General Information
The kit is for use on Model TS958 Tone/Speech Generators. This kit includes the following components:

Installation
CAUTION
Before installing this kit, make sure all the power to Model TS958 is shut off. Failure to do so could
result in serious injury.
Removing the Old Power Supply
1. Loosen the 4 captive screws on the front cover of Model TS958.
2. Open the front cover. Locate the power supply on the right side of the rear panel. There is a shield
with a CAUTION
3. Remove and discard the 2 screws in the upper left and lower right corners of the shield. Remove the
shield.
4. Unplug the connector from J1 on the power supply board.
HIGH VOLTAGE label on it covering the power supply.
5. Remove and save the 4 screws in the 4 corners of the power supply board.
6. Remove the power supply board.

Installation of New Power Supply
1. Align the mounting holes in the 4 corners of the new power supply board with the holes in the back of
the rear enclosure of Model TS958. Secure the PCBA using the screws from Step 5 in the previous
procedure.
2. Attach the new fuse rating label to the shield over top of the old label.
3. Lay the shield on top of the power supply, aligning the mounting holes in the shield with the
mounting holes in the power supply.
4. Use the 2 new screws to secure the shield to the power supply. Insert the lugged green/yellow wire
under the upper left screw, and tighten the screw.
5. Snap the white connector onto the power supply board at J1.
6. Close the uni t, and tigh ten the 4 captiv e screws in t he 4 corner s. R eap ply the pow er t o the unit, and
watch for the LED sweeps.
