operate dryer.
11. Do not direct hot air toward eyes
or other heat-sensitive areas.
12. Attachments may be hot during
use. Allow them to cool before handling.
13. Do not place appliance on any surface while it is operating.
14. While using the appliance, keep
your hair out of it. Keep your hair
away from the air inlets.
15. Do not use with voltage converter.
For a dual voltage hair dryer:

correct voltage position before operating. Before plugging in, read the
information about dual voltage contained in the instruction section of
this manual.
17. This appliance was set at the factory to operate at 125 volts. Refer to
Additional Information section of this
manual for conversion to 250 volts
operation.
IMPORTANT
1875 WATT OPERATING GUIDE
Use of any 1875 watt dryer on the
same circuit or fuse with other electrical products or appliances may trip a
15 amp circuit breaker or blow a 15
amp fuse.
NEVER replace the fuse with one
rated higher than the capacity of the
circuit. Doing so could result in an
electrical fire.

INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance is intended for household use only. Use on Alternating
Current (50/60 hertz) only. Standard
Dryers are designed to operate at 110
to 125 volts A.C.
This appliance has a polarized plug
(one blade is wider than the other).
As a safety feature, this plug will fit in
a polarized outlet only one way. If the
plug does not fit fully in the outlet,
reverse the plug. If it still does not fit,
contact a qualified electrician. Do not
attempt to defeat this safety feature.
CHECK ALCI SAFETY
FEATURE EVERY TIME
YOU USE APPLIANCE.
This appliance is equipped with an
Appliance Leakage Circuit Interrupter (ALCI), a safety feature that
renders it inoperable under some
abnormal conditions, such as immersion in water. To make sure the ALCI
is functioning properly, perform the
following test. The purpose of this test
is to allow you to make sure the water
sensing system (ALCI) is working.
1. Plug in the appliance and press test
button on plug (See appropriate diagram below).
2. The appliance will stop working.

3. To reset ALCI with a reset button,
units should be unplugged. Then
push in reset button, and reinsert
plug into outlet.
4. If ALCI is not functioning properly,
return appliance to place of purchase.
5. It is important that if immersion
occurs, this unit be brought to place
of purchase for exchange. Do not try
to reset.
6. Be sure to repeat test every time
you use the unit to confirm ALCI is
operational.
Should the appliance go off and the
reset button pop up during use, this
could indicate a malfunction in the
unit. Remove plug from outlet and
allow the appliance to cool. Reinsert
plug into outlet.
The appliance should function normally. If not, return to place of purchase for exchange.
SUPER STYLING GUIDE
Your best looks begin with a good
haircut that’s well maintained.
Shampoo and condition hair with the
products of your choice. Rinse thoroughly. Gently towel blot hair to
remove excess moisture. Part hair into
sections. Follow the instructions to
achieve your desired style.
DRYING BASICS
1. T o dry hair with or without the concentrator nozzle attachment, section
hair and direct hot air through a section of hair at a time. Move dryer
steadily across each section so that the
hot air passes through hair. Selecting
the snap-on concentrator attachment
will give you more directional control
of the airflow for precision styling.
Direct airflow at hair, not at scalp.
2. Keep dryer’s air intake vents unobstructed and free from hair while
drying.
3. To avoid overdrying, do not concentrate heat on any one section for
any length of time. Keep dryer moving as you style. Set dryer on LOW
speed when hair is almost dry.
4. For quick touch-ups between shampoos, dampen hair with a mist of
water before styling with the dryer.

Select the snap-on brush attachment
and set dryer on HIGH speed. Hold
dryer securely in one hand and use
brush to firmly grasp a section of hair
at the roots. Roll hair around brush
with one turn of the wrist, then pull
downward. Continue procedure until

hair is dry. Repeat the above with each
hair section.

