Veiligheidsinstructies

•Neem de gebruikershandleiding van de autostoel en in het bijzonder de veiligheidsinformatie aandachtig door voordat je de adapter voor de Makki gaat monteren.

•De adapter is alleen geschikt voor gebruik in de bak van de Makki bakfietsen van Koninklijke Gazelle N.V.

•Gebruik van de autostoel adapter in combinatie met de Makki is geschikt voor het vervoer van een baby vanaf de leeftijd van 3 maanden t/m

±12 maanden.

•Bij gebruik van de autostoel deze in de transportstand monteren op de adapter: plaats het handvat in opengeklapte positie. Het handvat dient dan als extra bescherming van je kind.

•Wij raden je aan om het gebruik van de adapter te beperken tot maximaal een half uur per rit, met een maximum één uur per dag ten behoeve van het welzijn van je kind.

•Het rijen stuurgedrag kan worden beïnvloed bij gebruik van een autostoeltje op de adapter. Matig je snelheid in gebruik tot maximaal 20 km/uur en vermijd hobbels en obstakels in de weg voor de veiligheid van je baby.

•Lees de veiligheidsen gebruiksinstructies in de Makki gebruikershandleiding aandachtig door.

•Aanpassingen aan de adapter zijn niet toegestaan. In geval van aanpassingen kan de functionaliteit niet gewaarborgd worden en vervalt de garantie.

•Zorg ervoor dat de adapter niet overbelast wordt. Dit kan onveilige situaties en/of schade veroorzaken. De adapter is belastbaar tot een gewicht van 15 kg.

•De adapter is geschikt voor de meest gangbare autostoeltjes. Je Gazelle service specialist kan je adviseren bij de aanschaf.

Geschikte autostoeltjes

De adapter is alleen geschikt voor de meest gangbare autostoeltjes.

"OPMERKING" Raadpleeg de Gazelle service specialist voor de keuze van een geschikte autostoel.

"LET OP" Gazelle kan niet verantwoordelijk worden gesteld voor het passen en de werking van deze autostoelen.

Montage

Het plaatsen van de adapter gaat als volgt:

•Positioneer het frame 2 met de houders A zoals aangegeven in de afbeelding.

Elke adapter/houder 1 is gemarkeerd met een L of een R (die staan voor Links / Rechts, gezien in rijrichting).

•Bevestig het frame 2 aan de vier bevestigingspunten in de bak; elk punt met een inbusbout 3 en een opvulring 4 .

•Draai de bouten vast met inbussleutel maat 5.

De adapter is nu klaar om er een autostoeltje op de monteren.

"LET OP" Controleer of het autostoeltje geschikt is voor montage op deze adapter.

•Plaats het autostoeltje op de twee verende houders A van de adapter zo, dat de baby met het gezicht naar het stuur/de berijder gericht is.

Bij het plaatsen moet je een 2x klik horen die aangeeft dat de autostoel juist bevestigd is.

•Controleer de verbinding altijd bij het plaatsen door de autostoel iets op te tillen. Deze mag niet los komen van de houders. Als dit wel gebeurd is de autostoel niet juist geplaatst en moet je de handeling herhalen.

"LET OP" De adapter heeft een inwendig vering voor het opvangen van schokken en hobbels. Houd hier rekening mee bij het plaatsen van de autostoel.

"WAARSCHUWING" Controleer na verloop van tijd of de boutverbindingen nog goed vast zitten. In geval van twijfel, raadpleeg een Gazelle service specialist.

"GEVAAR" Controleer regelmatig de adapter. Door omvallen en of oneigenlijk gebruik kan er breuk en of schade aan de adapter ontstaan, deze mag dan niet meer gebruikt worden.

"GEVAAR" Raadpleeg na een ongeval en/of valpartij altijd je Gazelle service specialist.

Gebruik

De adapter is alleen bedoeld voor het vervoer van een baby in een autostoeltje in de bak van de Makki.

De adapter is te gebruiken in combinatie met sommige andere accessoires van de Makki. Raadpleeg hiervoor je Gazelle service specialist.

"GEVAAR" Laat kinderen nooit onbeheerd achter in de bak van de Makki. De fiets kan omvallen. Dit kan letsel veroorzaken.

"GEVAAR" Als er geen autostoel in de adapter is geplaatst, kunnen kinderen zich bezeren aan uitstekende delen. Kinderen mogen alleen vervoerd worden als ze vastgegespt zijn in de gordels.

"LET OP" Zorg ervoor dat de autostoel de volledige veerweg op en neer kan bewegen in de adapter.

"WAARSCHUWING" Vervoer de baby in de autostoel altijd met het gezicht naar je toe.

