Important Safety Instructions

This fan is for residential use only. It is not intended to be used in com
mercial or industrial settings.
1. Never insert fingers, pencils, or other foreign objects through the grill.
2. Disconnect fan when moving it from one location to another.
3. Be sure that the fan is on a stable surface when operating to avoid the chance of it overturning.
4. Disconnect fan when removing grill for cleaning. Reinstall grill before reconnecting to power supply.
5. WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or personal injury: a) Do not use this fan with any solid-state speed control device. b) Unplug fan before cleaning or servicing. c) If you disassemble your fan, completely reassemble before plugging
into outlet.
d) Do not use this fan in a window. Rain may create an electrical hazard.
For Your Safety
The AC power plug is polarized (one blade is wider than the other) and only fits into AC power outlets one way. If the plug won't go into the outlet completely, turn the plug over and try to insert it the other way. If it still won't fit, contact a qualified electrician to change the outlet, or use a different one.
Do not attempt to bypass this safety feature.

Assembly: Stand

1. Place base flat on floor.

Assembly: Head

Place head assembly onto notched end of tube snap area on rear of head assembly collar with the notch and catch on tube. Slide the head assembly down onto tube and press down firmly. You will feel a definite click when seated properly, and the head assembly will not turn.

2. Align triangular "" cut in the rear grill
with triangular post on top of front motor cover. Fully seat rear grill and se­cure with plastic nut, turning clockwise.

Operation

Oscillation: Push down oscillation knob on motor housing to make fan head move from side to side.
Tilting: This fan is equipped with a multi-angle fan head for whole-room air circulation. To properly adjust the "tilt angle" of your fan:
1. Place one hand on the pole just under the fan neck.
2. Place other hand on top of fan.
3. Gently push or pull the fan head until it is in the desired position.
Note: The ratchet assembly on the 16" Deluxe Ped­estal Fan with thermostat is designed for positive lock positioning. Therefore, when adjusting the fan angle, you will hear a clicking sound. This is normal.
Speed: Control fan speed with fan speed dial at far right of body. Thermostat: Adjust the thermostat dial so that the fan cools to a comfortable
level. The 16" Deluxe Pedestal Fan thermostat will automatically turn the fan off and on as the room temperature changes.

3. Slide blade onto motor shaft.
(Align groove on blade hub with pin on motor shaft.)
To secure blade, screw fan spinner onto shaft

4. Install ornament into front grill.
Insert tabs into rectangular slots. Snap into place.

5. With fan head in upright position, align ornament of front grill so it is
horizontal. Insert bottom of front grill into plastic rear grill. Tab at the bottom of plastic rear grill should fit over notch on front grill. Snap front grill into rear grill beginning at the bottom and working up both sides. Note: No grill clips are needed for assembly.