FOR CREATING FULLNESS
Select the brush attachment and set
dryer on HIGH speed. Star ting at the
nape of the neck, first lift hair up and
away from the scalp with the brush,
then rotate the brush downward to
the ends. Move from section to section
until hair is dry.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
FOR DUAL-VOLTAGE DRYERS
For use in the U.S.A., the voltage
selector switch should be placed in
the 120V position. For use in several
countries overseas, the voltage selector may need to be placed in the 240V
position. Confirm the voltage available at each overseas location before
using the appliance. For connection
to a 240-volt supply , use an attachment
plug adapter of the proper configuration for the power supply.
For 110-125 Volt Operation
Flick the dual voltage switch to the
110-125V position. In this position,
the dryer has two settings. It provides
two speeds and two heat settings—low
speed and low heat on LO and high
speed and high heat on HI.
For 220-250 Volt Operation
First put the HI-LO switch into LO.
Flick the Dual voltage switch to the
220-250V position. At 220-250V while
set at LO, the dryer operates only at
high speed with high heat. Do not
attempt to operate the HI-LO switch
or change to 110-125V when operating
on 220-250V. The switches must be set
and remain in the LO and 220-250V
positions. A plug adapter may be nec-
essary in cer tain countries.
USER
MAINTENANCE
Your dryer is virtually maintenancefree. No lubrication is needed. For
proper operating performance, the
dryer must be kept clean. When cleaning is needed, unplug the cord, and
clean dust and lint from air intake
openings with a small brush or the
brush attachment of a vacuum cleaner.
The outer surface of the dr yer should
be wiped clean with a damp cloth only.
Blocked or clogged air intake vents will
cause the dryer to overheat. If overheat-
ing occurs, an automatic safety device
will shut the dryer or the heat of f to
prevent damage or personal injury. If
the unit or the heat cycles off, unplug
the cord and allow the dryer to cool
for 10 to 15 minutes before restarting.
Make sure the air vents are clean.
CAUTION
NEVER allow the power supply cord
to be pulled, twisted, or severely bent.
Never wrap the cord tightly around
the dryer. Damage will occur at the
high flex point of entry into the dryer,
causing it to rupture and short.
Inspect the cord frequently for damage. Stop use immediately if damage
is visible or unit stops or operates
intermittently.
If the cord or dryer is damaged or
does not operate properly , return it to
the place of purchase for exchange.
No repairs should be attempted by the
consumer.
STORAGE - Important
When not in use, your dryer should
be disconnected and stored in a safe,
dry location, out of reach of children.
Do not wrap line cord around dryer.
Allow the cord to hang or lie loose
and straight at the point of entry into
the dryer.

months against defects in material or
workmanship. To obtain service under
this warranty, your first option is to

Este aparato es para uso doméstico. Se
debe usar solamente con corriente
alterna (50/60 hertz). Las secadoras

4. Si el ALCI no funciona correctamente lleve el aparato al lugar donde
lo adquirió.
5. Si el aparato cae al agua, es importante llevar el aparato al lugar donde
lo adquirió para que se lo cambien.
No trate de reincializarlo.
6. Asegúrese de repetir la prueba cada
vez que utilice el aparato para confirmar que el ALCI está funcionando.
Si el aparato se apaga cuando está
encendido y el botón de reinicialización salta, esto puede indicar una
avería en el aparato. Desenchufe el
aparato y permita que se enfríe.
Vuelva a enchufar el aparato.
El aparato debería funcionar normalmente. Si no es así, llévelo al lugar
donde lo adquirió para que se lo cambien.
GUÍA PARA UN PEINADO
EXCELENTE
Usted se verá de lo mejor con un corte
bien mantenido. Siempre trate bien
su cabello con champú, suavizantes y
productos de acabado de calidad
superior. Seque el cabello lo más posible con una toalla. Separe el cabello
en secciones. Siga las instrucciones
para lograr el peinado que desea.
TÉCNICAS BÁSICAS DE SECADO
1. Para secar el cabello con o sin la
boquilla de concentración, separe el
cabello en secciones y seque una sección de cabello a la vez. Mueva la
secadora a lo largo de cada sección de
cabello para que el aire pase con rapidez el mismo. El seleccionar la boquilla de concentración le permitirá dirigir mejor el flujo de aire para lograr
un peinado más preciso. Dirija el aire
hacia el cabello y no el cuero cabelludo.
2. No se deben obstruir las entradas
de aire de la secadora ni permitir que
el cabello las tape.
3. Para evitar secar demasiado el
cabello, no concentre el calor en una
sola área por mucho tiempo.
Mantenga su secadora en movimiento
a medida que se peina. Seleccione la
velocidad LENTA cuando el cabello
esté casi seco.
4. Para hacerse retoques entre lavado
y lavado, rocíese el cabello con agua
para que se humedezca antes de
peinarse y usar la secadora.
CÓMO LACIAR O ALISAR
EL CABELLO
Seleccione el accesorio de cepillo y
seleccione el nivel de velocidad
ALTO. Sujete la secadora con firmeza
y use el cepillo para tomar una sección del cabello desde la raíz. Doble la
muñeca para enrollar el cabello con
el cepillo y luego jale hacia abajo.
Continúe con este proceso hasta que
el cabello se seque. Repita lo anterior
con cada sección de cabello.

