Para evitar la manipulación incorrecta de ésta
máquina lea todas las instrucciones de éste manual
antes de usarla por primera vez. Toda la información
incluida en éste manual es relevante para su
seguridad personal y la de las personas, animales
y cosas que se encuentren a su alrededor. Si tiene
alguna duda respecto a la información incluida en este
manual pregunte a un profesional o diríjase al punto de
venta donde adquirió ésta máquina para resolverla.
La siguiente lista de peligros y precauciones incluye las
situaciones más probables que pueden ocurrir en el
uso de esta máquina de la manera más segura posible.
2.1. USUARIOS
Ésta máquina ha sido diseñada para ser manipulada
por usuarios mayores de edad y que hayan leído y
entendido éstas instrucciones.
¡Atención! No permita que personas menores
de edad utilicen ésta máquina.
¡Atención! No permita que personas que no
entiendan éstas instrucciones utilicen ésta máquina.
Antes de usar ésta máquina familiarícese con la
misma asegurando que usted conoce perfectamente
donde están todos los controles, los dispositivos de
seguridad y la manera en que se debe de utilizar.
Si usted es un usuario inexperto le recomendamos
que ejecute una práctica mínima realizando trabajos
sencillos y, si es posible, en compañía de una persona
con experiencia.
¡Atención! Sólo preste ésta máquina a personas
que estén familiarizadas con éste tipo de máquina
y conozcan como utilizarla. Siempre preste junto
con la máquina el manual de instrucciones para que
el usuario lo lea detenidamente y lo comprenda.
Ésta máquina es peligrosa en manos de usuarios no
entrenados.
2.2. SEGURIDAD PERSONAL
Esté alerta, vigile lo que está haciendo y use el
sentido común cuando maneje ésta máquina.
No use ésta máquina cuando esté cansado o bajo
la influencia de drogas, alcohol o medicamentos.
Un momento de distracción mientras maneja ésta
máquina puede causar un daño personal serio.
Almacene las herramientas eléctricas inactivas fuera
del alcance de los niños.
2.3. SEGURIDAD DEL ÁREA DE TRABAJO
Mantenga el área de trabajo limpia y trabaje con
buena iluminación. Las áreas desordenadas y
oscuras provocan accidentes.
No maneje ésta máquina en atmosferas explosivas
así como en presencia de líquidos inflamables,
gases y polvo. Las máquinas eléctricas crean chispas
que pueden encender el polvo o los humos.
Mantenga alejados a los niños y curiosos mientras
maneja ésta máquina. Pare la máquina si personas,
especialmente niños, o animales entran en el área de
trabajo. Las distracciones pueden causarle la pérdida
de control. Vigile que no entren en su área de trabajo
niños, personas o animales. Si es necesario instale
barreras o ponga una vigilancia permanente para
evitar que terceras personas se puedan acercar.

2.4. SEGURIDAD ELÉCTRICA
No utilice esta bomba si en el agua a bombear se
encuentran personas como, por ejemplo, bañistas en
la piscina, existe peligro de descarga eléctrica.
Es obligatorio conectar ésta máquina a un punto de
corriente protegido con un dispositivo diferencial
residual cuya corriente de disparo sea inferior o
igual a 30mA. La tensión de este punto de corriente
debe ser de 240V, frecuencia 50Hz y disponer de un
interruptor magnetotérmico de 10A-16A.
Nunca corte el cable. Existe riesgo de descarga
eléctrica y de dañar la máquina.
Nunca utilice una base de conexión o un
cable de prolongación dañado, que no cumpla la
normativa o los requerimientos necesarios para
esta máquina. Cuando utilice un prolongador de
cable asegúrese de que tiene una sección mínima
de 1,5 mm

