This instruction sheet provides directions on how to install the Integrated Power Supply Kit
(7160-0496). This kit should be installed ONLY in the following products:

Panasonic Toughbook CF-31 Docking Station

Model No's. : 7160-0318-00 (-P), 7160-0318-01 (-P), 7160-0318-02 (-P), 7160-0318-07 (-P),
7160-0318-08 (-P), 7160-0318-09 (-P)

Orient Power Plug per dotted outline
and insert into socket. Rotate
Power Plug in direction of arrow
to keep plug in socket.

KIT INSTALLATION

Place Docking Station on a soft flat surface . Orient with the bottom facing up and lock

If attached remove mounting system and/or cable restraint bracket from bottom of dock.

With cable of Power Plug oriented perpendicular to the bottom of the dock insert Power Plug

DC IN 15.6V

towards LAN/WAN labels to lock Power Plug into socket.
Attach Power Plug Cable to Power Supply.

Place power Supply in pocket on right hand side of docking station. Ribbed surface of Power

Insert cable between snap finger and frame and secure with Cable Clamp and #6 X 3/8"

Route cable across dock and place connectors in space provided in front of Power Supply

With connectors and wires placed into space provided attach Terminal Cover to dock using 2

#8 X 5/8" screws. Terminal Cover should overlap edge of Power Supply and secure it in
pocket when the screws are tightened (Fig. 2).
Install second Cable Clamp and #6 X 3/8" screw.
