FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q. The fridge will not operate on 12V?
A. Does the battery have sufficient charge, also
check the vehicles fuse for the cigarette lighter.
Q. The fridge will not operate on Gas?
A. Check that the gas bottle is not empty.
Check for leaks at all connections and re-light the burner.
Q. The fridge is difficult to light when the
gas bottle is connected or changed?
A. When the gas bottle is disconnected the
gas lines fill with air, once the gas bottle is reconnected it may take some time to purge the air from the system. Try holding the gas control valve down for 20-60 seconds before turning and lighting.
Q. The fridge is not very cold?
A. Check that the fridge is on a level surface, has
good ventilation and is not overloaded. Make
sure the fridge is not in direct sunlight.
Q. The difference between a domestic fridge
and this absorption fridge?

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
For Optimum Performance
Prior to travel:
Pre-cool the portable fridge at home on 230-240V mains power for 24 hours before use in a vehicle.
Products to be stored in the portable fridge
should also be pre-cooled, or frozen if possible.
Travelling:
When in a vehicle operate the fridge from 12V DC only. The fridge MUST NOT be operated on bottled gas when in a vehicle.
At Destination:
Set up appliance on level ground (bubble must be within inner red circle), connect to
gas supply and operate according to the following instructions.
• For best results in warm weather keep unit shaded from direct sun.
Minimise lifting the lid in very hot conditions.
• Ensure there is sufficient space around the contents in the fridge for circulation of cold air.
Battery Power - 12V DC
1. Insert the two pin plug on the 12V lead into the 12V socket at the rear of the fridge and insert the cigarette plug into the vehicles 12V cigarette lighter socket.
2. The fridge will operate at its maximum cooling; therefore there is no temperature
regulation when operating on 12V.
3. To turn off, remove cigarette plug from socket
Mains - 230-240V AC/50HZ
1. Plug in the 230-240V mains power lead to a power outlet and switch on.
2. Turn the 230-240V control knob fully
clockwise.
3. After four hours, check the temperature of the fridges content, if too cold turn the control knob slightly anti-clockwise to set to the desired temperature.
4. This setting may need to be adjusted if the ambient temperature changes or if the fridge lid is opened frequently.
5. To turn off, turn the 230-240V control knob fully anti-clockwise, turn off switch at power
outlet and remove plug.
IMPORTANT
We recommend the fridge only be operated when the vehicles motor is running. Operating the fridge with the vehicles motor not running will rapidly decrease the battery charge level, which may result in the inability to start the vehicle.

Universal LPG
Connection:
1. Connect the gas hose to the rear of the fridge and the regulator to the gas cylinder.
2. Position the gas cylinder so that the hose is
not kinked or stretched and turn on the valve.
3. Check all gas connections for leaks using
a soap solution. NEVER use a flame for this
purpose.
Lighting:
4. Press and hold down the gas control knob for 20 seconds to allow the gas to charge the system.
5. While keeping the knob pressed, slowly turn the knob fully anti-clockwise until the ignition click is heard.
6. Continue to hold down the control knob for 20 seconds after ignition occurs.
7. Check burner is alight by looking through the
small hole at the rear of the fridge.
8. If burner did not light check connections and
gas cylinder valve, wait 30 seconds and then repeat the above steps.
Operation:
9. Once the gas is alight the fridge will operate at its maximum cooling; therefore there is no
temperature regulation. A red needle visible in the gas indicator confirms operation.
10. To turn off, turn gas control knob fully
clockwise and turn off valve at gas cylinder.
11. Disconnect gas hose before moving fridge.
