WARNING
•You must read and follow all of these installation instructions. Failure to follow the
installation instructions may result in serious bodily injury or death.
•Do not install or use this assembly in the area in which the airbag on the vehicle may be
deployed. The installer and user of this assembly are responsible for installing and using
this assembly outside the area in which an airbag may be deployed. (See Product
Mounting Disclaimer Below)
•Keep these installation instructions with the product and readily available in the vehicle
for future reference of other users of the product.
•Additional copies of the installation instructions can be obtained from Gamber-Johnson.

ASSEMBLY
1. Loosely install the two u-bolts to the foot as shown (Fig. 1) using the supplied hardware.
2. Remove loom from aluminum ro d.
3. Install the foot assembly onto the end of the aluminum rod and loosely tighten u-bolts.
4. Bolt foot to desired mounting point in vehicle (hardw are not includ ed). The most convenient
mounting point in most vehicles is the front left passenger seat mounting bolt (bolt foot between seat
rail and floor of vehicle). If your vehicle d oes not have front seat mounting bolts (most GM cars), you
will need to find another suitable mounting point.
5. The aluminum bar can be bent or cut to length to customize installation. The bar can be bent in a
vice , or over the edge of a b oard or workbench.
6. Once final shape is attained, reinstall loom, place rod in u-bolts and tighten.

7. Determin e orientation for the mounting plate. The mounting plate can be installed with either side
facing out depending on the desired direction of rotation (left hand or right hand). Install p er Figure 2
for a left hand rotation (starting at notch the slot progresses to the left).
8. Install the mounting plate with the supplied bolt and lock washer. The notch marks the starting
point of the rotation. Install the plate with the notch pointing up or toward the dash. The notch will
correspond with the top of the TabCruzer when in portrait orientation.
9. Using the supplied #8 screws, plastic washers, flat washers and lock nuts, install the TabCruzer to
the mounting p late.
10. Tighten the lock nuts enough to allow for easy rotation of the TabCruz er while keeping it from
rattling or falling under its own weight.
11. For additional stability the assembly can secured to a vertical surface such a s the side of the cente r
console using the supplied plastic mount. Attach the plastic mount to a suitable surface and the
aluminum rod with the inc luded cable tie. Before driving any screws into yo ur car check for the
presence of vehicle systems. Gamber-Johnson recommends that any modifications to your vehicle be
completed by an experienced ins taller.

WARNING
•This assembly should not be positioned in the area where the airbag may be deployed.
•DO NOT position the equipment in front of an airbag. Equipment positioned in front of an
airbag may cause serious injury or death if an airbag is activated.
•
If installation of the equipment requires that the equipment be placed in front of an airbag,
the airbag should be deactivated. In order to secure permission for deactivating the airbag
you must contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration at
gain permission to do so. If you have any questions or need assistance, call

•High speed vehicle turns may cause parts of the assembly to swivel, interfering with the
driver or other equipment.