, una longitud máxima de 25 m y que
es adecuado para uso exterior. El uso de una
prolongación de cable adecuada para el uso en
exterior reduce el riesgo de descarga eléctrica.
Coloque el cable prolongador de forma que no toque
el agua o pueda caer al agua en el funcionamiento de
la bomba. El cable prolongador debe estar siempre
seco y alejado del agua.
Todas las conexiones eléctricas deben permanecer
fuera del agua, en altura, a una distancia prudencial
de la bomba y conductos de agua, y protegidas de
posibles humedades.
Siempre desconecte la clavija de la base de
conexión antes de realizar cualquier trabajo en ésta
máquina. Solamente manipule ésta máquina cuando
esté desconectada.
La clavija eléctrica de ésta máquina debe coincidir
con la base de la toma de corriente. No modificar
nunca la clavija de ninguna manera. Clavijas no
modificadas y bases coincidentes reducirán el riego
de descarga eléctrica.
No abuse del cable. No usar el cable para llevar,
levantar, sujetar o desenchufar ésta máquina.
Mantenga el cable lejos del calor, aceite, agua,
cantos vivos o piezas en movimiento. Los cables
dañados o enredados aumentan el riesgo de descarga
eléctrica.
No usar la boya-interruptor para llevar, levantar o
sujetar esta máquina.
Nunca use ésta máquina con el cable o la clavija
dañados. Antes de conectar ésta máquina
compruebe la clavija y el cable por si hay daños.
Si descubre algún daño envíe su máquina a un
servicio técnico para la reparación. Si el cable está
dañado o roto, desenchufe inmediatamente. Los
cables dañados o enredados aumentan el riesgo de
descarga eléctrica.
La sustitución de la clavija o del cable de alimentación
debe hacerla siempre el fabricante o su servicio de
asistencia técnica.
2.5. UTILIZACIÓN Y CUIDADOS DE ESTA MÁQUINA
Esta bomba está prevista para el achique y trasvase
de aguas dulces y que estén a una temperatura
máxima de 35º C. (ver pto. 4.3. “Características
técnicas”). No utilice esta bomba para achicar o
transvasar otros líquidos distintos del agua dulce
como agua salada, gasolina, aceites, disolventes,
líquidos alimenticios (leche, refrescos, etc) o aguas
residuales.

Esta bomba es de uso particular y servicios puntuales,
no está pensada para usos contínuos como bomba de
fuentes o instalaciones de transvase o presión. La vida
de esta bomba se acortará notáblemente si se usa en
este tipo de servicios permanentes. Use esta bomba
para achicar agua en inundaciones, vaciar piscinas,
trasvases puntuales de agua, sacar agua de pozos y
operaciones similares.
No deje que su máquina trabaje en vacio (sin agua)
ya que existe riesgo de estropearla y su vida útil
disminuye.
Use ésta máquina, accesorios, útiles, etc. de
acuerdo con éstas instrucciones y de la manera
prevista para el particular tipo de máquina teniendo
en cuenta las condiciones de trabajo y el trabajo a
desarrollar. El uso de ésta máquina para aplicaciones
diferentes de las previstas podrá causar una situación
de peligro.
Nunca utilice esta máquina con las protecciones
dañadas o sin las protecciones instaladas.
Compruebe que todos los elementos de seguridad
están instalados y en buen estado.
El fabricante no será en ningún caso responsable
de los daños provocados por un uso indebido o
incorrecto de ésta máquina.
No fuerce ésta máquina. Utilice ésta máquina para
la aplicación correcta. La utilización de la máquina
correcta para el tipo de trabajo a realizar le permitirá
trabajar mejor y más seguro.
Utilice una cuerda atada al asa de trasporte de la
máquina para sumergir o sacar la bomba del agua.
Nunca utilice el cable o la boya-interruptor para
este fin.
Mantenga esta máquina. Compruebe que las partes
móviles no estén desalineadas o trabadas, que no
hay piezas rotas u otras condiciones que puedan
afectar el funcionamiento ésta máquina. Siempre
que ésta máquina esté dañada repárela antes de su
uso. Muchos accidentes son causados por máquinas
pobremente mantenidas.
Si el aparato comienza a vibrar de modo extraño
apague la máquina, desconéctela de la red y
examine el aparato para encontrar la causa. Si
no detecta la razón lleve su máquina al servicio
técnico. Las vibraciones son siempre un indicio de un
problema en la máquina.
Desenchufe la clavija de la fuente de alimentación
antes de efectuar cualquier ajuste, cambio de
accesorios, o de almacenar ésta máquina. Tales
medidas preventivas de seguridad reducen el riesgo
de arrancar ésta máquina accidentalmente.
2.6. SERVICIO
Haga revisar periódicamente su máquina eléctrica
por un servicio de reparación cualificado usando
solamente piezas de recambio idénticas. Esto
garantizará que la seguridad de ésta máquina
eléctrica se mantiene.

