General Information
The Model 12513-006 Valox® Door Repla cement K i t servic es the followi n g :
Model 256 Series, 257, and 258. Model 12513-001 services the Models 9081 and 9085.
NOTE: The Model 12513-001 Kit is NOT approved for use on telephones (256 Series, 257 and 258). Use
of this kit will violate UL 1459. If you ordered this kit for a telephone, please excha nge it f or kit M odel
12513-006. This kit includes the following components:

1 Door
8 Stainless steel screw
8 ¼-inch washer
1 Left lif t-off hinge
1 Right lift-of f hinge
A ¼-inch Allen wrench is needed to install this kit.
Installation
1. Open the enclosure door to acces s the hinge screws.
2. Loosen a nd remove the two sc rews fast ening t he lower hinge on the mid-sect ion of the enclosure, and
remove the hinge.
3. Lift up and remove the old door.
4. Loosen a nd remove the two sc rews securing the remaining hinge to the mid-section of the enclosure.
Remove and discard the hinge.

5. Fasten the new upper male hinge half to the mid-section of the enclosure.
6. Posi tion the new door by mating the upper hinge halves.
7. Mate the lower male hinge ha lf with the door hinge half, and position it in p lace with t he mid-s ection.
Fasten them with the two new screws.
8. To adjust as neces sary, loos en t he screws , shift the hinge; retighten the scr ews and close the door.
