HOW TO OPERATE
1. Install 2 new AA ALKALINE Batteries in the battery compartment (Using old batteries will decrease the overall operational time of the timer).
2. Test to ensure the unit is operational. Simply turn the Run Time dial to the “On” position. Within a few seconds you should hear the timer mechanism operate.
3. Fit the 3/4” tap connector or the 1” adaptor to your garden tap. If using the 1” adaptor, attach it directly to the tap.
4. Loosen the black collar until the fitted 3/4” tap connector is loose. Then holding the timer steady with one hand, fit to the tap.
5. Hand tighten the black collar until secure.
6. The water can now be turned on.
7. Use the FREQUENCY dial to determine how often you want to water.
8. Use the RUN TIME dial to determine how long you want to water.
Please note: Watering will commence when the first “frequency cycle” you have set has passed. For example if your Frequency Dial is set to 1 hour, the first watering cycle will commence one hour after you have set the program….and continue hourly thereafter.
Using Manual ON will allow the water to flow from the tap.
Using Manual OFF will prevent water flowing from the tap, even if the tap is on.
Watering Frequency – Select every 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8,12, 24, 48,or 72 hours, or every week
Watering Run time – Select 1, 3, 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 60, 90, or 120 minutes
Keep clear of dirt and debris. Ensure water is not accidentally sprayed into battery compartment.
Timer cannot be reassembled if taken apart. Disassembling will void all warranties.
Performance Specifications
Water pressure: Maximum up to 600 kPa. If operating in a higher water pressure area, use a pressure reducer. Temperature: Max 60º C Batteries: 2 x AA Alkaline Use with cold water only
Trouble shooting
• If batteries are running low the valve will close automatically.
• Ensure that the Run Time dial is not set to Manual Off.
• Check that the Frequency selected is longer than the Run Time. Eg do not set a 120 minute run time and a 2 hour frequency.
• Make sure the tap is turned on.
To Program:
Once attached to tap simply select your watering frequency and your run time.
The dials can be turned both clockwise and anti-clockwise without damaging the mechanism.
To set watering twice daily – Select 12
To set watering daily – Select 24
To set watering every second day - Select 48
To set watering every week – Select week
So for example if you set it every 12 hours for 20 minutes and you set it at 8am, it will come on first at 8pm, then 8am etc every day for 20 minutes each time.
Maintenance:
Make sure you only use new Alkaline batteries. This gives approximately 12 months battery life in your timer.
