EXTENSION CORDS
A short power-supply cord is to be provided to reduce the risk resulting from becoming
entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Longer detachable power-supply cords or
extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in their use. If a longer
detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used,
1) The marked electrical rating of the cord set or extension cord should be at least as
great as the electrical rating of the appliance, and
2) The cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop
where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.

This appliance must be grounded while in use.

The appliance has a plug that looks like Figure A. An adaptor, as shown in Figure B, should
be used for connecting a 3-prong grounding plug to a 2-wire receptacle. The grounding

• Remove all packaging material, labels, and/or stickers from your toaster. Make sure
there is no packaging material remaining in the toasting slots.
• Clean the toaster thoroughly before its first use ( Cleaning).
NOTE: Due to the manufacturing process, the toaster may emit a slight burning odor.
Let the toaster complete a few toasting cycles without food, until no odor or smoke
is present. Note:use the toaster in a well ventilated area and select 7 as the highest
setting.
Operating instructions
• Make sure no food or other objects are inside the slots (1). Place the toaster on a
flat, level, and heat-resistant surface.
• Make sure the crumb trays (11) are inserted properly (ill. a).
• Insert the plug (7) into a 120 V ~60Hz AC wall outlet.
• Remove any protective wrappings from foods before placing them in the slots (1). Do
not toast torn food. They may become lodged in the slots (1) (ill. j).

Adding the second slot pair
• While the first slot pair is in use, place food in the second slot pair (1) (ill. f).
• Adjust the browning setting for the second slot pair with the browning control knob
(12) (ill. c).
• Press down the lever
• The digital display (10) now shows and (9), alternating, and the toasting time of
the left and right slot pairs.
• The food will pop up after each timer for the left and right slot pairs reaches 0:00.
Simultaneous use of both slot pairs
• Place the food in both slot pairs (1) (ills. b and f).
• Choose the desired browning setting with the browning control knob (12) (ill. c).
• Press down both levers (2) simultaneously until they are locked (ill. h).
• The digital display (10) will light up and show the countdown timer (8) with and
(9) for simultaneous use of both slot pairs.
• The food will pop up simultaneously when the timer reaches 0:00.

Reheat

Defrost
• Place the frozen food in one of the two slot pairs (1) (ill. b).
• Select the browning level with the browning control knob (12) (ill. c).
• Press down the lever (2) until it is locked (ill. d).
• Press the Defrost button (5) within the next 5 seconds. The Defrost button
(5) lights up. The countdown timer (8) will appear together with or (9) to indicate
the slot pair in use.
• The food will pop up when the timer reaches 0:00.

• Cut the bagels or English muffins in half. Do not force bagel or English muffin into
slots. It may be necessary to cut food in slices to fit in comfortably (ill. j). Place
the bagel or the English muffin in the one of the slot pairs (1) (ill.

achieve a better result.
• Select the browning level with the browning control knob (12) (ill. c).

CLEANING
Clean the toaster regularly. This appliance contains no user serviceable parts and