5.1. LISTA DE MATERIALES
Esta máquina incluye los siguientes elementos que
usted encontrará dentro de la caja:
• Bomba.
• Rácor.
• Manualdeinstrucciones.
Saque con cuidado todos los elementos de la caja
y asegúrese que todos los elementos listados están
presentes.
Inspeccione el producto cuidadosamente para
asegurar que no existen elementos dañados. Si
alguna parte de la máquina está dañada o falta
alguna pieza no la utilice hasta haber subsanado el
problema. La utilización de esta máquina en estado
puede provocar un choque eléctrico, fuego y/o una
lesión seria.
5.2. MONTAJE E INSTALACIÓN
Esta máquina viene montada y lista para su uso. No
es necesario realizar ningún montaje salvo acoplar la
manguera de impulsión, ajustar la altura de la boya y
conectar a corriente la bomba.
5.2.1. INSTALACIÓN DE LA MANGUERA DE
IMPULSIÓN
Conecte una manguera a la salida de agua de la
bomba.
Esta bomba dispone de un adaptador de salida que
permite utilizar diferentes tamaños de manguera o
racor.
- Zona A: Conexión de mangueras de 32 mm.
mediante abrazadera.
- Zona B: Conexión de mangueras de 25 mm.
mediante abrazadera.
- Zona C: Conexión de racores de rosca de 1’’.
En este caso deberá cortar el adaptador por la
línea de puntos entre B y C con una sierra.
- Zona D: Si usted quita el adaptador podrá roscar
un racor de 1
1/4”.
5.2.2. AJUSTE DE LA BOYA
Se puede ajustar la altura de parada y de arranque
de la bomba regulando la cantidad de cable libre
de la boya. Cuanto más largo sea el cable desde la
boya hasta el punto de fijación la bomba, la bomba
necesitará más altura de agua para arrancar y
funcionará hasta dejar menos altura de agua.
Es importante siempre dejar al
menos 5 cm de cable
libre entre la boya y el punto de
fijación para que la
boya tenga capacidad
suficiente de movimiento y
pueda encender o apagar la
bomba en función de la
altura de agua.
Si usted sumerge la bomba en
un espacio pequeño asegúrese
de que la boya tiene espacio suficiente
para subir y bajar.
5. INSTRUCCIONES PARA LA

