When using electrical appliances, in order to reduce the risk of fire, electric

Short Power Supply Cord Information
A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk of becoming entangled in
or tripping over a long cord. Extension cords may be used if care is exercised in
their use.
If an extension cord is used, the marked electrical rating of the extension cord
should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance. The cord
should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where
it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.
The extension cord must be a grounding-type 3-wire cord.
Grounding Instructions (Us Only)
This appliance must be grounded while in use to protect the operator from
electrical shock. The appliance is equipped with a 3-conductor cord and a 3-prong
grounding-type plug to fit the proper grounding-type receptacle. The appliance
has a plug that looks like sketch A. An adaptor sketch B, should be used for
connecting sketch-A type plug to two-prong receptacles. The grounding tab,
which extends from the adaptor, must be connected to a permanent ground such
as a properly grounded outlet box as shown in sketch C using a metal screw.
• Plug in and preheat for a few minutes before cooking for the first time
• Appliance may give off a fine smoke and a slight burning odor
HINTS AND TIPS
• A cooking spray may be used for cooking breads, lean meats, vegetables or fish. If
grilling marinated food or meat with any amount of fat, you do not need to use spray
• Any type of bread may be used on the Panini Grill, but a thick hearty bread is
recommended when cooking panini sandwiches
• It is not necessary to butter the outside of all breads as the appliance has
non-stick grilling plates. However adding a little butter is recommended for
even browning
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Place the grill on a dry, flat surface
2. Plug power cord into a 110-120V outlet
3. The Blue power light will illuminate and heat the grill.
4. When the temperature is reached (approximately 3-4 minutes) the green ready
light will come on
5. Place the food on the cooking plate
6. Remove the food when done with a plastic or wooden utensil
WARNING: SURFACE IN HOT. DO NOT TOUCH GRILLING SURFACE.
7. Unplug and allow to cool when not in use.
CLEANING
DO NOT IMMERSE UNIT IN WATER
1. Unplug unit and let cool before cleaning.
2. Use a damp cloth or sponge with soap and clean the top and bottom surface area.
Rinse and wipe again with only water. DO NOT USE ABRASIVE PADS OR HARD
OBJECTS TO CLEAN! DO NOT SCRAPE FORCEFULLY. USE MILD SOAP TO CLEAN.
3. If surface is hard to clean, reheat the unit. Unplug unit. Let it cool until it is
warm, then clean as stated above.
4. Properly dispose of grease in the grease tray. Rinse with warm, soapy water.
