Because of the wide variety of applications, mounting screws are not provided. It is recommended that a stainless steel screw of suitable length be used for installation. It should be long enough to penetrate 75% of the substrate thickness without protruding through the substrate as this could cause injury to a person sitting on the protruding screw point.
99129 SERIES INSTALLATION
Refer to Fig. 1.
1. The 99129 series swing leg is designed to swing in two directions: left-right or front-rear. Determine your application. The recommended setback from the seat edges is approximately 3". This is a recommendation only and common sense should be used in determining the exact position. Depress the spring button and swing the bracket so the mounting surface is perpendicular to the leg. Hold the bracket against the substrate in the desired location and mark 2 mounting hole positions through the bracket.
2. Drill 2 pilot holes of a suitable size for the fasteners selected and mount the swing legs.
NOTE: If the swing legs are going to be mounted
so they swing toward each other, check to see if they will overlap when folded. If they overlap they can be installed slightly offset as to lay beside each other when folded.
99029 SERIES INSTALLATION
Refer to Fig. 2.
1. The 99029 series swing leg is designed to fold one direction when installed. However, it may be installed to fold in any direction desired. The recommended setback from the seat edges is approximately 3". This is a recommendation only and common sense should be used in determining the exact location. Depress the spring button and swing the bracket so the mounting surface is perpendicular to the leg. Hold the bracket in the desired location and mark 2 mounting hole positions through the bracket.
2. Drill 2 pilot holes of a suitable size for the fasteners selected and mount the swing legs.