Si la boya no dispone de espacio puede que quede
bloqueada impidiendo la parada del motor antes de
que se acabe el agua, la bomba funcionará en vacío,
se producirá un desgaste excesivo y existirá riesgo de
rotura de la misma.
5.3. PUNTOS DE VERIFICACIÓN ANTES DE
SUMERGIR LA BOMBA
Verifique la máquina completamente y busque piezas
sueltas (tornillos, tuercas, etc.) y daños. Apriete,
repare o remplace todo lo necesario antes de utilizar
la máquina.
5.4. INMERSIÓN DE LA BOMBA
Introduzca la bomba en el agua sujetándola por
el asa y déjándola en vertical, en suspensión si el
suelo es arenoso, con barro o impurezas o apoyada
en el fondo si éste es suelo firme y sin impurezas.
Si no llega con el brazo al fondo puede atar una
cuerda al asa y dejarla caer suavemente hasta que
llegue al fondo. Nunca utilice el cable de corriente
para sujetar la bomba. Esta cuerda le valdrá
posteriormente para izar la bomba.
Utilice esta máquina sólo para los usos para los
que ha sido diseñada. La utilización de esta máquina
para cualquier otro uso es peligroso y puede provocar
daños al usuario y/o a la máquina.
No se confíe únicamente a los dispositivos de
seguridad de esta máquina.
No utilice esta máquina si usted está fatigado,
enfermo, ha tomado medicamentos, estupefacientes
o alcohol. La falta de descanso y la fatiga pueden
provocar accidentes o daños.
No utilice esta máquina por la noche, con niebla o
con una visibilidad reducida que no le permita ver con
claridad la zona de trabajo.
Es necesario prestar atención al posible aflojado o
recalentamiento de las piezas de la máquina. Si usted
detecta cualquier anomalía pare inmediatamente
la máquina y verifíquela cuidadosamente.
En caso de fallo lleve la máquina al servicio técnico
para su reparación. En ningún caso usted debe
continuar trabajando
6.1. PUESTA EN MARCHA Y PARADA
La maquina se enciende o apaga automáticamente
en función de la posición de la boya-interruptor una
vez conectada a corriente. Esta máquina no tiene
interruptor manual.
6.2. CONEXIÓN A CORRIENTE
Conecte la bomba a un punto de corriente protegido
con un dispositivo diferencial residual cuya
corriente de disparo sea inferior o igual a 30mA.
La tensión de este punto de corriente debe ser de
240 V, frecuencia 50 Hz y disponer de un interruptor

Una vez conectada la máquina a la corriente esta
debería empezar a funcionar.
6.3. PUNTOS DE VERIFICACIÓN TRAS LA PUESTA
EN MARCHA
Compruebe que sale agua por la manguera de
impulsión pasados unos segundos con un volumen
y presión característicos, que el ruido de la máquina
es normal y que no vibra. Si usted detecta alguna
anomalía en la máquina pare inmediatamente,
verifique la instalación de manguera y las conexiones
a corriente. En caso de alguna anomalía o problema
lleve la máquina al servicio técnico para que la repare.
En ningún caso continúe utilizando la máquina si el
funcionamiento no parece el adecuado.
Esta bomba cuenta con un sistema de autocebado.
Cuando la bomba se sumerge y se pone en marcha
este sistema expulsa todo el aire por el orificio de
ventilación. Si el nivel del agua está por debajo del
orificio puede que salga algo de agua por este orificio
a la vez que sale el agua. Si usted observa que sale
agua por este orificio no se preocupe, es normal.
6.4. RECOMENDACIONES
No utilice esta bomba en barro, aguas arenosas,
aguas excesivamente turbias, aguas fecales o aguas
con impurezas o componentes filamentosos. Estos
elementos aumentarán el desgaste de la bomba y
podrán bloquearla.
La bomba da menor caudal cuanto más alta está la
salida de la manguera de impulsión. Intente siempre
poner la salida de la manguera lo más baja posible.
Compruebe la gráfica de caudal /altura del punto 4.3.
No deje la bomba en el lugar donde ha trabajado tras
acabar el trabajo de achique ya que puede quedarse
atascada con el barro que exista en la zona cuando
éste se seque.
No bloquee la salida del agua, la bomba ha de
colocarse de tal manera que se asegure la correcta
salida del agua.
Si el fondo donde se va a ubicar la bomba para
trabajar está muy sucio ponga un ladrillo y encima
la bomba, de esta manera disminuirá la cantidad de
impurezas que absorberá la bomba.
La retirada de los dispositivos de seguridad, el
mantenimiento inapropiado o la sustitución de piezas
con recambios no originales puede producir lesiones
corporales severas.
Siempre realice las tareas de
mantenimiento o servicio con la máquina
desenchufada de la corriente.
Desenchufe la máquina antes de realizar
cualquier operación en la máquina. Lea el
manual de instrucciones antes de realizar
cualquier operación en la máquina.
7.1. MANTENIMIENTO DESPUÉS DE TRABAJAR
Realice las siguientes operaciones de mantenimiento
y cuidado cuando termine de trabajar con la máquina
para asegurar el buen funcionamiento de esta
máquina en futuras ocasiones.