Onderhoud

Schoonmaken

De adapter kan na verloop van tijd vies worden. Gebruik voor het schoonmaken een spons met warm water en afwasmiddel.

Garantie

•De garantietermijn gaat in op de dag van aankoop van de adapter. De aankoopnota dient als bewijs hiervoor. Deze moet je overleggen om aanspraak te kunnen maken op garantie.

•Gedurende de geldende garantieperiode(s) zullen alle onderdelen, waarvan is vastgesteld door Gazelle dat er sprake is van een materiaalen fabricagefout, naar keuze van Gazelle worden gerepareerd, dan wel worden vergoed.

•Gazelle geeft 2 jaar garantie op materiaalen constructiefouten op de adapter.

Safety instructions

•Please carefully read the user manual of the car seat and, in particular, the safety instructions before mounting the adapter for the Makki.

•The adapter is only suitable for use in the box of the Makki cargo bikes of Royal Dutch Gazelle N.V.

•Use of the car seat adapter in combination with the Makki is suitable for transporting a baby as of 3 months to around 12 months of age.

•When using the car seat, this should be mounted in the transport mode onto the adapter: put the handle in the opened out position. The handle then functions as extra protection for your child.

•For the well-being of your child, we advise you to limit the use of the adapter to a maximum of half an hour per trip, with a maximum of one hour per day.

•The riding and steering behaviour can be influenced when using the car seat on the adaptor. For your safety and that of your baby, moderate your speed to a maximum of 20 km/hour and avoid bumps and obstacles on the road.

•Carefully read the safety and user instructions in the Makki user manual.

•It is forbidden to make any modifications to the adapter. If modifications have been made the functionality cannot be guaranteed, thereby rendering the warranty null and void.

•Ensure that the adapter is not overloaded. This can lead to unsafe situations and/or damage. The adapter can withstand loads of up to 15 kg.

•The adapter is suitable for most common car seats. Your Gazelle service specialist can advise you on the purchase.

Suitable car seats

The adapter is only suitable for the most common car seats.

"NOTE" Consult the Gazelle service specialist for choosing a suitable car seat.

"ATTENTION" Gazelle cannot be held responsible for the fitting and functioning of these car seats.

Assembly

Mounting the adapter is done as follows:

•Position the frame 2 with the vertical components A as indicated in the diagram. Each adapter/holder 1 is marked with an L or R (that stand for Left / Right, as seen facing forwards).

•Attach the frame 2 to the four mounting points in the box; secure each point with a socket screw 3 and a spacer ring 4 .

•Screw the bolts tight using Allen key 5.

The adapter is now ready for the mounting of a car seat.

"ATTENTION" Check whether the car seat is suitable for mounting on this adapter.

•Place the car seat on the two holders A of the adaptor, so that the baby faces the handlebars and the person cycling.

When placing the car seat you should hear two clicks that indicates that the car seat has been properly mounted.

•After mounting, always check the connection by lifting the car seat slightly. It should not come loose from the holders. If it does come loose, the car seat has not be mounted correctly and the procedure must be repeated.

"ATTENTION" The adapter has internal suspension for absorbing knocks and bumps. Take account of this when mounting the car seat.

"WARNING" After some time check that the bolt connections are still firm. In the event of doubt, consult a Gazelle service specialist.

"DANGER" Regularly check the adapter. Due to falls and/or improper use, breaks or damage can be caused to the adapter. The adapter may no longer be used in such cases.

"DANGER" After an accident and/or fall, always consult your Gazelle service specialist.

Use

The adapter is only intended for transporting a baby in a car seat in the box of a Makki.

The adapter can be used in combination with some other accessories of the Makki. For this, consult the Gazelle service specialist.

"DANGER" Never leave children unattended in the box of the Makki. The bicycle may fall. This could cause injury.

"DANGER" If a car seat has not been placed in the adapter, children may injure themselves on the protruding parts. Children may only be transported if they have been secured in the belts.

"ATTENTION" Ensure that the car seat can move the full spring travel up and down in the adapter.

"WARNING" Always transport the baby in the car seat with the baby facing you.

Maintenance

Cleaning

The adapter can get dirty after some time.

Clean using a sponge with warm water and washing up liquid.

Warranty

•The warranty period starts on the purchase date of the adaptor. The purchase invoice is proof of purchase. You have to be able to produce this to claim under the warranty.

•During the valid warranty period(s), all parts, where it has been determined by Gazelle that there is a material and manufacturing defect, will be repaired or reimbursed at Gazelle

•Gazelle gives 2 years’ warranty against material and manufacturing defects of the adaptor.
