HANDLE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

FOR HOT SPOT OR HOT SPOT VC'S WITH FOAM OR CLOTH GRILLES

DISASSEMBLY OF UNIT:

1. Remove the 6 screws found in the perimeter of the bezel.

2. On new style HOT SPOTS, (2004 on), the bezel may be easily removed from the shell. On older
HOT SPOTS the bezel fits tightly inside the perimeter of the shell. For these, use the following
procedure for disassemble.

(a) On a carpet/cardboard-covered bench, set the unit on either of the two small ends with the
front facing you.
(b) With both hands hold the unit by the shell, tip the other end towards you, pick up the about
8-inches, and give it a hard "rap" down onto the bench.
(c) The speaker/bezel assembly should pop loose. If not, repeat step (b) with a little more
force.
(d) Slide the fast-on spade terminal lugs of the red and black backjack wires from the speaker
terminals, and set the speaker/bezel assembly aside.

SHELL PREP:

1. See attached page 2, and follow steps 1 thru 4.

REASSEMBLY:

1. Reconnect the backjack wires to the speaker terminals.

2. Slide one side of the bezel into the shell. Apply slight pressure to the opposite side of the
bezel and gently "rap" the unit on a carpet/cardboard bench until the bezel snaps into place.

3. Re-insert the 6 bezel screws and tighten.

Tool list:
#2 Phillips screwdriver
Drill
9/64" drill bit
Awl or similar sharp tool for marking hole placement
Tape measure or ruler
6/32" nut driver or socket

TO INSTALL HANDLE ON HOT SPOT:

1. Remove Bezel

2. Using dimensions provided below mark hole placements with an awl or similar sharp tool.

3. Drill holes with a 9/64" drill bit.

4. Install handle with provided hardware.