7.1.1. LIMPIEZA
¡Atención!: Siempre limpie la máquina después de
su uso. No llevar a cabo una limpieza adecuada
puede provocar daños a la máquina y producir un
mal funcionamiento. Siempre que sea posible, limpiar
inmediatamente después de de trabajar.
Para la limpieza vacíe el agua del interior de la bomba,
aclárela con agua dulce limpia y déjela secar antes de
guardarla.
7.1.2. COMPROBACIÓN GENERAL
Compruebe el estado del cable eléctrico buscando
signos de desgaste o posibles cortes del mismo.

8. DETECCIÓN E IDENTIFICACIÓN DE FALLOS
En caso de que no pueda solucionar el problema con este cuadro lleve su máquina al servicio técnico.
En función de los síntomas que usted observe se puede detectar la causa probable y solucionar el problema:

Antes de transportar la máquina, retire siempre el
enchufe de la clavija de corriente.
Transporte siempre la máquina con el motor apagado
y sujetándola por el asa.
Si va a transportar la máquina en vehículos asegúrela
firmemente para evitar que se deslice o vuelque.
Desenchufe la clavija de la fuente de alimentación
antes de almacenar esta máquina.
Almacene las herramientas eléctricas inactivas en un
lugar no accesible a los niños y seguro de manera que
no ponga en peligro a ninguna persona.
La máquina fuera de uso debe almacenarse limpia,
sobre una superficie plana. Almacene la máquina
en un lugar donde el rango de temperaturas no sea
inferior a 0ºC ni superior a 45ºC.
Deshágase de su aparato de manera ecológica.
No debemos deshacernos de las máquinas junto con
la basura doméstica. Sus componentes de plástico
y de metal pueden clasificarse en función de su
naturaleza y reciclarse.
Los materiales utilizados para embalar esta máquina
son reciclables. Por favor, no tire los embalajes a la
basura domestica. Tire estos embalajes en un punto
oficial de recogida de residuos.

12.1. PERIODO DE GARANTÍA
- El periodo de garantía (Ley 1999/44 CE) según los
términos descritos a continuación es de 2 años a
partir de la fecha de compra, en piezas y mano de
obra, contra defectos de fabricación y material.
12.2. EXCLUSIONES
La garantía Garland no cubre:
- Desgaste natural por uso.
- Mal uso, negligencia, operación descuidada o falta
de mantenimiento.
- Defectos causados por un uso incorrecto, daños
provocados debido a manipulaciones realizadas a
través de personal no autorizado por Garland o uso
de recambios no originales.
12.3. TERRITORIO
- La garantía Garland asegura cobertura de servicio
en todo el territorio nacional.
12.4. EN CASO DE INCIDENCIA
- La garantía debe ir correctamente cumplimentada
con todos los datos solicitados, y acompañada por
la factura.

The non observance of the warning and instructions
detailed from here on can result in a fire being
caused and/or a serious injury. Before using the
machine, read carefully the information in this manual
on a secure and correct start up. If you have any
doubts about the information in this manual, either
consult with a professional or go back to where you
purchased the machine and ask.
The following list of dangers and precautions include
the most probable causes whilst using the machine.
If you find yourself in a situation not explained in
this manual, use your common sense and use the
machine in the most secure way and if you see any
danger, do not use the machine.
2.1. USERS
This machine has been designed to be operated by
people over 18 and whom have read and understood
the instruction manual.
Attention! Do not allow underage people to use
the machine.

