Control
Flow Profiler desuperheater technology enhances water mixing.
Spring loaded, variable geometry spray nozzle with a hollow cone
spray pattern provides precise temperature control.
Optional Features
For high level noise performance, V-log Energy Management trim
may also be utilized as a customized solution.
