When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed including
the following:
• Read all instructions.
• Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs. Care must be taken, as burns can occur
from touching hot parts or from spilled, hot liquid.
• To protect against fire, electric shock, and injury to persons do not immerse cord, plug or any
part of the percolator in water or other liquid.
• Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
• Unplug from outlet when the percolator is not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before
putting on or taking off parts and before cleaning the appliance.
• Percolator must be operated on a flat surface away from the edge of counter to prevent
accidental tipping.
• Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance
malfunctions or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Call our toll-free customer

• The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer
may result in fire, electrical shock or injury to persons.
• Do not use outdoors.
• Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter or touch hot surfaces, including the stove.
• Twist-off lid must be securely in place during perk cycle and when serving coffee.

• Scalding may occur if the lid is removed during the brew cycle.
• Do not place percolator on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.
• Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into wall outlet. To disconnect percolator,
remove plug from wall outlet, then unplug from percolator.
• WARNING! To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not remove the bottom cover. No
user serviceable parts are inside. Repair should be done by authorized service personnel only.
• Do not use appliance for other than intended use.

This appliance is for HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY. It may be plugged into an AC electrical outlet
(ordinary household current).
A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in
or tripping over a longer cord. Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are
available and may be used if care is exercised in their use. If a longer detachable power-supply
cord or extension cord is used;
1) The marked electrical rating of the cord set or extension cord should be at least as great as
the electrical rating of the appliance, and
2) The cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where
it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.
If the power-supply cord is a grounding-type-3-wire cord with a grounding prong on the plug,
the extension cord should also be a grounding-type-3-wire cord.
GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance must be grounded while in use to protect the operator from electrical shock. The
appliance is equipped with a 3-conductor cord and a 3-prong grounding-type plug to fit the
proper grounding-type receptacle. WARNING! Shock Hazard: If the plug on this appliance does
not fit in your outlet, do not modify the plug, and do not use an adaptor. Have an electrician
replace the obsolete outlet.