understand the instruction manual to use the
machine.
Before using the machine familiarize yourself with the
machine making sure you know perfectly well where
all the controls can be found as well as all security
devices and how all these should be used. If you are
not an expert user we recommend you start with some
simple jobs and if possible, under the supervision of
an expert user.
Attention! Only lend this machine to people who
are familiarized with this type of machine and know
how to use it. Always lend the instruction manual
with the machine so that the new user reads it and
understand it prior to carrying out any work.
This machine is dangerous in untrained hands.
2.2. PERSONAL SECURITY
Be alert and vigilant and use common sense when
using the machine.
Do not use the machine when you are tired or under
the influence of drugs, alcohol or medicines. One
moment´s distraction can cause serious personal injury.
Store electric machines in a place where the machine
cannot be reached by a child.
2.3. WORKING AREA SECURITY
Maintain the work area clean and work under well
lit conditions. Untidy and dark working areas, cause
accidents.
Do not use the machine in explosive atmospheres
or in the presence of inflammable liquids, gases
and powders. Electric machines can release sparks
that could ignite the inflammable liquids, gases and
powders.
Maintain children, other people and animals well
clear of the machine whilst working. Distractions
can cause the loss of control. Be vigilant and stop any
children, other people and animals coming into the
working area.
2.4. ELECTRIC SECURITY
Do not use this pump if in the water to be pumped
there are people such as swimmers as there is a risk
of electric shock.
2. NORMATIVE AND SECURITY

It is obligatory to connect the machine to a mains
switch protected by a residual differential equal
to or less than 30mA. Electricity tension should
be 240v, frequency 50Hz and have a magnet and
thermal switch between 10A-16A.
Never cut the cable. There is a risk of electric
shock and also of damaging the machine.
Never use this machine if the cable or the plug
are damaged. Before connecting the machine check
that the cable and the plug are not damaged. If you
discover that either of these elements are damaged,
take your machine to your nearest after sales
dealer. Should the cable be damaged, unplug the
machine immediately. Damaged or tangled cables
increase the risk of electric. When using a cable
extension, make sure that its minimum section is
1.5 mm

and no longer than 25 metres, always
unrolled and adequate for outdoor use. The use of
the cable extension adequate for outdoor use, reduces
the risk of electric shock.
Place the cable extension in such a way that it does
not touch the water and that it will not fall into the
water when the pump starts working. The cable
extension must always be well away from the water
and dry.
All electric connexions must remain away from the
water and at a safe distance from the pump and any
water conducts and protected from humidity.
Always disconnect the machine from the mains
before carrying out any maintenance work on
the pump. Only manipulate the machine when the
machine has been unplugged.
The electrical switch of this machine must coincide
with the mains switch.
Do not modify the switch in any way. If no parts have
been modified and they fit perfectly, there will be no
electric shock accidents.
Do not overstretch the cable. Do not use the cable
to transport the machine, lift the machine and to
unplug the machine. Maintain the cable far away
from heat sources, oil, sharp edges or other moving
parts. Damaged or tangled cables increase the risk of
electric shock.
Do not use the switch or the buoy to lift or carry the
machine.
Never use this machine if the cable or the plug are
damaged. Before connecting the machine check
that the cable and the plug are not damaged. If you
discover that either of these elements are damaged,
take your machine to your nearest after sales
dealer. Should the cable be damaged, unplug the
machine immediately. Damaged or tangled cables
increase the risk of electric shock.
The substitution of the plug or cable should only be
carried out by your service dealer.
2.5. USAGE AND MAINTENANCE OF THE MACHINE
This machine has been designed to pump clean sweet
water at a maximum temperature of 35oc. Do not use
the pump to pump other liquids that are not clean
sweet water such as salty water, dirty water, petrol,
oils or residual liquids. This machine is for home use
for domestic waters and for irrigation purposes.
This pump has been designed for private and
occasional use. It has not been designed for
continuous use such as usage as a fountain pump
or for passing water under pressure. The life of the
machine will be shortened if the pump is used for
these continuous tasks. Use this pump to empty

