1 Beschreibung
Der Video-Splitter 2
plus
ist ein aktiver Schnittstellen - Vervielfacher für analoge
Videosignale. Der Verteiler ermöglicht sowohl die Übertragung von
Videosignalen über größere Entfernungen als auch die Verteilung der Signale
auf zwei Monitore. Der Video-Splitter 2
plus
(VS-2
plus
) kann durch Kaskadierung
auch eine größere Anzahl von Monitoren bedienen.

Das freie Monitorkabel schließen Sie an den Ausgang Monitor local f des
VS-2
plus
an. An diesem Anschluss werden ausschließlich die DDC-
Informationen des angeschlossenen Monitors abgefragt.

2.3 Anschluss des entfernten Monitors
Schliessen Sie das Verlängerungskabel V-KMVL-x bzw. KMC-x (x =
Längenangabe in Meter) an die Schnittstelle Monitor remote g des VS-2
plus
an. Die Verriegelungsschrauben fest andrehen.
Die offene Seite des Verlängerungskabel mit dem entfernten Monitor (bzw.
dem Anschlusskabel des Monitors) verbinden und verschrauben.

Der VS-2

besteht im Aufbau aus einer PC-Seite und einer Monitor-Seite. Die
folgenden Abbildung zeigen auf, um welche Steckverbindung es sich bei bei
beiden Seiten handelt:

4 Inbetriebnahme
Nachdem Sie alle Verbindungen zwischen dem VS-2
plus
und den Monitoren
(lokal und remote) sowie der Grafikkarte des Rechners hergestellt haben,
gehen Sie bitte folgendermassen vor:
Stromversorgung mittels dem mitgelieferten Steckernetzteil 15D3-
09MP (1,7 / +9V DC) herstellen
(Anzeige über korrekte Spannungsversorgung über grüne LED der
CPU-Seite)
Bildschirme einschalten
Rechner einschalten
5 Einstellung der Verstärkungsleistung des
remote Monitors
Die VS-2
plus
bietet die Einstellung der Videoverstärkung für den entfernten
Monitor über einen Drehregler
d am Gerät (Remote Tuning)
Remote
tuning
Arbeitsweise des Reglers:
Nach links drehen (gegen den Uhrzeigersinn)
Ö weniger Verstärkung (kurzes Kabel)
Nach rechts drehen (im Uhrzeigersinn)
Ö mehr Verstärkung (langes Kabel)
Da die notwendige Verstärkung von einigen Umgebungs-variablen abhängt,
können keine Richtwerte vorgegeben werden. Stellen Sie das beste Bild durch
entsprechendes Drehen des Reglers ein.
Sollten Sie die Installation alleine durchführen, optimieren Sie das Bild, bevor
Sie das Kabel verlegen, da Sie ansonsten nicht gleichzeitig einstellen und den
remote Monitor betrachten können.

The Video-Splitter 2
plus
is an activ interface – multiplier for analog video
signals. The Video-Splitter 2
plus
allows the transmission of video signals over
larger distances as well as the distribution of video signals on two monitor.Via
cascading, the Video-Splitter 2
plus
(VS-2

) can operate a larger amount of
monitors.

2.1 Connecting the VS-2

with a computer
Disconnect the VGA-cable from the VGA port of your computer
Plug the VGA-2 Kabel on the VGA port of your computer
Plug the VGA-2 Kabel in the port VGAin e of the VS-2

2.2 Connecting the local monitor
Connect the cable of your monitor with the port Monitor local f of the VS-
2

Connect the other side of the extension cord with the remote monitor (or with
the connecting cable of your monitor).

4 Getting started
After you have set up all connections between the VS-2
plus
and the monitors
(local and remote) and the VGA-port of your computer, please proceed as
follows:
Connect the Power Supply 15D3-09MP (1,7 / +9V DC) with the VS-
2
plus
(A green LED on the CPU-side indicates, if a correct power supply
has been established)
Switch on monitor
Switch on CPU
5 Tuning the amplifiying of the remote monitor
Over a regulator d the video amplifiying of the remote monitor can be
adjusted (remote tuning).

Mode of operation of the regulator:
Turn left (anti-clockwise)
Ö Lower amplifying (short cable)
Turn right (clockwise)
Ö higher amplifying (long cable)
Since the needed amplifying depends on various parameter, no guideline can
exactly be given. The best picture can be tuned by appropriate turning of the
regulator.
If you do the installation by yourself, optimize the picture before installing the
cable, since you cannot tune a view the remote monitor at the same time.