CÓMO DARLE VOLUMEN
AL CABELLO
Seleccione el accesorio de cepillo y
seleccione el nivel de velocidad
ALTO. Empiece por la nuca. Primero
levante el cabello con el cepillo, alejándolo del cuero cabelludo.
Entonces rote el cepillo hacia las puntas. Repita lo anterior con cada sección hasta que el cabello quede seco.

INFORMACIÓN ADICIONAL
PARA SECADORAS DE
DOBLE VOLTAJE
Cuando se usa en EE.UU., el selector
de voltaje debe indicar la posición de
120 V. Cuando se usa en el extranjero,
el selector de voltaje debe indicar la
posición de 240 V. Confirme el voltaje
disponible en cada localidad en el
extranjero antes de usar el aparato.
Para conectarlo a una fuente de 240
voltios use un adaptador de enchufe
de la configuración adecuada para la
fuente de poder.
Operación de 110-125 voltios
Coloque el interruptor de voltaje en
la posición de 110-125 V. En esta posición, la secadora tiene dos niveles.
Dos velocidades y dos niveles de calor
- velocidad lenta y poco calor en el
nivel BAJO y velocidad alta y mucho
calor en el nivel ALTO.
Operación de 220-250 voltios
Primero coloque el interruptor de
ALTO-BAJO en la posición de BAJO.
Coloque el interruptor de voltaje en
la posición de 220-250 V. Con este
voltaje y en el nivel BAJO, la secadora
funciona sólo a alta velocidad y con
mucho calor. No trate de mover el
interruptor de ALTO-BAJO, ni cambiar al voltaje de 110-125 V cuando
está funcionando a 220-250 V. En cier-
tos países puede ser necesario un
adaptador de enchufe.
MANTENIMIENTO
QUE DEBE DAR
EL USUARIO
Su secadora prácticamente no necesita mantenimiento. No es necesario
lubricarla. Para un funcionamiento
óptimo, la secadora se debe mantener
limpia. Si es necesario limpiarla, desenchúfela y limpie, quite el polvo y la
suciedad de las entradas de aire con
un cepillo pequeño o con el aditamento de cepillo de una aspiradora.
El exterior de la secadora se debe
limpiar sólo con un paño húmedo.
Si las entradas de aire se tapan harán
que la secadora se sobrecaliente. Si
esto sucede, un dispositivo de seguridad automático apagará la secadora o
el calor para evitar daños o lesiones al
usuario. Si la unidad o el calor se apagan, desenchufe el cordón y permita
que la secadora se enfríe por 10 a 15
minutos antes de volverla a encender.
Asegúrese que las entradas de aire
estén limpias.
PRECAUCIÓN
NUNCA permita que se jale o tuerza
el cordón. Nunca enrolle el cordón
alrededor del aparato. El daño ocurrirá en el punto de flexibilidad máximo, que es el punto de entrada a la
secadora, y causará la ruptura y un
cortocircuito. Revise el cordón con
frecuencia para determinar si hay
daños. Deje de usar el aparato de
inmediato si hay daños visibles o si la
unidad deja de funcionar o funciona

Cuando no está en uso, la secadora se

lugar seguro, seco y fuera del alcance
de los niños. No jale o estire el cordón
en la parte del enchufe. No enrolle el
cordón alrededor del aparato. Enrolle
el cordón de forma suelta para almacenarlo.

garantizado por Wal-Mart por un periodo de 24 meses contra los defectos