swimming pools, to remove water from inundations,
take water from wells and similar tasks.
Do not allow the machine to work with no water
as there is a clear risk of breakage. Be vigilant that
the suction tube is always inside the water when
pumping.
Use this machine and its accessories following the
instructions and use taking into account the job to
be done. The use of this machine for jobs it has not
been designed to do can be the cause of dangerous
situations.
Never use this machine if any part of the machine
is damaged.
Check that all security elements are in good working
order at all times.
The manufacturer will not be liable for damages
caused through the incorrect usage of the machine.
Do not overload the machine. Use the machine for
its correct usage. If used correctly the machine will
do the desired job.
Use a rope tied to the transport handle to submerge
the pump or to pull the pump back out. Never use
the buoy to do this task.
Look after the machine. Check that all moving parts
are well aligned and that they are not blocked, that
there are no broken pieces or other conditions that
could affect the proper functioning of the machine.
If this machine is damaged, always repair it before
using it again. Most accidents occur because of poor
maintenance.
If the machine starts vibrating in a strange way,
disconnect the machine and examine it. If you
cannot detect why the machine vibrates, take the
machine to your nearest service dealer. Vibrations are
always an indication of a problem to the machine.
Unplug the machine before carrying out any
maintenance work, change of accessories or before
storing the machine. All these measures ensure that
the machine will not be accidentally started.
2.6. SERVICE
Take your machine for periodic revision to a
qualified after sales dealer and only use original
spare parts and accessories. This will guarantee that
the security measures of this electric machine can
always be complied with.
To guarantee a correct use and maintenance of this
machine, you will find the following symbols on the

5.1. LIST OF MATERIALS
The machine includes the following elements that you
will find in the box:
• Pump.
• Adaptor.
• Instructionmanual.
Remove all elements from the box and check that all
are included.
Remove carefully all the elements from the box
and make sure that all listed parts are included. Due
to the quality controls done at the factory it is highly
improbable that your machine has any faulty part
or that any elements are missing. If you find any
damaged part or there are any elements missing,
do not use the machine until the problem has been
solved or you have been given the missing parts.
Usage of the machine with defective or missing parts
is dangerous and could result in personal injuries.
5.2. MOUNTING AND INSTALLATION
This machine comes mounted and ready for use. No
mounting is necessary except for the coupling of the
impulsion hose, height adjustment of the buoy and
connecting the pump to the mains.
5.2.1. INSTALLATION OF THE IMPULSION HOSE
Connect the hose to the water exit of the pump.
This hose has an exit adaptor that allows different
sizes of hose to be fitted to the pump.
- Zone A: 32 mm hose connection using a holding
clip.
- Zone B: 25 mm hose connection using a holding
clip.
- Zone C: Threading one inch fittings. In this case,
you shall have to cut the adaptor using a saw
between points b and C.
- Zone D: If you remove the adaptor, you will be able
to add a 1
1/4’’ fitting.
5.2.2. ADJUSTING THE BUOY
The starting and stopping height of the pump can be
adapted by regulating the amount of free cable of the
buoy. The longer the cable from the buoy to the fixing
point of the pump, the pump will need more water
height to start and will work giving less water height.
It is important to always leave at
least 5 cm of cable free between
the buoy and fixing point of the
pump so that the buoy can move
freely and therefore start and
stop the pump depending on the
water height.

If you submerge the pump in a small place, ensure
that the buoy has sufficient room to move up and
down. If the buoy does not have sufficient room it will
block and will not allow the pump to stop before the
water finishes. The pump will work with no water, it
will wear out more quickly and a breakage could take
place.
5.3. CHECKING POINTS BEFORE SUBMERGING THE
PUMP
It is important to check that all parts are well
tightened. Tighten, repair and replace all necessary
before using the machine.
5.4. PUMP SUBMERSION
Place the pump in the water by holding the
transport handle and ensuring the machine is in a
vertical position. The pump can be placed on the
bottom of the surface if the water is clean and has
no impurities. If not, the machine must be placed on
a platform.
If you cannot reach the bottom with your arm, you
can tie a rope to the transport handle and lower the
pump. The same rope can later be used to raise the
pump. Never use the buoy to lower or raise the pump.
6. MACHINE USAGE
Use this machine only for jobs for which it has
been designed. The use of this machine for any other
jobs is dangerous and can cause dangers to the users
and/or to the machine.
Do not rely solely on the security elements of the
machine.
Do not use this machine if tired, ill or if under the
effects of medicines, alcohol or drugs. The lack of rest
and fatigue can cause accidents and damages.
Do not use this machine at night, with fog or with
reduced visibility that does not allow you to clearly see
the working area.
Always be alert that the machine has no loose parts.
If you detect any loose parts, stop the machine
immediately and check the machine carefully. If you
detect any problems, stop the machine and take to
your nearest service dealer. Never carry on working
with the machine.
6.1. START AND STOPPAGE
The machine starts and stops automatically
depending on the position of the buoy once the
machine has been connected to the mains. This
machine has no manual switch.
6.2. CONNEXION TO THE MAINS

All electrical connexions should be outside of the
water, at a safe distance from the pump and water
conducts and protected from possible humidity.
Connect the pump to the mains. The machine should
work.
6.3. CHECKING POINTS AFTER START UP
Check that water comes out the impulsion hose
after a few seconds, that the noise of the machine is
normal and that it does not vibrate. If you detect any
anomaly, stop the machine immediately, check the
hose installation and the connexions to the mains.
If necessary, take the machine to your nearest after
sales dealer for repair.
Never carry on using the machine.
This pump comes with a self pumping system. When
the pump is submerged and started, this system
expels all the air through the ventilation orifice. If the
water level is below this orifice, some water might also
come out through the orifice. This is normal.
6.4. RECOMMENDATIONS
Do not use this pump with mud, sandy water,
excessively dirty and murky water or water with high
levels of impurities and/or filaments. These elements
could cause the blockage of the pump as well as
wearing the machine a lot quicker.
The pump will lower its water outflow the higher the
impulsion hose is. Always try and lower as much as
possible. Check the graph of outflow/height in point
4.3.
Do not leave the pump in the workplace after finishing
your task as it could get stuck in the mud once the
water has been cleared.
Do not block the water exit. The pump must be placed
in such a way that water can outflow correctly.
If the bottom is very dirty, place a platform such as a
brick and place the pump on top thus reducing the
quantity of impurities that the pump will absorb.
7. MAINTENANCE AND SERVICE
The removal of the security elements, a poor
maintenance or the substitution of spares and
accessories by non original ones can all cause severe
corporal damages.
Always carry out all the maintenance work
with the machine unplugged from the
mains.
Unplug the machine always before carrying
out any work on the pump. Read the
instruction manual before carrying out any
maintenance work.
7.1. MAINTENANCE AFTER WORK
Carry out the following maintenance work once
you finish your task to guarantee that the machine
functions correctly next time.
7.1.1. CLEANING
Attention! Always clean the machine after use.
Not cleaning the machine adequately will result
in damages to the machine and the machine will
work less. Wherever possible, clean the machine
immediately after working with it.

To clean, empty the water from the interior of the
pump, rinse with non salted water and allow to dry
before storing.

signs of wearing out and possible cuts.

9. TRANSPORT
Unplug the machine from the mains switch.
Transport the machine with the engine turned off and
holding the machine by the handle.
If you are going to transport the machine in a vehicle,
securely fasten it to avoid the machine slipping or
tumbling over.
10. STORAGE
Unplug the machine from the mains switch.
Store electric machines in a place inaccessible to
children and in such a way that it does not represent a
danger to any other person.
Keep the machine in its box, on a flat surface and
within the temperature range 0ºC and 45ºC.
11. RECYCLING AND MACHINE
DISPOSAL
Get rid of your machine in an ecological way. We
should not get rid of the machine with the domestic
rubbish. Its plastic and metallic parts can be classified
and can be recycled.
All materials used to box this machine are recyclable.
Please, do not dispose of the box with your domestic
rubbish. Throw these parts in an official ecological
residual pick up point.
